What the heck, is this a temporary un-root? I am on my rooted stock kermal/rom Epic that I used one-click root(PC) to root my phone. I wanted to unroot using z4root and I was unrooted until I turned my phone off. When I did I was rooted again. BTW, it took about a millisecond to unroot.

It's not really possible to brick most android devices unless you mess with the radios.

Hello, I am not rooted and know nothing about clockworkmod. (I have tried rooting numerous times but no success. I'm thinking drivers) I would like to know if its possible to flash it with my epic being stock? I have searched and have turned no results about flashing it from stock. Everything refers to rooted. Yes I downloaded samsung galaxy s drivers from here when I tried to root. Never for them to work even with 2 fresh installs. Thanks for the info on the z4root, by far the easiest and fastest way I've ever rooted before. But ya I have samsung drivers.

I am afraid I won't be any help there. I haven't flashed clockwork yet because I am not sure how easy it is to remove (noob) so I am waiting until Froyo releases. Unless I can't find an easy method to install it and uninstall it.

UnRooting is quite easy if you're on MDC. Just Google unroot Samsung galaxy s4.

You can skip the part where he talks about getting the update. This root worked for me. You can change recovery after you're done.
Warning: not sure if there is an unroot. You might be able to flash back to unroot but I am not sure. If anyone knows please say so.

If you are non rooted and on MDL you can just flash the ota zip. There's almost no chance of bricking.

If you are rooted with stock MDL why even bother with the OTA? This will give you the same results without having to re-root or change recovery. Just follow steps in post #2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357471
