Battery critical notification - Omnia 7 General

guys,
i have notices that the phone is not showing me any Battery critical notification !! i have fully charged the phone and waited until the phone say goodbye without any Battery critical notification.
any help ??

You have a battery indicator on the top (when you press on the clock it will show up). Then, when battery is critically low, the phone reminds you to charge the battery with a sound and a message on the screen.
In addition, the battery indicator on the top is now permanently visible.

This is strange, the phone does tell you when the battery is running low, that's for sure.
So either you have a faulty device/battery, or the software is broken (maybe try a hardreset) or the power button has been pressed by accident (and the battery is still full).

hmmmmm.... I think I didnt see a notice either...
Is it possible that the message pops up silently and then goes away after few seconds? So if you have the phone in your pocket, you wont know about the battery?
Or maybe it is manufacturer related? What phones do you guys have? Mine's omnia.

I have Samsung i7800 Omnia 7

I also have an Omnia 7.
The message comes with an acoustic notification too, but surely you could miss it, it's just a short sound.
BUT when the battery is running low there is the battery icon in the upper bar. This icon is permanently visible when the battery's low so you should see it everytime you look at the screen.

Guys conformed,
i can now see the battery visible when it low and i got the message alerting me of low battery.
What i did is i have switch the mobile off, take the battery out, then i have put is again and tune the mobile on. I have waited until the battery run out and i got the messages and battery visible.
thanks for you support

What is a good battery charge monitor?

On the XDA2i, I've been having the small problem of running out of battey since i use it for phone calls.
But, unlike normal mobile phones, the XDA2i doesn't give audio warnings when low on battery, so i find that i end up with a dead phone when i need to make a call.
Is there any settings to enable audio warnings on low battery, or any good utilities which will allow this?
Thanks.
Have you tried Spb Pocket Plus?
It shows a battery meter on screen all the time.
You are also supposed to be able to change the settings in your phone at Alerts to warn you of low battery.
To answer the subject of this post: KBattery is a good, free battery charge monitor, I use it all the time. It sits in the menu bar at the top, where the clock is. Though if you have O2 Active installed, it has a battery monitor on the Today screen. But you've removed that already, haven't you?
As for audible alerts, I don't know how you would configure those. I tend to get a warning (text bubble tooltip style dialog and a two tone noise) from the phone when I reach 20% battery, and a bit later (I'm not sure what percentage of battery left triggers it) I am also warned when the battery is really low, I believe it's around 5%, and it cuts power to the SD card.
I've noticed that various functions shut down when battery runs low, but i dont seem to get any audio alerts. Now and then, the XDA can sit in my pocket for a few days so i might not open it up just to check on the battery level. Therefore, the battery gets drained and i would need to restore a backup.
If anyone knows how to access the setting to turn the audio warning on and off, please can you let me know.
Thanks
Here is a niceone indicator.

Should do the job.

TyTN - Too many low battery notifications.

When the battery of my TyTN gets at 20%, I start getting system notifications warning me about a low level battery and others telling me to charge the battery like the manual says so.
The issue is that at 20% the TyTN still has a lot of life time, and meanwhile until the battery gets completely drained, I get MANY of these notifications that keep disturbing, it really isn't handy.
Does anyone know any solution for this? Maybe some way to start this notification only at 10% and maybe making them fewer.
It's only needed one or two notifications to remember us we are getting low on battery power, no need to keep reminding it all the time...
Thank you.
It's anoying me aswell...
I hope they fix this in the new ROM.
On the same general topic, anyone else find the battery status to be inaccurate?
I've re-enabled the small, four-bar battery indicator at the bottom of the home screen with a hack from MoDaCo.
Thing is, it's full most of the time - then wack! it goes to one-bar red and I start getting notifications. It doesn't seem very dependable. Anyone else get this?

same problem with me. looks like there is some serious bug with low level battery notification. in my case, i have Magic Button installed and i'm using its feature, which shows thin battery bar at top 2 pixels of screen (something like Batti). each time when i wake up my Vario II, this indicator always shows 100% battery for 2-3 seconds, after which it refreshes back to current state.
so this thing brings the idea, that these multiple notifications are caused because device 'thinks' that battery is full after each wake up, but after few seconds it turns out that it isn't, so system is generating notification - again and again after each wake up.
I've been having similar issues except in my case the battery is actually full.
The device powers up after being in 'sleep' mode (or sometimes during normal usage) and generates low battery notifications, even though the battery has been on charge all night and is actually full or at nearly full charge.
A soft re-set doesn't seem to help but physically switching the device off and on again seems to fix the problem (the battery showing 100% afterwards) but theres a definate bug with the power monitoring software
I really want to know how to modify registry of Hermes to avoid low battery notification too
Just a thought, on other devices such as the universal and breeze etc... (i see ive mentioned smartphones aswell as ppc) ... is the battery indicator shown in 10% blocks like the hermes or are they in steps of 1%?????
Anyone know of a reg hack or possibility that this will be changeable to 1% steps???????? (ROM change or the like?)
Ah yes, pretty irritating, guess we'll have to wait for the rom updates?

There is still no way to change the battery monitor to 1% steps.
From what I've checked, there is still no fix for this massive flood of low battery notifications. If anyone have any other idea... please share it.
My WM6 ROM show low battery warning at 40% - really annoying. I really just want to get of these notifications altogether!!
One possible cause of the battery showing that it is full only to have it drop 50-80% after a few minutes is that you are using a trickle-charger such as the USB cable to charge it.
When charging with one of these devices, when the battery says it's fully charged it usually isn't. You will want to take it off of the charger for a minute or two after it says it is full and then put the charger back on if you want to get a consistent full charge with a trickle charger.
Any news about the annoying low battery notifications?
I hate it and I would like to kill it forever...
Thanks
SaRo
In s-k software's sktools there an option to allow it to show the low battery notification in the sounds and notifications. I find this very useful as i disable the message on the screen which gets in the way when it pops up to tell you battery is low. You can even change the sound or just disable the notification completely! Theres got to be a reg setting for it so people can use this little hack without buying the program.

Battery Full == Screen Burn In

As I go to sleep I put my phone on the charger. When the charge reaches 100% the screen turns on, and stays on the lock screen due to the notification.
The lock screen stays on for hours and burns the white dots into my screen.
How can I get the screen to automatically turn off after battery full notification?
Running stock JI6.
Switch to a different rom like Bionix that doesnt have that annoying popup
JI6 changed the popup to a notification bar symbol, like getting an email.
I've never had this problem. Charging the phone overnight I notice it lights up when the battery is fully charged but it turns itself off after a moment like always.

even if it has the pop-up before the update, tje screen should be off after few second (supposed)
however, i had the same problem that the screen does not turn off before, still have no idea how it happen and how to fix

Battery Level Indicator won't change when it's charging

CM9 on Semaphore kernel.
Every thing on my phone is working fine. Except my battery level indicator on the status bar stays the same. It just won't rise when my phone is charging.
When I check my battery information it says it's charging and also tells the battery level(currently at 42 as I am charging).
Earlier when I used to put my phone on charge the battery level kept doing the piston movement. It's not doing it any more. And also the level won't change.
It says it's charging but the level indicator doesn't rise or fall.
What might be the problem?
---------------------
Update:
The phone does get charged. And the battery indicator does show at whatever level it is.
But...
The issue here is when I put the phone on charge, the indicator doesn't do the oscillating(piston kinda) movement it does. You know when it does that piston movement when you plug your cell in. That thing isn't working at all. What might be the problem? I rebooted and still the same.
So many views and no replies?
Settings - battery indicator?
Cluttered theme?
Won't hurt to click thanks... (promise)
It is disabled in some roms. You have to enable it in settings.

Notification: Your phone is empty...

QFJEUXM 11.0.4.0
I get a notification when battery comes down to 10%. However, it can still run an hour or two
But then, when the battery really empties down, phone immediately turns of without any warning
This is totally inconvenient, on Huawei I was accustomed to get a another notification like "Your phone is empty, it will turn off in 30 seconds" which is enough to click Send or to find a charger or something
Looking around the Settings in MIUI, I cannot find any option to enable such notification
you don't see % of battery? that's sad that you can't plug in on time.
you can download app and set warning levels - search for low battery alert in store

Not looking all the time to the small top-rigjt battery percentage status
But ok, will search for apos on Store.
Sad that MUII is dtill missing a number of built-in usability features
