I have my xperia x8 about 15days and everything went well till today. I've tried to connect the phone to my home wireless and it's unable to find, appears others from neighbors but mine doesn't.. someone knows what the problem could be?

I know it sounds daft but tried restarting your router, dose not sound like a fault with ur phone? If that dose not work try going to wireless settings and long tap on your router and select forget network then try re connecting?

no, it's don't help. just try change the wireless channel in range of 1 to 10. in russia it's helps very nice.

HI ALL
Got my JAMin now a week nd have ever since being tryng to connect to my wireless network. Basically my device detects a network but when i attempt to connect it says connecting then the network on the device says unavailable. I have tried 5 different routers/access points (secure and unsecure) but the same thing happens.
It connects for like 3 seconds sometimes assigns IP signal goes up around 3/4 way then poof gone.
I have UPGRADED ROM to latest.
I have disabled all security options on my router.
I have also enabled MAC address filtering and assigned my device address to MAC filter and disabled WEP.
I have disabled FIrewall on my router.
I have changed to B & G mixed mode.
I have done everything logical to assist in connecting to my wirelss network.
I have also been communicating with the Imate representitves via online chat support but they not much of help saying that the problem lies with my router and/or settings. But 5 different access points/routers cannot be faulty.
I really love the phone apart from the fact that i cannot connect to my wireless network/s.
I would appreciate help on sorting this out..dont really want to send the phone back unless it is a faulty unit.

if u go to the /Settings/Connections/Wireless Lan/Power Mode
Select the Best Performance, instead of in the middle, it got me
connected to the Wireless Network in the office.
Maybe this helps, but at the expense of the battery.

Same with my orange spv m600 (original rom) he just don't work with my router!
I tried to change any existing option!
I think that the DHCP don’t work good the m600 don’t get IP from the router
But I can connect to other networks most of them (G)

Mate you can atleast connect to other networks i cannot AT ALL.
Dont know what to do, will now try and get my device replace...keeping my fingers crossed.

I had the same problem... it is hardware disfunction, get your device replaced by your provider, this is the only solution you have.
I get mine replaced and now it work perfectly (I had done everything you've done too)

I've had exactly the same problem. My S200 connects and then disconnects within 5 seconds.
The solution is to go to "Settings" - "Connections"
select "Wireless LAN", select "menu", "network adapters"
and select "SDIO WLAN Wireless Adapter."
My problem was solved.

Looks like I have no problems the fist time I connect (after a reboot)
It's the next times I try it keeps dropping the connection.
I'll take it back to the shop as well.

Have you already tried -as already posted- /Settings/Connections/Wireless Lan/Power Mode and select the Best Performance setting instead of the central, middle position? This solved all my problems with S200 and WiFi intermittent connection, where with default setting it connects and lose connection every 5 seconds...
Guys, am facing a very weird issue.
i have changed my wirless router from G to a new linksys N router, now my mobile fails to connect to the wirless, though the device sees the connection, once you hit connect-next - next the connection becomes unavailable.
i have searched here and there, and found out that there MIGHT be a cab or a registery fix, anyone can help???

Have you checked the router settings and make sure that it is set up for A/G/N? I have a Linksys N gigabit router and there is an option for N only and other variants. See if that works.

the option should be on as i am connected on my Notebook and its a G, same goes for my brother's iPhone, its connected.

You have got imate jasjam. I had same problem once with WM5 about an year and half ago. The solution was to do a hard reset to it. Please do back up your stuff before doing so.

Been having the same problem and its P*£$ING me RIGHT OFF too!!!
I got a Buffalo WZR2-G300N Router and it dont wanna connect to it no-matter wat!!!
Do you have set:
An encryption key (WEP or WPA)?
MAC address filtering?
Also, is the router set to allow N/G/B/A (or whatever it supports)? Tried setting it to operate in G only mode?
Checked for firmware updates to the router and made sure you are using the latest?

I got my phone just couple days ago, and I'm really satisfied with every thing , Bluetooth, GPS, Speed, etc...
but I got very interesting problem with the WiFi..
It detects networks, but can't connect to them.. also I can't connect to my home Wirless network,
When I try to connect to any WiFi network, it tries to connect and then it marks the connection with red "x" with comment that the network is unavailable
when I tried to make an adhoc connection with my Laptop, it says that it is connected, and could ping my phone..
tried later to connect to my WiFi network after I disabled all kinds of protections and encryptions and after I enabled the protections again... no good
please help, because WiFi is extremely important feature that I need...

I didn't flash the device, nor touched the ROM...

You havent said much as to exactly whats happening vs what you've tried. Have you tried connecting to your home network with encryption off?If it connects with security switched off, then try connecting with wep on,then switch to wpa.
Well.. I did every thing you said and nothing happened... even after a hard reset...
also what I've noticed is I can't ping my phone on each connection... =(
sometimes it connects and can be pinged....and sometimes not which drove me crazy already =(

Hi guys... Actually i faced this problem several days ago. I think this is a bug but im not sure since im not expert in this. My i780 can connect to some networks and can't for some. Here is a trick:
In the network device tab, edit the setting of your Samsung wifi card
Change to Use specific IP address:
IP 192.168.0.1
and that's all for now, leave other settings default
Now you can connect to the network but cannot use it. And somehow when you disconnect the connection, the Wifi in your Wireless Connection might disappear. Try to reset the phone and the Wifi is back.
Change the settings back to Use server-assigned IP and you can use the Wifi now. It really works. And now my i780 can connect to any network, lucky me

MMS Settings for Samsung i600

Is there anyone who can possibly help me with MTN mms settings for a Samsung i600, I have tried *123*12# and it doesnt work.... I am tearing my hair out!!!!

Ok when I try and connect my phone to my wifi at home, nothing happenes at all.
I tap my wifi network, and it just highlights it, and doesn't do a thing!
But when I tap any other wifi network, it asks for the network key.
When I've tried to do it through the winmo settings, It allowes my to put the correct info in, but when I press conect nothing happenes again.
I know for a fact Im putting everything in corectly, I've even reset all the info on the router just in case. And still nothing.
Wtf is going on guys?
try deleteing all Wifi Network settings and networks.. and then search for the network.. add them with the key ( If Required)

Is your router set up for mac address filtering? If so you need to register the mac address from your phone on the router.

i had simialr probs...
deleted all knwon wifi links,
reset router
allowed router to set itself up using wizard
then allowed HD2 to find my network
then entered my network key and phone worked first time..
not sure if its a router problem...could be you need to set router to auto mac addresses

Trust me, its a fault in the HTC standard ROM...
If you download artemis rom, it will work... I had the same problem..
I've had a similar problem, here is what I did.
Go to wifi > advanced > adapters(on index tab) > network adapters > make sure each and every one is set to obtain automatically, this worked for me.
I hope you understood what I've written and that it'll work.

Not really, is this on the phone, because i got lost at adapters, it isnt there.
Nope non of the above worked.
Im on the axlor rom, you it wont be a problem with being on a htc rom.
Weird thing is it was working fine untill i had to send the phone off for repair.
I guess ill try a reflash and see if that helps.

I had this problem after i changed my wireless security settings. Heres what worked for me. Go to the list of wifi networks. press the one you want then hit advanced at the bottom rights corner, it should bring you to a screen that looks like screenshot3. Click change network and you will be at the screen in screenshot4. Right click on the network you want and press remove settings. Go back to the wifi list and try to connect. Also note that i have mac filtering off in my router, this may cause other problems if you have it enabled.

It got me to the point where I could enter my pass word, but It wouldnt connect! But thats one better than last time.

Also, I do have mac filtering on. But before the phone went of for repairs it worked perfectly fine with mac filtering.

I think it must be a hardware failure. To ensure get a hardreset. If the problem continues, no doubt.

Did you try another wifi router? If yes, it migth be h/w issue. otherwise, should be setup issue.

To my surprise, now my phone has started detecting the wifi network. For some odd reason it was not detecting any of the wifi network.
I really don't know how it started working now but I will use your tips in case I face similar problem in future.

actually i had the same problem in the start... to fix this issue u had to open ur wifi router and go to its settings....
for my TP-link wifi router.. i go to wireless settings.. in this there is an option of CHANNEL... it was automatic.. i changed it to 8 and it started working...
