Hi,
Could you tell me where I can find arabic firmware
Thanks
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
I've been searching this, and the only thing I could find was an official arabic region firmware off of samfirmware.com P1000JPJJ2 (if pass: samfirmware.com). You have to flash using Odin using this PIT P1 file and make sure you don't select RE-PARTITION. These are instructions from the samfirmware site (http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-p1000.htm). I havn't tested it yet, because I'm waiting for Bell firmware to come in case I need something to fall back to.
I tried to upgrade the firmware to Arabic. however the installation failed and my phone is not booting now. how to boot the phone. Thanks
Can you re-trace your steps? Which firmware did you use? Did you check or uncheck Re-Partition? What pit file did you use?
The upgrade to the P1000JPJJ2 should only be done after having you device upgraded to P1000JPJJ1 then flash the P1000JPJJ2 & noting not selecting Re-Partition
Oh I see. Then that means that he will have to flash P1000XXJHA before as a prerequeist to P1000JPJJ1?

I did not have to do this -- I upgraded to P1000JPJJ1 with re-partition on -- then upgraded to the P1000JPJJ2 with "no-partition"
I used P1000 P1000JVJJ1 ## 816.PIT .
That's because this guy is probably on a later firmware and will need to downgrade to a suitable full firmware before he can update to an Arabic firmware. You have to remember, very few of the firmware packages available are full flashes and people are all on different device versions.

Hi To All Gurus,
I have a new Samsung GTab and planning to upgrade my firmware because the stock firmware always pop a message " Force Close " when I install any apps from Market.
My firmware is Stock I thinks it's a JPJK2, I buy this in Riyadh and I can use any sim so I think it's not lock to any provider.
I saw new firmware from SamFirmware which is P1000JPJM5 is this compatible to my GTab Arab version I may say?
I download Odin 1.7 from SamFirmware also and I saw PIT, PDA, PHONE and CSC, I download P1000JPJM5 and PIT for Euro but I don't know if this can match to my device also if I don't have PHONE and CSC it's means my GTab will not work as normal phone or 3G if I don't have the PHONE and CSC file?
For those who can answer some of my question please try to guide me so I can start Rooting my GTab also I can upgrade my device.
I will appreciate more if you can explain it to me and URL link to all what I need to download for firmware upgrade will do a lot help for me also.
Thank you and Regards to all, more power to XDA and it's users.
Don't flash any JM roms from samsung! You will be stuck with a locked bootloader and not be able to use any open developed roms here.
Hi rangercaptain,
Then how can I root my GT?
I encounter a lot of Force Close thats why I'm planning to upgrade my Firmware.
Please advice me on where I need to start, TIA.

I am on UK Galaxy S and wish to go back to an original firmware for the moment through KIES. I have tried flashing various firmwares through ODIN to then have KIES that the firmware is not updatable
I have the latest KIES - please can some one tell me which firmware to flash back to using ODIN and the connect through KIES - thanks
You may be better off using the spoof tool.
To spoof I need to be rooted and busy box - what is the best method?
Kies only reads official firmware and will not read stock firmware in regards to update .
Spoof firmware best bet as looks like you are one of the 99.99% that does not backup before modding .

I've flashed jm1 via odin then upgraded to jpy via kies numerous times, so that's not quite true
@jamiec902
Go to samfirmware.com. Download jm1 firmware plus 512 pit file plus the flashing instructions.follow their excellent guide to the letter to flash jm1 via odin. You will then be able to upgrade to jpy via kies. You will lose the 3 button reset as jm1 messes the bootloader, the solution to this can be found elsewhere on this site. Best of luck

Flash XWJS7 XEE via Odin. Kies will then detect and update to XWJVB XEE. Worked for me.

Flash JPY using Odin, use pit and re-partition if you like: Download (Double-click to extract).
The firmware does not include bootloaders and will not mess your phone. This is the latest firmware for UK.
The best method is downloading the official firmware using Check Fus Downloader as I did. You can find it in "Themes and Apps" section.
Simply, you have to remember your old firmware number e.g I9000ADJM1
I have Samsung Galaxy S on O2 UK, my firmware for Eclair was :
I9000ADJM1/I9000O2UJM1/I9000ADJM1/I9000ADJM1
after you download the program, go to that directory and type
Code:
CheckFusDownloader.exe -c I9000XXJF3/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3 XEU
XEU is the CSC for your old firmware.
of course you should change numbers to your firmware
it will check the latest firmware which is froyo. replace the option "-c" with "-dl" to download the firmware.
if you need help PM me.
P.S: there are missing steps needed to carry on the method, you can find it in the thread mentioned above.
Hi everyone,
I used custom roms for a long time and after that i decided to upgrade original samsung rom via kies. so i downloaded turkish rom from samfirmware.com and now i connect to kies and it says this device is not official samsung device and doesnt upgrade my samsung in the past there was method called spoof kies however it doesnt work with latest kies?
so how can i upgrade the official rom?
You should change your CSC code to Turkish CSC.
I second SiSL and if that doesn't work go to an older FW and then try it (check csc again as well)

both method doesnt work with any official roms
So you have downgraded to froyo and tried, or GB 2.3 ????
If you haven't yet tried froyo or eclair and intend to, don't forget that you may not have download mode or recovery

well, when i bought my phone from seller it had original 2.2.1 rom installed and after that i upgraded to 2.3 official rom using kies. after i used 2 months i wanted to try custom roms and i installed official 2.2.1 rom from samfirmware.com so that i can have 2.3 original rom back. at this point i have problem because kies says, "hey dude this rom is not an official samsung rom so you cant upgrade your phone" i tried many roms from that website and none of them is not working.
What I mean by changing CSC is not oding flashing the Turkish CSC...
You have to change CSC using *#272*IMEI CODE#
You can find your IMEI code from Phone Info menu...
hey guys,
i tried the new rom by civato, for this i flashed the NE6 bootloader. the rom didn't work as expected (no data) so i tried to restore the stock rom NB7 via odin.
odin said succes, but the phone did not boot. i flashed cwm and flashed som roms from there, but i always got a freeze/bootloop, even after factory reset.
so i tried a full new flash with nand erase all. flash succeded, but i could not boot.
then i downloaded the N9005ZHUENE6 firmware from hongkong and tried to flash it, but odin always fails. now i get the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue." message and can't do anything with the phone anymore.
Can you please help me?
thank you in advance!
edit: problem solved, the NE4 pit file from sajjjjjjad did the job!

Head over to the HK thread(s) and see how to restore back to normal with Hong Kong variants it's a little different (you do have a HK version I assume? and not just risked an HK FW flash?)--- You can flash via ODIN again even with that error on the device.

Is there a difference between the international N9005 and the HK variant? my N9005 is from germany. i flashed the german firmware again and the error is gone, but the device is still in the bootloop..

Very slightly yes. More to do with some HK Software issues, that's the only N9005 firmware which shouldn't/can't be flashed on every device model N9005 - regarding your bootlooping.
Grab a PIT file, sort out what firmware you use and match them, then flash via Odin, there are a few guides and it's pretty straightforward, however you need to read properly or you risk a hard-brick.

I flashed the latest DBT firmware a couple of times, with a PIT file and without, with full nand erase and without. Odin always says passed but i get no boot sound and the device gets stuck at the boot animation.
I think the problem could be the NE6 bootloader i flashed, but if i flash the NE6 again after i flashed the NB7 firmware it doesn't boot either. Is it possible to downgrade the bootloader to another KitKat firmware?

thanks for the tip, do you have a source for the NE5? i can't find a download for this.
You can use www.sammobile.com/firmwares.
Make sure you have the correct pit file as you changed it to the hk version before

on this site i can't find a NE5 version. i flashed the ND6, device didn't boot.
so i tried to flash cwm, worked fine. then i was able to install and boot the latest cm11, but the baseband, min, prl-version, meid, imei and iccid are shown as unknown. so i tried to restore the efs backup i made via terminal emulator, it looks like it worked but when i reboot nothing changed.
any other ideas?

This device have secure bootloader, so might be the reason u cant flash updated firmware, only OTA update. IMO need to unlock bootloader first if wanna success flash through odin.
Until now, the way to unlock this device bootloader is unavailable.

To upgrade the device is not necesarry to download the firmware of the respective region, u can flash any version of firmware for another regions, the only need to know is the respective version of firmware is for your device only that, i have flashed many firmware in my prime without issues ever from other regions ( most actual than my original region ) and y device is working ike a charm
Have you rooted the phone?
Can u elaborate what means.of.respective version please? u said that u flash many firmware for ur prime, which.one firmware have u been flashed successfully @tutibreaker

Hey, same problem here. I can't flash any firmware. Odin just errors: Failed [Auth].
And since I've rooted my Grand Prime, I'm not able to update it via OTA
What am I supposed to do?!
Recently I've faced some lags on my phone that I don't know why, but I think I need to update my firmware.

What firmware did you flash? If its XTC then you should try other region firmware like Malaysia or Indonesia. XTC firmware is corrupted.

You have to flash exact soft for your region and phone. Grand Prime have many versions so you must select right one. In East Europe there is no secure bootloader or maybe I haven't encountered it yet. If you have secured bootloader so probably it's gonna be same like Sony or HTC. You'll have to unlock it. I can't say where

Just open your odin then firstly do not connect your device before . Add the files to AP first and then you can connect your device into odin or that firmware you've download did not match .

The order did not do any difference. Why should it do?!
Before a chance the rom, I rooted my cellphone by this way
[ androidxda. com/root-samsung-galaxy-grand-prime-sm-g530h ]
It worked!
As someone said here, I should need to unlock the bootloader, I looked for I solution and I find this one
[ techtudo. com.br/dicas-e-tutoriais/noticia/2014/07/como-destravar-o-bootloader-de-um-dispositivo-android.html ]
this site is in portuguese-Br
it did not work
so, I installed samsung kies, and odin 3.04. And also didn't worked.
Now, I installed CMW recovery
[ mediafire .com/download/w0gzfrq7xtvztdr/Galaxy+Grand+Prime+CWM+Recovery.zip ]
still the same
finally, I downloaded odin 3.10.6, and instal a rom from india. As I find here [ droidviews .com/install-android-5-0-2-lollipop-firmware-on-galaxy-grand-prime-sm-g530h/ ]
Before I was trying Russia's rom.
After all, I noticed, and I read here, that depends on firmware which I was intalling
