hey experts,
just a fortnight before i updated my xperia x10 from 1.6 to 2.1. I used nordic flasher on this website and flashed my 1.6 orange uk fw to 1.6 generic nordic fw and then used SEUS to update to 2.1. It worked for me but after that i am experiencing randoms shutdowns of my phone. its not so often only happens once in 2 3 days. But still annoys. Can anybody suggest what might be the problem. and how can it be solved?? PLEASE HELPPPP!!!!!!!

Hi all,
Got a message appear on my phone in the info bar today, says a new software update is available.
I've tried to follow it through but it says I must connect to the Sony Ericsson suite on my PC to get the update.
Anyone know what it is?
Ive got X10i FW1.6, Baseband 1.1.25, Kernel 2.6.29-rel with build R2BA020
Bought from Virgin Mobile (who supply them direct from SE factory completely unlocked with no carrier specifics on)
I may try to update when I get home from work tonight but the last time I updated the software from the PC suite it took about an hour and wiped the phone back to basic settings, I only want to do this if its Android 2.1!

I think it's R2BA026, Was news that they were realsed in the U.K and France to debranded phones
Its a good update, do it, forget for now the 2.1, it will stay 1.6, 2.1 will be lauched in 2/3 weeks.
and don't worry about wiping the phone - you won't need to with this update.

Havn't seen this reported anywhere but I'm having problems ever since upgrading to Froyo on my vodafone branded set.
Keep getting force close in the HTC weather and other applications - Froyo seemed quick to start with, but then seems to be quite laggy after a couple of days use (theres plenty of complaints about this laggyness on the vodafone forums).
I'm just wondering - now that the OTA has been released for unbranded sets. If I unbrand my set (using a goldcard and downgrading to 1.31) - can I install the unbranded version of Froyo? i.e. get the OTA update.

Tried downgrading to 1.31 using the usual method (hack4legend-v5) but it refused to work giving the cr--rw---- error
Would really like to move to an unbranded ROM (hopefully won't get the issue with weather constantly force closing) - anyone successfully done this?

I have Xperia x10 Rogers (Canada) phone. My phone was locked once (the pattern problem) and to resolve the issue, I upgraded the android version to 2.1. It seemed to work.
But now my phone is working really slow. I'm also having service problems. Now I think it was much better with v1.6. Can anyone please tell me how to downgrade to the v1.6 (Eclair). Or if is there any other way of resolving this issue.

Why don't you try "repair software" via SEUS or PC Companion before going back to 1.6? There are many Rogers members running 2.1 on xda, and I have never heard of this problem.
Also, to fix the lag problem, try rooting, optimizing (enable JIT), and removing SE bloatware like face recognition and timescape. All can be done with one click each with Flash Tool 0.2.9 found here....

i´ve tried to flash the 2.3.3 update from honkong (postet somewhere here) and the device don´t show me anything now. So i flashed rooted 2.3.2 - still black screen after reboot. Any ideas?
