Well, I'm a bit disappointed. I've searched the forums here and branched out to Google as well and I cannot find a free app for editing Office files. If I just haven't found it yet, please point me in the right direction.
Every WM phone I've owned came with Office preinstalled and every Blackberry has come with Docstogo, both of which had editing capabilities right on the phone.
I'm a new Aria owner now and I just can't believe there isn't a free Office app. Maybe I've missed something?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Download Any Android Paid App For Free Using Applanet MOD EDIT AND YOU KNOW WHY
I'm not looking for anything illegal or stolen. I just can't believe there isn't a free app for the job or that AT&T couldn't spring $10 to load a version of an app capable of editing on such an expensive device.
Am I over looking something?
Thanks.

Thanks for the idea. I'd rather be able to edit files directly on my sd than to have to upload them, edit, then download again. I may have to resort to that if there simply isn't another way.
I still think it's utterly ridiculous to have to pay for the ability to edit or print for that matter (every winmo device I've had came with jetcet5), office documents on a freaking smart phone! What's so smart about it if basic office functions aren't available?
Thanks again.

Microsoft Office on Android? A cab file? Does this run in an emulation layer or are you just being sarcastic?
I don't remember the iphone having any free office editing software either. It makes sense for winmo and blackberry to have this functionality since winmo is a MS platform and blackberry is a business platform. You could try oliveoffice editor it is free and allows you to edit doc/docx files.

Thank you!!! Finally an Office Package, that's FREE, w/editing capabilities! This is obviously still W.I.P., but definitely usable for my needs.
Why doesn't this package get more press? Folks should be raving about it here on the forums. Thanks again.
One reason may be fue to the size of thr Aria. I know I dont do a lot of document editing on this phone due to that.

So I got g1 last night and I love it, downloaded a few apps from market so I figured I would share recommendations for apps I have so far. First tmobile hot spot locater is a must. Also got myspace which is cool but not really needed. Wikimobile is awesome, a must have and any cut program allows you to place shortcuts on homescreen on just about anything on your phone, including battery. Which programs has everyone else found useful, recommend?
Downloaded
Stopwatch
Flashlight
Spelldial - love it!
Bistromath
Ringdroid - mp3 cutter
Pacman
Solitaire
Quickpedia
Yellow book
Anycut

I didn't like the solitare interface. It was a forced landscape, and the card sizing is funky...not the cards themselves, but the symbols/numbers. They should've taken a cue from WinMo and made the hearts, diamonds, clubs, spades oversized so that they're more visible.

I think hacking should really not even be offered in this forum.. Since this is about development, there is a very fine line between legal and illegal.. so we all strive to keep this site alive by not offer any warez or serial number hacks..
So If I were you, I would edit my post and remove the offer.. dont want the moderators down on you.

well, since you are NOT a developer and DID NOT discover the exploit yourself (and for the community to improve the software) - that makes you nothing more than a common theif.
i wish i were an admin or moderator - i would get your IP address, find the ISP, call the company and your local law enforcement agency.... you PUBLICLY confessed to STEALING.

I'm trying to get one of these HTC WiFi Router options to work correctly with an upgraded Stock Sprint Touch Pro 2 that has the WinMo 6.5 update.
I've installed a few that seem to be the same thing, however I cannot find any changes. I've checked the obvious places, start menu, connections... Looked for suggestive entries in Program Files / Registry... Can't seem to see what, if anything, has been added, or how to utilize it.
Any suggestions?
I do appreciate anyone's time and effort to get something like this working...

Hey levi, didn't see your question till today.
When I install it on the tmo 6.5 ROM, the app creates a new folder in the start menu called "Communication" and puts the icon for it in there. If you don't find that, then the file it links to is here -> \Windows\CMInternetSharing.exe
You can start it manually from there, and copy/paste a shortcut to wherever in your start menu you want it.
New Windows mobile Bing app is here!
No clear changlog is out yet.
"It's almost difficult to say how many Windows Phone owners prefer to use Microsoft's own Bing app as opposed to Google's. Luckily for those users who happily rely on using the Bing app, there is an update that brings the app to version 5.1.2010. It's unfortunate that Verizon Windows Phone owners can't get in on this update – that's because it only is available to Windows Phones on AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. It's not to say that it's a bad thing for those Verizon owners because it looks to be only a maintenance update and doesn't really offer anything exciting..........."

Until the new BING is able to access my contacts, I will continue to use the September 2009 version I have.
I tried this new one and I don't like the way it locates movies [the old one let you search by theater or by movie] and I have to type/speak a friend's address in to get directions to them [the old one let you select from your contact list to set either origination or destination points].
These are 'deal breakers' for me. Until they are resolved I won't touch the new BING.
I'm just glad I saved that old .cab!

I didn't expect a change to Bing Mobile until WP7.
It seems to be more of a buf fix than anything grand.
Can somone please post a link to the best available BING cab for the Sprint TP2 ????
Thanks.
I was using the stock Sprint 6.5 ROM for the TP2 and preferred that version of BING to the new one.
I lost that version of BING when I installed MightyROM Rhodium.
Garbage. Why do they not put their bird's eye view back in? It's really the only thing going for Bing.
Not sure why you say to bad for Verizon but it's on my Verizon TouchPro 2 and working just fine. Downloaded straight from m.bing.com/download...

Is this the cab from the Sprint WM6.5 or is it an earlier one?
My Sprint WM6.5 Livesearch gives me a Bing version of 4.6.9179.1 (OEM). Is that this version?
I ask as I would like to have a backup of my Bing version [or newer] so I can continue to test Bing upgrades as they come out and then I can revert to one that allows access to contacts if the newest Bing doesn't.
My Bing cab is an older version. I would have to install it to verify which one, but it was from September 9 2009.
Thanks again.

There's another new version of Bing out which does a MUCH better job of navigation than the previous version. Might be worth checking out and comparing to the version prior to the UI change.

There's a formal Google Docs app which is okay but only lets you access documents online. For an offline and online solution I use Evernote.
When I was in Korea I remember Samsung was advertising being able to see, use and control the phone through the windows application, but it was a windows only application.
