LCD Density and Status Bar - Droid X General

I like the smaller items when I adjust my LCD density, but my status bar icons get very fuzzy, and I have trouble reading some of them due to the quality degradation. Does anyone know of a workaround for this? The icon that's giving me trouble is the battery indicator on Fission with the % over the icon.

I know some apps can be adjusted using compatibility mode in the spare parts app. Don't know if it works for that.

Try setting it to 210. I find the icons look crisper. Maybe its just me though.
Also love LCD density change and can't go back to 240.

Beautiful widget sizing

I'm using beautiful widgets and I'm trying to get it to be the full width of my screen. It works fine until I use lcd density changer. I know that some things do not size properly with lcd density changer, just curious if anyone had any ideas. It makes my screen look horrible having it go about 3/4 across.

Some Launchers, such as LauncherPro and ADWLauncher can stretch widgets, but usually require purchase of the full version to get this feature.
I use ADWLauncher, the free version. It does this just fine. I have my lcd density at 165.

Lcddensity

Hi guys,
I'm trying out LCDDensity and it works well except the space on each screen for icons does not change? By this i mean, when the resolution was at 240, i could fit 5 icons across. Now that i've changed it to 180, there is extra space on the right hand side but i can't put any icons on there.
Is that correct or is there a way around it?
That is correct. The stock launched has designated a 5x5 icon space on the homescreen. Changing your density won't change that.

I have mine set to 220. Doesn't add much real estate on the screen but the picture does look more crisp.

I've set mine to 182, so the camera app still looks nice and downloaded AWD launcher. This way I can change the number of icons to 8x8 instead of the stock 5x5 icons.

Note 3 - Transparent notification bar has black shading after changing density

I recently changed LCD Density in build.prop from standard 480 to a lower value.
After doing this, the top edge of the screen is shaded / blurred black when i have a transparent notification bar.
Alarmed, i restored a cwm backup but the problem still exists.
Anyone have any ideas ?? I'm slightly worried i might have damaged the screen.
Thank you

Issue with 3minit battery/clock

So I'm trying to live with the fact that I can't remove the 3minit battery and clock from the ROM I'm using, but I have an issue that is driving me insane. The battery and clock are set to white, so when I go to a screen with a white background, like settings, the battery and clock disappear.
Is there any way to make them change to black like the rest of the system status bar icons? If not, I guess I will be going back to my old ROM...

Go into the 3-minit clock app and tap each one of the bubbles to open up the settings you can change the color of the clock parts there then click on the bubble at the bottom and select apply changes.
As for 3minit battery you can change the colors of the battery if you download one of the colorable battery themes

Yes, I understand that, but there is no way for the color to adapt to the background. So if the background is light, the color should be black. If the background is dark, then the color should change to white. With 3minit, it's either always black or always white (or whatever color I set it to). The system default is to adapt to the background. Why is that not an option?

What I always did with 3minit (before this V20 which I want battery in the second screen) I used it to hide battery, then use system settings for battery percentage in status bar. That way it should adapt.
Id look into the ModControl and ModInstaller apps being developed here for the V20.
It has the ability to add and remove a ton of ui mods. Depending on the rom it may change a good bit as it replaces the systemui with a modded on.
But it would allow you to turn 3mini clock mod off or on in your rom. Making it a revert to stock kinda option persay. It should be very universal on v20 stock roms.

Unfortunately, the mods are hard-coded into the ROM and are not configurable through ModControl, which would have made better sense. I like customization, but not at the expense of options. If I wanted that, I would have stayed with an iPhone. I think the best solution is to just go back to your ROM.
3minit clock
Hi,
Please did you manage to get the clock changes the color based on the background ? Thanks

Lock screen clock, not AOD clock change

Can we get a horizontal clock? I can only seem to adjust the AOD clock.
I applied a theme and it was horizontal for a while... a few hours later I look and its back to the vertical one. Anyone else notice this?
Hours and minutes are aligned vertically, if there are notifications.
It seem to be horizontal if you have any notifications. Once those are cleared, it goes back to vertical.
Here is a easy Solution

Takes less than 2 minutes costs nothing, does not revert back after notification or anything like that.
Horizontal clock is an option under AOD display settings. Look for clock style

Go to Settings...Lock screen and security...Information and FaceWidgets...Contact and Information. You can type in something here and it will show up underneath a horizontal clock. If you don't want anything to show up but still want the horizontal clock, just put in one space and no other text.
I've made a theme with horizontal clock on lock screen. This theme used stock icons and a colour is a little bit changed. Change wallpaper and change icons and thats all. But you can create this by yourself by samsung mobile theme editor wish i have later version. So in order to make horizontal clock in this editor you need to use not colour selection on tab lockscreen but images. And upload image of every digit 012345678: and thats all.

This is really the best proposal. I came here to get rid of this ugly clock on lock screen of my S8+. Thank you so much. No theme, nothing. :good:
Edit: does not work. The horizontal clock just showed up because there was a notification.
No dice on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus for AT&T
Had a horizontal clock working for months using themes, but since the samsung update about a week ago it broke, there really should be a simple was to do this anyway, we shouldn't be looking for work arounds
