Hi,
Desire Z has a feature of reminding about unread emails. It would be great if it reminded about new messages but it doesn't, it reminds about unread ones. I intentionally leave unread messages to deal with them later on and even though I clear new mail notification in 15 minutes or so it will remind me about the very same emails. Is there a way to turn this thing off, or better yet set it to remind about new emails?

Does anyone know of a tool which can automatically provide a reminder that an unread SMS has been received? I'm thinking of a beep every 30 seconds or something like that.
I guess not... How weird, people must be happy enough to miss SMS messages!!

I don't think people generally miss their unread SMS, even without any reminder app. If you had Inbox summary displayed on your Today screen, then you'll know you have unread SMS or emails.
If one couldn't hear the beep when a new SMS arrived, chances are one could not also hear the subsequent 30 seconds interval reminder beeps.
have you found it?
Hi.. Have you got what you're looking for?
I often got unread sms/missed call.
When I check my XDA, it's been a few hours late..
kaiser notifications is the program for you then
Hello!
I have very annoying problem and didn't found any solution so far.
There are few e-mail accounts configured on my HD: Exchange and 4 POP3 accounts.
I am not reading all the e-mails as soon as they arrive so I all the time have ~10 unread messages. Usually I dismiss all notifications or even open an e-mail message and then mark it as "Unread" just not to forget about it.
So, the problem is that after I dismiss a notification or even mark a message as "Unread" manually I am keep getting notifications that there are some "New emails" arrived. I get these notifications every few minutes, so it is very very annoying.
Does anyone know the solution?
Best regards,
efrost
I use T-Mobile in US with the HD2 and have two different POP emails setup. When I get a new email, it usually shows on both the Mail and Messages slider icons. This means I have to manage those emails twice. Shouldn't email just come up on Mail and text messages just come up on Messages? How can I stop this duplication? (Note: it doesn't do it all the time, but maybe 75% of the time)
... even though the 25 messages which I was notified as being unread have indeed been read, and were read a week ago. That count of 25 has stayed that way since last week. However, I received 2 new messages today, both still unread, and yet the count hasn't increased to 27!
What gives?? I've saved 3 other email accounts in the Email app, and they have some read and unread messages there as well, but no notification pops up stating that my read messages have been unread.
try to search by keyword: "label:unread in:inbox" (without quote)
My question wasn't about search; it's more about why I keep getting notified of an incorrect # of unread messages.
Anyhow, all this may be for naught-- just installed K9 instead, with outstanding first impressions.
Have same problem with yahoo email. Once in awile it notifies me that I have 11 unread emails but it's a false notification.

I experienced the same issue with the stock email app. K-9 was my solution also.
Is there a way to receive gmail notifications for only emails with certain labels?
Normally, I have email notifications off on my phone, so I don't get disturbed constantly. However, sometimes I'm expecting an important email from someone. I would like to receive notifications on my phone when I receive these emails.

This app is well worth the 88 cents. You can setup not only notifications per label but also notification widgets per label on the home screens.
