Hi guys,
i have a strange problem with my desire.
I had a branded phone which i successfully unbranded with a goldcard.
Then i rooted it and installed clockwork succesfully with this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835746
The phone run perfectly the last days.
Then i decided to try the canyogen beta rom.
I made a backup with clockwork, then successfully installed canyogen.
After i had seen everything, i decided to go back to the stock rom and restored my clockwork backup.
Everything now works as it has before, except one point.
I get no more signal with my simcard anymore. Theres just a little cross above the signal strength symbol.
I tried to restore egain, i tried to wipe everything, i tried to install a completely fresh ruu file. Nothing helped, i still get no signal anymore.
The sim works perfectly in another phone.
Thanks for any help!!
Try flashing the branded RUU you had in the beggining.
If you cant get a hold of it, flash a WWE RUU with the goldcard inside your phone.
Cheers

I wanted to try NFSFAN's custom 1.28 Bell rom, so I unlocked with IMCokeMan's 2.31 unlocker (2.31 instead of 0.41 because I had previously upgraded to UTStarcom's Bell WM6.1 rom with the 3.42.50 radio when it came out). The unlock process went smoothly, and I had no problem flashing NFSFAN's 1.28 rom after that either.
NSFAN's RUU said I was successful, and my Vogue automatically restarted but got hung up on the "Bell" splash screen, I tried to let it work itself out for over 15 minutes before I tried a reset, but it still had the same problem. Tried a hard reset: same problem. I let it sit connected to the charger for a half week now and it still is hung at the "Bell" splash screen.
I'd try to flash the stock rom again, but I can't get the RUU to work without an activesync connection (right?).
Did I brick it? Any advice would be appreciated.
Here's everything my version-screen says if it helps at all:
M 03
B 01
P DCAAXOM-4350H
R 3.42.50
D 3NFS (is that NFSFAN's rom or an error?)

OK, relax - its not bricked
the D 3NFS is just NFSFAN's signature on his ROM's nothing to worry about there
First try pulling the battery for a couple minutes and then putting it back in and trying to start, if that still fails, have you tried to hard-reset the phone? red+green+stylus in hole at bottom and hold until the gray screen appears warning you your about to reset the device (your lose you data but it will reload the last ROM you flash
try those if that still doesnt do it, rename the RUU_signed.nbh file to VOGUIMG.nbh and copy it to your SD card then put the SD card back into the phone and press and hold the power+camera+stylus and it will reflash from the SD card (referred to as bootloader mode)
hope that helps

I'm up and running again!
I can't thank you enough Detroit Doug, I don't know what I would've done without your help.
Same problem.. put NFSROM's 6.5 rom on my vogue and it worked fine at first, but froze while i was changing the Today theme, and when i soft-reset, it hard-reset itself instead. Never heard of that happening.
After the hard reset it restarted itself as usual, but never recovered after that, just gets stuck at Bell loading screen eternally.
I think it might be because I let customization run the first time, forgetting that I was supposed to reset before customizations run. Possible?
Anyways, I'm trying your last suggestion Detroit_Doug, I put the RUU_signed.nbh on my microsd and renamed it to VOGUIMG.nbh (no other files), popped it in and put it in bootloader... now it's at the gray screen saying it's updating, but the progress bar isn't going anywhere.
Any other solution to recover?
...
Fixed it. I gotta look around more for solutions! I downloaded the official Bell ROM from the HTC website and that ran flawlessly.
Now to do it all over again!

No problem - the SEARCH feature can be your friend LOL
As for the initial issue - it came with the today theme - you state you flashed to 6.5 ROM which will NOT use today themes (not sure if it was a misused term on your part or if you were actually trying to use a today theme on a 6.5 UI (Titanium or CHome as it is referred to)
Even then, if you are flashing to the 6.5 ROM and wanting themes, they really are not needed - change the overall color via then included color themes and/or install the Color Bar cabs which can be found around the forum and then just browse to a picture it will work great doing something simple rather than complex on a pre-release OS
There are some "themes" available, but be careful and read the threads regarding them before installing and try to keep to the ROM thread itself when applying themes as other users will report pros and cons of such action and can keep you from having to hard reset or completely re-flash your phone for some colors and graphics

Hello,
I have an XV6700 that for almost 5 months now was running WM 6.5 flawlessly. I worked for a company that forces a passcode on the device. Now I never had an issue with the passcode until yesterday. Even though I kept entering it it assumed that I wasnt and after 5 attempts it hard wiped the phone. Which that doesn't bother me. But I have noticed since the wipe I cannot enable the phone radio any more and when it boots where it says R= theres nothing there. So basically I have a big ugly PDA right now. I have tried to flash to a different WM6.5 rom and the same thing happens. I tried to flash to the 1.43 radio but with the RUU that came with it, it did not want to flash and when I tried the RUU from the 6.5 rom I had it just errored out when I tried to update. Any help making my phone a phone again would be greatly appreciated!
Hi, about 5 days ago my wifi stopped working. I'd turned it off a few days earlier since I didn't need it. When I try to turn it back on now though, it takes a few seconds and then says error. I'm not sure what's wrong with it.
Since then I've reflashed my phone rom (leedroid), factoryreset it, and updated the radio. nothing so far has fixed it. Mobile data still works so I wouldn't think it was hardware, but a software error shouldn't have survived the wipe and the radio update.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had similar issue when flashing another kernel on my stock ROM. Maybe your kernel isn't compatible with the radio or the kernel modules haven't been applied correctly. Hardware error should be presumed after flashing original RUU.
The thing is that I hadn't played with my phone since last year. the wifi just randomly stopped working. It was still on 1.22ghz kernel 1.0.2. It got reset to stock kernel when I factory wiped it.
I've gotta go travelling again for work tomorrow so I'll try flashing the original ruu back next weekend. Would it just be a case of restoring the original nandroid backup I did before I first h-booted/rommed it?

As far as I know, factory wipe deletes just the user data. I might be wrong though, because this is my first android, so I'm still learning the basics on rooting, kernels, etc. But from your first post it seemed that you updated your radio in that period, so this might be the clue to what happened. I don't know if the nandroid backup would restore everything to stock, but I'm pretty sure that the original RUU would. Still, you should follow a procedure that would allow you to keep your root (I think if you have radio S-OFF, you'd be able to flash 1.32 RUU and just root it). Anyway, you can't return the phone for warranty services with a custom ROM, so you still need to flash a stock RUU.
Sorry, I should clarify: I did the radio update yesterday to see if it could fix it. It wasn't the cause.
Hi, I was running Android on my HD2 for almost 9 months, currently HyperDroid5.5.2. Till now, without any problem whatsoever. Suddenly, when I checked my phone this morning it didn't respond. So I waited a while, then tried pulling the battery. Booting got stuck at Android logo. No problem I thought, I periodically do nandroid backups just in case. Tried to restore it - stuck at restoring data. Then I tried advanced restore, only boot and system... either of them didn't work. After this, I decided to reinstall from scratch - task29, radio, magldr, cwm. The ROM installation got stuck again. So I tried flashing stock SPL and stock ROM from HTC site. SPL okay, ROM not. Got error 262 from the RUU. Tried searching the forum but there is so much stuff that it's impossible to get through. So please don't bash me from beeing a noob. Can anyone please help?
Edit: After the phone finally accepted WM back, I want to put Android back on it... ROM installation gets stuck at restoring Batterystats.bin... any ideas?
Long story short (I can go into more detail if needed):
Had a stock rooted rom with a zv8 radio/modem on sprint. I successfully flashed the Optimus 2.2 rom with the new ZVA (Sprint Spark) modem and everything was fine and dandy and working perfectly for a few hours. Then i was a dummy and restored apps from my previous roms using mybackup and one of those apps was the xposed installer with a few different modules.
Phone froze, rebooted and would no longer attatch to a network. No signal, just a red x. No radios work, not even wifi or bluetooth. If the screen goes blank the phone will freeze and bootcycle. Or if it is on for more then a minute, it will freeze and turn off and get stuck in a bootloop.
Recovery worked. I tried everything. Flashing other roms, with the appropriate radios of course, and restoring my backup with the appropriate radio. Nothing works, and ive had the same issue with each and every rom and radio.
I finally whipped out lgflashtool and returned to stock unrooted to no avail. Same issue, except now my touchscreen is not responsive, which means no adb to reroot and the pc doesn't recognize the phone while booted. Now im aware of a method using Ubuntu to get a custom recovery on these when all else fails, but is it worth my time if there is no fixing my issue?
Also, how much can you do with the lgflashtool? Can i flash different radios or root using it?
Worst case scenario i will take my phone to sprint and get a warranty replacement. The only issue with that is, while the rootchecker in download mode shows "unrooted" , the boot animation on the stock .tot image is an lg one, not the Sprint logo one and i feel like the service person would catch on. Any idea on how to change that as well?
Thanks in advance guys! Im kind of freaking out that im running out of options.

I've done this. But I found one from a new source and I'll try it again. Would I need to flash the radio again? Thank Thank you for the help.
