I'm trying to find out if there is a way to reduce the volume output of HTC Streaming Media Player. even on the minimum system volume it is often louder than I wish to listen to it.

On my 8525 with WM6 if I play an MP3 with media player and the volume is at 100% it is plenty loud. If I adjust the volume down to 5%, there is only a minuscule difference. I would expect it to become quieter. This happens with the internal speaker or my headphones.
If I use TCPMP I can adjust it's volume slider and it works correctly: from quiet to loud.
Is there a fix for WMP so that the volume works correctly? If I want to listen to music at work with WMP I have a choice of real loud or loud.
I dont mind the crack sounds, etc. Is there a way to increase the speaker volume (for music). TCMP media player does a great job with a feature to increase the volume, but dont see a similar method for all other sound or WMP (since I have DRM music from napster that doesnt play using TCMP)

I am running a stock 32Gb Nexus 10. When I play music or stream YouTube video, the volume is loud, yet when I play movie through MX player Pro, the volume is low. Any way to boost the volume?
Thanks.
when i listen song in poweramp, the volume is very low, when i use google play music, the volume is normal, can someone teach me how to fix it?
Try turning off DVC (direct volume control) in poweramp settings. Don't think it works on S7, poweramp also won't display embedded album art on my S7 either but that's a known issue on their forums
I have Huawei P9 Lite, the media sound is very low I can barely hear it either it is the sound of a Youtube video, music player, voice notes or any media sound. This happens although the media volume is set to maximum. Happened this since purchase the device. Around 2 month ago, the sound got lowed automatically and I could listen all type of sound easily but again the sound went slow. I don't know what is the actual issue.
