How can i port Sense UI to HD2 running Android Nexus 1?
A desire is a nexus 1 with sense... And sense is really built into all the frameworks of android. So if its not a sense build its not going to be..
swyped from my HD2 Android
Thanks for the time and clearification.

Hey!
I were just wondering if it was possible to port the newly released Sense 2.2 for the Desire on to the Hero?
I'am not that much into ROM's ect., but would be nice if it would be possible, caus I really like the Sense UI and wouldn't live without it!
Thanks in advance!
-Jonas
Not really, as desire has different processor, so binaries are not compatible at all, and totally different res screen.
Wait for legend or slide to get it.
Okay. Let's hope they'll get it soon then

Hi
I know there are various custom roms and RCMix Rom for DHD which give you sense 3.0. but I was wondering if I am able to flash a stock HTC Sensation ROM onto my DHD?
just like to keep the stop font and menus. Apologies if this has been raised before, I have searched before posting this and failed miserably..
thanks and appreciate your help
cheers

It isn't possible.
If you for example compare the specs of Sensation and DHD, you will find out that the hardware in these two phones are quite different. That's why ROMs are usually ported to fit another device. There ain't a working Sensation ROM for the DHD yet.
of course not.
but you can try some ported sense 3.0 roms from
here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=765
Thats like asking if you can run Apple Mac OS on your PC. Out of the box its certainly not possible but 1337 hax0rs have been able to find a way.
I tried the Virtuous Unity port and it seems nice but nothing so amazing I'd **** my pants over it. Sense 2.1 with Sense 3.0 additions seems like a better proposition at this stage to me at least.
you can try using rcmix roms... they have sense 3.0 ported .. it works perfectly too (i am using one) no bugs and very stable ..here is the link

+1, I've been using the ARHD 5.1.x roms with the Sense 3.0 all-in-one package and it's a great way to experience Sense 3.0. I've also heard the RCMix roms are pretty nice as well. I have recently switched to the Virtuous Unity 1.26.0 rom and I'm lovin' it! (Sorry Mike1986) The Unity rom is about as good as it's going to get until and if HTC decides to put out a Sense 3.0 rom for the DHD/Inspire.

And read a lot! and then read some more.
I could be called a bit strange for wanting ICS with Sense but I like Sense.
I've just seen this in the Runnymede dev section. Is there a Dev that fancies porting it to our Desire Z? See how it runs?
Thanks!
Craig
(Ps, I used to "cook" WM 6.5.x for Touch Pro 2 but haven't a clue about Android)
I like Sense and really loved 3.5 with a quicklaunch widge

The htc one v (ics + sense4) is coming out, and has very similar specs to the DZ/G2, so i think everyone is waiting for a port of this, rather than port from runnymede, but then again, i could be wrong
Yeah a Runnymede port doesn't really help use because what we really need for a proper Vision version of ICS is drivers for the graphics and camera. So we need ICS for something like Desire HD, Desire S, One V or maybe even the non-HTC phones (e.g. Sony) that use the same chipset.

Apparently there is a leak of the Sensation ICS Sense 4.0 ROM floating around the interwebs. I'm trying to track it down and get it in the hands of the Virtuous Team so they can work their magic.

Yes!
Hope will be ported to our DZ/G2 !!
HTC says that Sense 4.0 is lighter than previous versions so I think devs could port Sense 4.0 to our phone

Yeah but untill now sense 4.0 only runs on the sensation and the evo3d and as far as i know there hardware is to diffrent from ours and also will need some resizing. Best we can have now is the sensation xl rom with sense 3.6. It has the same cpu as the dhd and an resolution of 480*800.

AFAIK (and as of 3 days ago) the ICS ROM for the Sensation has only been leaked, not officially released:

Its for the Sensation XL, which has similarity to the Desire HD. I assume its based on a leak..
to all HTC sense fans
Which HTC Sense do you like ?
Currently I find very good sense 3.5 (Rom Smartdroid 3.2) but as soon as there will be a sense 4.0 stable I want to change the rom and use that for everyday (I saw previw on HTC One and I think it is really nice)
I've used sense 2.0, 2.1, 3.0 and now 3.5 on RunnyDroid.
IMO, 3.5 tops it.
It's the little things like in the app drawer how the three icons at the bottom for all apps, frequent and downloaded are evenly spread across the screen; that wallpapers can be cropped in portrait mode; that you can remove home screen panels if you don't use them
Probs loads more stuff too.
My two pennies worth.

really like sense 3.6 ....... I don't like sense 4.0 because no weather animation when unlock screen and no 3d widget in sense 4.0 but sense 4 is lightning fast like my finger when playing guitar......
3.5 for me

Sense 4.0 is the best for me
3.0, 3.5, and 3.6 have all been stupid releases by HTC, from a design pov.
4.0 stays truthful to user interface.
as for 2.1 (the old fart), is better then the "3." series, but then again...
that 4.0!
3.5 Currently with RunnyDroid V5.0
Will make the jump to 4.0 staright away as soon as the port is fully working
