battery mod for stock HTC Desire ROM? - Desire Themes and Apps

Is there a battery mod available for the stock HTC Desire ROM?

No but there is a app somewhere on here which puts a circular battery with percentages on the left side of the notification bar.

stock roms are deodexed meaning you cant edit the framework

However, you can do it with teppic's/nickiberli's ROMs which are very close to fully stock.

this will flash hboot and radio as well. It's currently unrootable, but if you have a visionary brick it will revive it.
If you are looking for /system only (retains S-OFF) go there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074852
Hi all,
I wonder if this can also be loaded "as is" on an european Desire Z...
I'm looking for a simple rom to improve battery life, the stock HTC Sense rom is so hungry...
many thanks
b.
My replacement came with stock 2.3.3 for the G2...It stinks, there are other much better roms out there.

Funny, I rather like the rooted stock GB roms rmk40 and Xboarder56 put out. No problems upgrading for me, as long as I used the "superwipe" on Xboarder's OP.
If you're having battery life issues, a different rom may not help if the problem is bad cell reception or a hardware issue. If it's a background task gone loopy (K9 Mail's background service does that in marginal data coverage areas), then it might help to swap roms. Nandroid is your best friend. Backup early & often.

Is it possible to install that ROM on my Desire Z that I bought in Europe? I'd like to change it.
Thanks,

new lockscreen in sense 3.0

Hello,
is it possible to install the lockscreen from sense 3.0 with the weather and the shortcut apps on aonther rom? like for example the new gingerbread rom (rooted one)
Thnx
There are a few roms available that are based on sense 2.1 but have sense 3 apps and widgets. Including the lockscreen.
I would imagine that there will be similar roms available that are based on the gingerbread DZ release but with sense 3.0 goodies coming out in the next few weeks. Just give it time.
But it is not possible to just install the lockscreen. Not very easily anyway. I'd imagine it has something to do with frameworks

Yea the fact that you would be pulling the sense lockscreen and trying to apply it to an AOSP base would probably mess things up.

You can install it on the sense 2.1 based roms, like the new desire z release.
Apply the lockscreen and 2 required weather patches from Seo's thread, and then the rotating rosie + menu fix from Siulmagics insertcoin thread.
All works for me.

Virtuous sense 2.0 has the extra power menu options. If you want the stock android lockscreen you can delete HTCLockscreen.apk from /system/app. I don't know how you could get the lockscreen from cm7 without using widget locker.
If you want the the extended settings in your notification bar I have created a few flashable.zip to add them. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16495562
Do Androids dream of electric sheep?
ty for your reply..
I made a mistake while typing my post...
Virtuous Sense 2.. hmm for me it didnt have the extra power options in the statusbar.. perhaps I should redownload..
so Im gonna retry that but the Sensation Lockscreen >> on my desire I have a desire Z Sense 2.1 rom with only the lockscreen.apk replaced.. could I use my desire's apk for that? I was actually looking for a full package, or a flashable zip
[edit] ps those extra flashable zips you created.. they are incredible![/edit]
[edit2]ROM: Virtuous 2.0 with the Sense 3.0 lockscreen and in ur sig TYTYTYTYTYTYTYTY
flashing v2+extra power settings+lockscreen.. that is exactly what I wanted
One final question.. which will actually be usefull... I was wondering if its possible to use the Virtuous OC tool thats in the pyramid ROM in virtuous 2.0?
[/edit]
Try my LeeDrOiD ROM, it has extended power menu, and has an addon for sense 3 features (lockscreen etc)!!!!!!!!
Sent from my Desire Z
id go with cm7 but thats just me
If you want the all the funtions for daily then I recommend a sense rom. If you down with tweaking a rom then go with cm7 or miui
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
Ignore!
haha I recognise this behaviour from the desire forums
I am trying leedroid now aswell.. tyvm for all ur fine advice, I feel much more educated now!

No. ALL HTC apps/widgets depend on the Sense framework, which other roms, such as AOSP (CM7), and MIUI.

Is there a center clock mod for the Desire?

I've got a Desire running stock MIUI gingerbread, and I'd like to center the clock in the notification bar. I know there are a lot of such mods around, but they're for different phones or different ROMs. I don't want to brick mine installing the wrong mod, so anyone know if there is a center clock mod that will work on the Desire with a stock MIUI GB ROM?

I am running custom ROM Paranoid for Desire (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1912187) or see the Desire ROM Index. this has an option in the settings to centre the clock...
