You should be able to download the CWM Rom Manager from the market. Then select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and you should be good to go.

They finally fixed it!?

I guess I recall having a problem with it at first too. Turns out superuser was prompting for root rights but wasn't displaying on top of the CWM screen. I think I just tried it until one time SU came up properly, then the flash worked.

(Q) Phone says its rooted but its not...

Edit : just checked. My phone is running the newest updated but im gonna try to unroot and reroot one more time even though I already tried and it could not unroot.
So I went to install the new update via stock recovery and it seemed to work. I go check system settings and its still showing 2.3.2 and not the newest one. I go to try and root and it says everything works and my phone is rooted. Thing is there is no super user app that appeared on my last droid 2. What's the issue?

Try it again and use the 1 click root for 2.3.20 from here http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/droid-2-discussion/5321-2-3-20-1-click-root.html

Yeah, I saw it was rooted and just went to market and got Superuser app and installed, I have root. I don't know why it did not show the superuser app even thought it said the apk was transfered.
Mine did the same. After I rooted using the one click method, it said it was a sucess. Tried to use Root Explorer, and it said failed getting superuser permission. Checke my SD card, and there was no Superuser.apk there. I copied it to the SD card from the one click directory, and it was sucessful. When trying to use Titanium Backup, had trouble with Busybox. Titanium downloaded a new Busybox, and all is now well.

Sounds like clockwork is not properly installed. Did you flash clockwork via Odin?
I had the issue once when I forgot to flash CW via Odin first.
I'd post link but on cell at the moment.

Droid x recovery

Hey I'm going to root my brothers x later tonight using z4root and I was wondering if Rom manager would work on it I'm curious because I know the x and d2 has a fuse built in that will automatically brick it when trying to load a custom recovery so I'm just wondering if I should use Romm or get him to fork over 2$ for bootstrap recovery I do have experience rooting but just not newer droids
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
Get bootstrap, as ROM Manager doesn't work the same... nor have they added that feature last I checked. Since the recovery cannot be permanently written, the bootstrap method is required.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
He can still install roms via choose zip from SD card right and do u have to flash bootstrap everytike u use it
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
When you use bootstrap, it will reboot your phone into Clockwork Recovery and you will be able to choose the options that Clockwork has always had, the only difference is that you do have to run bootstrap every time you want to use Clockwork Recovery. Install zip from SD is an option in Clockwork. You CAN run the bootstrap program, click the button to bootstrap but NOT the reboot button, then open ROM Manager and proceed as usual, but I prefer just doing all the work in Clockwork. Never use rom manager anymore.

Sweet so the set up is still the same I'm using clockwork on my hero and I don't have to flash it every time lol and in your opinion what's the best Rom yall have and what is the most stable overclock setting
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
Overclocking is trial and error. My first Droid X only was stable up to 1.25Ghz, but replaced due to dead pixel. My new one is very stable at 1.45Ghz with ultra low voltage settings. For me, the best ROM out is Fission 2.1... I didn't like Moto Blur so I love the vanilla Android feel that I had on my Droid 1. It's mostly about personal tastes, honestly.

You have to have dx bootstrapper and rom mgr. I use rom mgr almost exclusively, as it is very, very easy. I advise getting it.

Rom Manager is completely optional. For some, it's simplicity makes it a must have, but I almost never use it anymore. It wasn't available when I first got my D1, so I'm more comfortable with the manual processes. I will also use a terminal emulator to root a phone, instead of the 1-click options. Just posting to clarify that RM is nice, but not necessary.

I need to root my DX that I just got yesterday, came 2.2 pre-installed. I've been accustomed to my rooted D1 for so long and I know that the DX root process is different so I need some help.
I would like to just do a "1 click root method" if possible, but I can use ADB/SDK if that is the best way to root the DX, I got some familiarity with ADB. Also, I'm confused on this bootstrap stuff, etc.
In a nutshell, I want to be able to root my DX, use Clockwork Recovery (for backups, flashing roms, etc.), use Rom Manger, be able to unistall system apps, etc.
Thanks guys

Yea dude I rooted my brothers dx this morning search the market for z4root its made for the droids on 2.2 it took it two tries but he got it oh yea its a free app good luck its one click

And for bootstrap u have to flash it every time u go into the recovery but its the same as clockworkmod but its nota perminate recovery screen that's how they bypass the fuse that will brick your dx

Ok, so because we have rooted, and are running as Superuser with Clockworkmod, each time we turn on or reboot it automatically comes up in the Recovery mod that we just reboot from so we don't brick our DX's? If that is correct then it explains a lot and it would also be something that I haven't seen written out. If it isn't correct can you explain why after rooting and installing Superuser and Bootstrap or Clockwork Recovery Mod when I turned on my D2G or rebooted it I ended up in the Recovery mode?
Thanks.
Here is my question. I have used the Rom Manager and currently running Rubix. I have tried to flash to another Rom to try to get the feel of them and Rubix keeps popping up. Do I need to delete it from my X to get the other ROM to load in?

I would always recommend an SBF in between roms. This removes any traces of the previous rom.

That's a bit overboard, isn't it? I've rooted and flashed a ton of phones, friends, family, Co workers. Only on some circumstances I had to sbf, but from my own doing.
Simple wipe data, cache within bootstrap clockwork recovery, does the trick. Follow the roms instructions. No need to sbf everytime.

Need help with "new" version of CWM for Fascinate

There's a new version of CWM in this link for the Froyo leak of Fascinate: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=937499
I got Froyo just fine, but I just noticed as I'm trying to install a Froyo theme for Fascinate. I'm having trouble getting the new CWM Recovery to "take". Now when I go through ROM Manager to Reboot Into Recovery, it takes me to the stock recovery, but going to "Update.zip" makes a loading bar load about 1/4 of the bar, then it reboots, shows Samsung logo, and is back at stock recovery. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, any help? Is there any .TAR of the new CWM, so I can maybe use Odin to force it on? Thanks.
Get rid of the theme. That's probably the problem. And this should be posted under general or in the thread of whatever ROM you're using.

If you can't get to clockwork use the odin file

Oh good, I love Odin and I was hoping for such a file. I'll try this when I get home, thanks!
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Posted this in another thread but this is how I did it.
Download the first file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=942021 and rename it recovery-update.zip put it in the clockworkmod folder on sd card, replacing the old recovery-update.zip.
Download the following file and place it at the root of your sd card, make sure its named update.zip.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17566514/update.zip use it to get into cwm.
Then boot to recovery, (apply update if you get blue writing, choose apply sdcard:update.zip). Once in green cwm choose to "install zip from sd card,"
navigate to your clockworkmod folder then choose the recovery-update.zip file.
Lastly go back to the main options and choose "apply sdcard:update.zip." you should be good to go now!
CWM should be red for now on, and should say voodoo lagfix.
Enjoy! I hope that clears things up!
I can't get past the blue I think when I get home I am odining everything back to normal

Taka, I don't have or want voodoo, does that make a difference?

This version says Voodoo but isn't, the programmer was to lazy to change that (or a voodoo update for froyo will be here soon). Also the bitmap error happens to everyone so don't worry about it.

Well you have Froyo, you must be using a ROM even if it is stock. Did you follow the directions closely when installing Froyo? And there are no custom kernels for DL30 so no worries about accidentally putting on voodoo.
Ahhhh!
I am having problems with CWM to the point where I can't install any roms nor can I reboot into CWM recovery. I just flashed DL09 and I am trying to flash froyo but I kinda need CWM to work in order to do that... I have an odin package for the version of CWM I supposedly need but it doesn't work, so should I go back to an older one?
Cant get to Green anymore
I updated to Froyo last week and everything is working fine except my battery life sucks...
Im going to upgrade to EB01 and try Super Clean
Ive installed the new CWM but I cant get to Green Recovery anymore.
Everytime I run update.zip, it simply brings up the Blue Recovery.
Try Taka's post on the first page. It worked for me, I'm now rocking the red CWM and running Incognito.

If you are trying to run a Froyo ROM, even without voodoo, then in this situation you will be using a RED CWM.
Specifically, the one that was posted earlier or can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=942021
Even though it is red, even though you don't want voodoo, this really is the correct cwm for Froyo at this time.

Rooted but no root explorer.

OK. I've been rooted for a while to make use of the tether. I'm on clockwork mod 2.5.1. I need to put apps back on to update to froyo but I can't get to the root explorer. I feel like a moron.

Have you downloaded the Root Explorer Application from the market already? Can you see the icon in your app drawer?
EDIT: Or are you just wanting to get into CWM to flash the apps back by installing a zip from your SD card?
No. I thought it was a part of the cwm. Any suggestions on which one I should get?

Root explorer is good for deleting the apps. To put them back, You need to either A) flash them back with CWM or B) use ODIN or the Samsung.exe program to take it back to stock. (unrooted)
I will go ahead and say now if you are trying to get the update from the carrier, you may indeed need to ODIN back to stock (unrooted).
But just so you have the info...
If you are already rooted with CWM (as you stated you are in the OP).. you need to simply access the CWM program by booting into recovery.
-Turn off your phone.
-Boot into recovery by holding <power><camera><volume down> all at the same time
-Choose apply zip from sd card
-choose the zip file that has all the apps you want back. (obviously you will need to have that zip file saved to your SD. I know its readily available in these here forums.)
Hope that helps. Cheers!
You could also push it to your phone using terminal emulator (on your phone) or adb (on your computer)
I downloaded Super Manager from market and worked like a charm.
