uhh no sorry i dont. Im not a complete noob i just dont know how to, so if you have a link to instructions thatd be cool. But what would i put in the cwm zip?
after some research im pretty sure i can create a zip file. Now what should i put in it?
Okay look at the theme zip and find files that effect the things you lost then find those files in the rom and put them in a cwm zip and point to the right spots.

You can find a theme that has the same folders as yours and use there update script. That's what I do

Might even consider using MetaMorph if its just a theme, he has a tutorial and template laying around the intertubez somewherez.

i recently rooted my epic and am on 2.2 froyo dk28 build. i want to try the nebula rom. my clockwork version looks like to to low to be able to do the nebula rom.... How do i update it/where do i find a different version? and also where is the dk28 modem that it says i need. any help greatly appreciated!
Nebula rom is a great choice. You'll want to search for one click root 2.5.5 download it, unzip it, click run and it will put clockwork 3.x on there and convert all your files to ext4. Before you reboot do the wipe x3 then flash your rom everything should be good to go.
Editj Hey I'm sorry search for oneclickrootcwm3 that's the one you want. It's a sticky in the development thread.

And of course do your backups and all that jazz before you start.

i did use the 2.5.5 to root my phone, and it put clockwork mod 2.5.1.0 on my phone.....
edit: nevermind i found the cwm 3.0+ zip file. going to do that now, however, i still need this modem thing that they are talking about in the thread, does anyone know anything about that?
yeah I meant oneclickrootcwm3 sorry.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
so do i need to worry about that modem thing or is that included in the noobnl download of this cwm3.0?
No if you already have the dk28 rom on there you are good to go.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
thank you so much for the help! one more question, when i flash this rom, what option do i choose: "apply update from sd card" or "install zip from sdcard"?
nevermind, i did some reading looks like its "install zip from sdcard"
"install zip from sd card" then pick "choose zip to install" and it will let you install the zip without renaming it.

Also one last thing if you don't know how to odin back to stock I suggest reading up to it. It's very useful if anything screws up......there is a wiki page on it.

Yes, download the rom to the root of your SD card and flash away.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Absolutely. You download the zip and flash it through recovery. And for many roms, you can have ROMmanager do all the work for you.

Be careful with Rom Manager. It said it needed to update Clockwork Recovery and in the process of rebooting the phone, the recovery image is corrupted and my phone will no longer boot into recovery.
I haven't tried reflashing the recovery image via adb yet, but hope it will work.
You dont have to use rom manager, you can just navigate with the browser and download as if you use a computer. The file would be located in /sdcard/download
The only problem is the data speeds.
Peace

I would like to put a bunch of the zip files I flash and throw them all together and flash just one zip file. Anyone have any insight for me?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
You should be able to extract the file structure of ur multiple zips and consolidate them into one flshable. Not sure how to explain it better than that though. What all are u flashing?

More then likely you will need to change the install script depending on the file structure of .zips you added to one .zip

Can someone with a stock NS4G use root explorer to zip '/system' and post it here, (you don't have to be rooted to do this).
To do that open root explorer, long press system and select zip this folder, the finished zip file will be system.zip in /sdcatd/speedsoftware/zip.
I can mirror after that so you don't have to host the file.
That would help us see the differences from the GSM nexus. I will also use it to make a zip for people who want to go back to stock after messing up or something, and make a deodexed version so people can theme there NS4G.

both of those things have already been posted in the dev section.
*will post system in a sec
**nvm, you want stock rooted, thats not me
I haven't seen a stock flashable rom, just one that uses Odin to do that, and all the deodexd versions there are modified with custom kernels and apps.
Can you point me to a totally stock rom
