I was just wondering because I have a lot of apps and would really not like to go over the allotted space that most lag fixes restrict you to.

Thanks a bunch. As soon as I get home I'll try it out.
Voodoo and z4mod. Also Universal Lagfix had a few options that didn't require some of your application space but it was taken down.

I've been using a zip method. It moves the davlik cache to the external sd card. You need to have 2 partitions on it though. I get a quadrant score of around 1100 but the phone flies. I can't post a link to the downloads but search for dc2sd. It doesn't change any space

FWIW, z4Mod is currently experiencing issues actually converting to EXT2 from RFS on many 2.2 roms in use on the Vibrant. No experience with it with 2.1 roms.

Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I tend to find this lagfix not nearly as effective as Voodoo or another fix that actually reformats the system space. My understanding is that RyanZA's lagfix creates a virtual drive on top of RFS, so it looks blazing fast on Quadrant, but in real use you still see lag. Also, it halves the available app space, which I dislike.
Where can I get voodoo for bionix 1.9 FINAL? I didn't flash 1.9 team whiskey with voodoo..
VibranT Bionix
I just rooted an installed Bionix Fusion 1.1 on my friends Vibrant last night, and while trying to apply Voodoo it seemed to be doing it, but doesn't appear to be installed.
When doing the update.zip method, it showed a screen saying something about "Voodoo Lag Fix..... Some weird characters on screen are normal......" then it flashes big blue lettering REBOOT and it restarts. Is that sucessful? How can I check if Voodoo actually applied? I see no difference and the quadrant score actually lowered a tiny bit. Do you HAVE to have setCPU for voodoo to do anything?
I rocked somewhere in the 1900 range with just applying z4mod (stock JI6) - stellar compared to stock.

To check if you have voodoo installed:
Download Terminal emulator from the market.
Open it and type "mount"
Look for /dev/block/
If it ends in a 4 then you have voodoo. If it ends in 2, you do not.

Although I'm lazy and hate typing stuff, so I just run Quadrant. If the score is ~1900, Voodoo is on; if it's ~950, it's off.

In the Dev forum, go to KingKlick's or JAC's kernel threads. I think they both have Voodoo versions of their kernels. I'm using JAC's w/ colorfix and Voodoo. You can just flash it over your current installation.

In terms of actual use, I think Voodoo is way better. I still saw some lag with Ryan's, but Voodoo is super smooth. Ryan's is a bit of fakery that hugely boosts Quadrant scores but does not do that much for you in real use.

Beta 4 is supposed to work on the early Vibrants with smaller NAND, but people have reported it working on some larger ones as well. You can find instructions in the forums to see which you have.
I think ill stick with ryans for now. My phone is really smooth now. Voodoo may be superior but its bit more complicated to work around. Im not comfortable enough yet to try it.

Has anyone run the voodoo-ed superclean (either 2.2 or 2.3) in comparison to the it's counterpart non-voodoo-ed. I'm wondering if there's any noticeable difference. Or in other words if lagfix is worth it? I jumped from dl30 to 2.2 voodoo, and I was blown away, but I can't get my phone to act right, and I'm wondering if I should just wipe clean and start fresh with 2.3 non-voodoo-ed. Thanks for any comparison results you guys can provide.
Personally, I haven't had great lick going back and forth between voodoo and nonvoodoo. There are plenty of instructions on here that state how to do it properly, however. And you always have Odin (that is if your USB port is working...) to restore to stock if necessary.
I tried both, and personally I saw a huge improvement in speed and overall responsiveness with the voodoo version.
If you really want to be blown away, try jt's aosp v 0.7 -voodoo version. Its what I'm using now, and it will take alot to get me to switch.

Unless you need camcorder or mms, for the most part it's complete. I think the benefits of how fast it is and how good it looks outweigh the few things that don't work.

I could be mistaken but I'm fairly certain that Jt's .7 is running on eb01 or something like it. He has a custom kernel for the rom so I don't know how it works out, but I'm under the impression that it is eb01 at the moment, and you can use the eb01 baseband regardless
Edit: To the above, bluetooth is not working either, and thats a big feature for some

Android 2.1 can only handle 299 MB of RAM.
Did you use an Task Killer before you started the benchmark ?
I haven't seen much more than 800 without 2.2+
in running 2.1 rooted, jit enabled, xrec busy box and superuser, systcl configured, all useless apps (including timescape) removed, and most of my apps running from my SD card using link2sd, my phone is just about as smooth and responsive as an iphone as far as i can see, it works amazing .. but my quadrant score is only average 700-800 and my linpak sits around 31 - 34
not sure if im doing anything wrong
all i know it my friend has a galaxy S with their new froyo and myn still feels as quick and smooth as his

anybody having problems with the wifi?
guys first i got only 500 without rooting and enabling jit
then i flashed my device to 2.2.1 froyo with cyanogen mod with extra memory heap
now i get around 1186 which is more than droid x or galaxy
i am trying some more tweaks once i got around 1250 but it was highly unstable
so i got back to my older settings
so 1100+ is possible if you have JIT+2.2+Extra Vmemory heap
yes see it is possible but format your data, cache and extra and even your SD to get full performance
I got 1500+ Quadrant score with CyanogenMod 6.1.1 (& 6.1.3 too) without APP2SD

U have to use clean 2.1 rom, root it, use app2sd, after that clean junk apks. change buildpro - dakvil = 26mb. use Launcher pro instead of orginal once. use battery doctor to kill task managers ( shuold put alot of sys apk on inogre list). I suppose everyone heard about fstrim utility from unix OS-es being incorporated in Android 4.3. Appearantly, it optimises how operating system is using flash memory and that reduces lagg that is being accumulated over time of usage.
My question is, has anyone tried LagFix app from Play Store? Does it help for our device?
