MMS problems? - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, I realized yesterday that my phone does not receive picture messages, I can send then just fine, as well as sms. I can even receive sms messages fine. I called tmo yesterday and they had me delete the "telkila" (sp?) apn to no avail.then they had me do wipe/factory reset. After all that I still don't receive mms. I'm out of town and plan to call them this afternoon when I get back home, but before I do, I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem or maybe has any suggestions. Rooted, using handcent sms...
Sent from myTouch 4G using XDA app

I cannot send MMS and have not received any so IDK if people have tried to send me any or not otherwise I would be sure I had recieving MMS problems as well...
I can send and recieve SMS fine though..
I just sent an MMS (I think it went through...)...I think it depends on the method...it didnt work when I view the picture, tap on it, select the SEND OUT icon and then I tap Messages....
it DID work when I did this method:
I had the SMS open, clicked the PaperClip icon, attached the picture, then input the persons name....
weird? -maybe the expresso UI is interfering with froyos native mms ability?

I have configured the Web GPRS setting & the internet works, I can send MMS messages but cannot send SMS msgs. Though I can receive SMS msgs sent to me. Wierd uh..... I inserted my SIM card into another phone & I can send & receive msgs. So I know it has to do with some setting on my new HTC cell.
Can someone please shed some light on this

I think it could be in some file or registry. Because wm's creators missed this option in GUI.

Maybe someone know where is this log to edit it manually. I mean SMS Service Center...

xv6800 Flashing Question

Ok, since updating to the new flash and radio. the only things i see different is when i click on the Verizon Wireless icon it does nothing and when i click on unread messages it shows sms/mms, outlook E-mail and setup e-mail. i am fine with it just saying txt, sms and mms. how can i do this please?
my question about the txt messaging. before when you clicked on no unread messages it would show txt messaging, sms and mms. now i don't see txt messaging. how do i txt now?
and when i slide the keypad open or closed it doesn't make the sound. so i went to a site and was going to add a sound in but when it tells you to go into the registry i don't see the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\SlidingSound
i don't see the "slidingsound" location either.
Lastley when my wife send me picture msgs i don't get them. only getting txt messages?
thanks
sounds like you have several things going on here, and you need to do alot of reading in the Titan Upgrading forum to get your answers
1) your ROM might not have MMS
2) your MMS might not be configured correctly
3) you may need to reinstall your carrier cab
4) you may need the newest Archsoft MMS cab
in threaded SMS, all your messaging, whether it is text or picture, will be in the same message dialog. picture messages will show up in the threaded SMS as just a little picture icon, which you can click on to view the picture.
if your wife sends you a (nude) picture and NOTHING happens on your phone, you have no MMS at all (currently). if your wife sends you a (sexy) picture and you receive some kind of error, you have MMS but it is not configured correctly, and you need to change your MDN key to your 10 digit phone number. if your wife sends you a (dirty) picture and you receive it in your threaded SMS, forward it to ME!

Incoming MMS

Hi
I have a problem with incoming MMS. All the settings conserning MMS in my XPERIA are correct, because I can send MMS, there is no problem and I can receive MMS as well, but only from few people. There are some people, who try to send me MMS, but I'm not able to receive it from them. When someone send me MMS and for some reason my phone doesnt wont to reiceve it (the phone only lights on the display, but there is no further action) the next day I receive SMS with text that I can see the the MMS on the internet (this is the way how you can see MMS on the phone which doesnt support this function, but it usually comes in the same time, not the next day - in Czech republic, o2) - so my phone is acting like its not able to receive MMS but actually it can, because from someone else it works. I even tryed to send an empty MMS from the other phone to check, if its not in the big size of it. I hope somebody can help me....Thanks a lot for response

mms dissapearing, no notification

Hello.
I have problem receiving mms. I have my APN for internet and mms set up according to my provider settings I got from them. I was able to send mms, so I guess my mms APN works. But I can not receive mms.
When my friend sent me mms, I got my phone vibrating. There was no sound although I have it set to sound. I get sound for sms. I went to messaging app, but there was no evidence of mms. We tried that again, I could even see something like "Unknown: MMS received" (or something along those lines) but the notification did not stay in notification bar and the message was again nowhere to be found in messaging app. I also tried ChompSMS and HandecentSMS. No change. While testing, we send maybe 10 mms, and one of them actually made it to my messaging inbox and I was able to view it. Others just vibrated couple of times (I guess network was trying to deliver them again when failed before).
I am on G1, T-Mobile Slovakia and CyanogenMod4
Anyone knows solution please?
Thanks.
p.s. I also tested making sure my 3g data is on and working.
Just for the future reference. It was HandcentSMS doing this. After uninstall, stock app works just fine.

MMS Timestamp??

Anyone have different timestamp when they send MMS but just before it or after you send a SMS, you get your original timestamp? Send and receive are different from SMS and MMS.. Just using stock 4.2.1 but rooted.

I'm experiencing a similar issue with my Droid DNA. In the stock Messages app, when I look at my list of recent text threads, the place where it's supposed to show the time for the most recently sent/received text always shows the time for the most recently sent/received MMS message, even if there were subsequent SMS messages. It's really annoying, and the only way I've found to fix it is to delete MMS messages, which isn't ideal.
Did you find any solution for this, short of using another messaging app?
