[Q] How to install a Patch on Froyo - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi all,
I looked the whole forum but could not find how install a patch ( eg. G-Sensor patch) on HD2 Froyo . Any suggestion how to do that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Did it not tell you what to do with it from the site you got it?
If not then there's no way anyone can tell you what to do with a "patch" that you got from somewhere, as there's no way of knowing what it actually is!

I got the patch from the following post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9194473&postcount=140
I searched the whole thread but still could not find the sollution...

This isn't a patch, it's a normal kernel with the patch integrated.

[Q] I need some basic help over here! :( - Admin could you move this?

I tagged this thread as "Q", cos ive been sniffing through XDA-forums and I have got a lot of questions. I hope someone can help me.
First of all, Im new to Android, in the Developing side, and also the Flashing side. I would like to learn more about it, but flashing now is my priority.
So related to flash:
I have got a Samsung Galaxy 3, and I cant understand the ROM naming pattern. For example:

What do this mean, most important, how do I may know if its compatible, whith my phone, im from Spain, so I guess I need a Spanished-language ROM.
What about Custom ROMS?
I saw this one: [ROM] Kyrillos' ROM v4.1 Ultimate Edition, a very cool ROM, but I dont even know if the OS will be on Spanish.
I read something about Country codes or something like that, but I couldn't find the "sintax".
Another important question about flashing, how can I avoid a brick? Maybe some kind of Bootloader with nand copy? Maybe I'm ****ed if I fail? :/
Another one:
Do I also need a extra firmware?, maybe a combination of both?, I'm used to flash PSPs and so, I remember that I should had the official firmware...
Final notes:
As u guys can se nowadays I'm a total noob when flashing and so, thats why I would appreciate a lot any sort of help.
Maybe my question were answered before, but I couldn't find em, even with the search bar, if so, please show me some link about it
I hope I'd opened this thread at the correct sub-forum...
I love the forum desing, its seems a serious forum, well organized and clean, I hope could stay in here for a long time
Thx a lot for reading.
P.D: Sorry for my poor English and so, I'll accept any corrections ^^'
-> Okay I placed it wrong.... -_-" the idea was to place it here: Android Software and Hacking General, or maybe here: Galaxy 3 General admin!!! help T_T
I don't wanna repost, please Admin move it T_T
----------------------------------------------------------
Edit:
I've flashed succesfully my Galaxy 3, into Froyo, thx to slumpolo, and some other memebers of this forum ^^
From now on I'll be on forum, for developent matters, thx 4 all ^^

x10i in-call volume

hi guys, i knows there posts regarding this but they dont seem to be goin anywhere, i replaced my speaker today on x10i thinking it would fix the issue but now its worse than before , and i aint stripping it down to put the old one back in, so now i know its deffo software related..
also im looking for information on .csv files
theres a file called audiopara.csv which i read can be edited to give louder volume, does anyone know how to do this???
also would it help if i upgraded to 2.2 or 2.3 just now?? can anyone recommend a good rom for it???
or will i have to just wait.....
thanks in advance guys
.
hello mate, the in-call volume is fixed with the custom kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112745
if you wanna change the stock rom i sugest the erick´s 2.1 rom if you care about the camera.
if you don´t, wolfbreak´s 2.2 and trip´s rom are very good, and you can also try android 2.3 with j´s rom
i hope this helps.
Hey guys did anybody found a solution for in-call volume on our new 2.3.3 GB ? I saw the custom kernel thread but that doesn't work on stock GB.Could someone came with a solution for this ?

[Q] [problem] GingerReal ROM + Arabic RTL fix

i believe my question is out of place here but i'm not able to post in any development related forums since i'm new here..
my problem is that gingerreal 6.4 rom doesn't have a rtl fix and the developers claim that their 5.1 rtl patch works on the 6.X versions too, so i backed up my rom and tried it but it just got my SGS into a rebooting loop and i had to reflash the rom since the back up idn't work for some wierd reason..kinda sucks
is it just my problem? is there anyway to solve it? or if not, could you make a patch that does work on 6.4?
thx in advance =]
??
if u can't answer can you please move the thread to the right forum?

[Q] Market patch

Hello,
I'm using on my HTC Tattoo new release nFinityGB-1.13. I want to ask you a question about it. For this version is it still necessary to patch market? What is the differences between patched and normal one for this version. Besides explanations about patching is very complex in the link you gave. Is it possible to explain it clearly in the post for nFinityGB-1.13 on HTC Tattoo.
Thank you very much..
