[Q] Slight Rom Issue

I don't know if I am the only one this is happening to but Everytime I boot into android with a custom rom and then go back to winmo. The clock doesn't show the correct time anymore and it requires a hard reset to fix. But then If i go back itno android it resets and messes up in winmo. What should i do to fix this or what rom could i use that prevents this?
i haven't notice that lol. I just tried booting android froyostone for one night and after i wake up next morning the battery went down to 50% from 100%. So i gave up.
Please Post all questions about Android on the HD 2 In the android on HD 2 forum. As for Fixes to be honest people have been working on Android ports for many devices for a long time and non of them are 100% and I dont think we will ever see it here either just my 2 cents.

[Q] Stable SmartToolKit?

Does anyone know where I can get a STABLE version of start tool kit? I tried running RC09 but it's not at all stable. Here's a few things I've run into in the short time I ran it.
Total system lockup when trying to access "Tasks" on the deskbar, (several times)
Had to disable global skinning to stop lockups. Everything ran fine til I got a text msg then the vibrate function refused to turn off. Once again, had to do a soft reset to stop it. I've had to open the battery case more times in the last hour than I have since getting the phone.
I have a T-Mobile Dash 3G running WinMo 6.1 official.
I really liked this little app because it adds some nice functionality to the phone but I won't run it at the expense of doing damage to my phone. Thanks in advance!
I was just about to instal it... What Windows version you have?
I'm using official 6.1 on my Dash 3G. I tested RC08 and so far it's running really well.
The test skinning.exe I found doesn't work so well but I think it's coz I had it running from the memcard. I moved it to Program Files to see if it works better though.
Essrentially it works awesome til you try to turn it off, then it goes bat**** and crashes until a reboot.
I'll post my findings when I'm done.

RC08 is the best out there.

screen blacking out

Hi new to hd2 android. I have tried multiple roms and and droid builds ,but the problem I am having is after I format my sd card with the sd formatter that I was recommended I transfer the android build to it let it boot up. After that I reboot it and set everything up ,and 99% of the time I will set the phone down and when I go to pick it back up I hit the power/end button to turn on the screen and I get no screen I just get buttons lighting up. Is there anything that I am not doing or doing that is causing this. Please help. I am no stranger to electronics as I modify about everyone of them that I own ,but I can't crack this one. I've been working at it for over a week keep getting the same result. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance

It would help if you added your WinMo ROM/Radio and the Android build this is happening with?
Sorry I am running the elegancia gtx right now with the froyostone sense 3.1.7 and the 2.10.50 radio ,but it has done it with numorous builds
Me too
I have the same problem and i have tried several different builds and am running chuckyRom
I have tried the chucky rom and the ozdroid rom as well with almost every single android build that is half way decent. This sucks I would love this phone to be up and running good. Now I did have the combo of chucky rom with the same radio I have now with the hyperdroid 1.6 and it ran for a few days with no problems ,but the darn battery died quick. I haven't been able to get it to work properly since.
Hit the phone button it will wake up faster

The problem is its not turning the screen on at all. No matter what button I hit.

U have advanced task killer installed?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk
I'm having the same issue, and yep, Advanced Task Killer is installed and running.
same here
i am having all those same problems and i have tried it with and without ATK
I do not have task killer installed not any version of any of the task killers. If a android build has it in it I go in and uninstall it.
Try changing your sd card. I saw some cards (such as team branded) exhibit that behaviour.
Same problem here tried changing the SD card and same thing happens.
Might have found a fix for this for now. All I did is turn auto rotatescreen in android display settings hope it works for you guys.
I have just started using the newest Energy rom with tmobile usa radio and I was getting the black screen of death. After a bunch of messing around I set it to the compact start menu and turned off sense in windows mobile home options and now the problem went away. YMMV
In the middle of reading all the posts here yestarday I glanced at motoman234's sig and I decided to try his setup and so far twelve hours later still no black screen of death. I don't know if it was my winmo rom that was causing it for me or the radio I was using ,but so far so good. The touch screen seems a little laggy which I wish wasn't there ,but again happy to have a setup that is stable.

[Q] Unique Nexus One power up issue

Hi Moderators,
Please feel to delete or move this thread, if you find it repetitive. Apologies for starting a new thread.
Hi All,
I have a unique issue with my Nexus one. Sometimes it fails to reboot and then does not start even pressing power button multiple times. Sometimes it starts but then screen does not come up after the display time expires. Whenever it is ON, power button works good, ALWAYS. When it goes into the weird state, I am not able to put it in recovery mode as well. Whenever, I am able to put it in recovery mode, power button ALWYAS works good. Also I have seen that sometimes, even after boot-up it is not able to detect the SD card even when battery is at around 30%.
I have tried all the methods I could find related to "Nexus One power issue" here on XDA as well as via Google search. Sometimes the "remove battery multiple times while plugged into AC" works but at times it also does not help either.
I visited the local HTC service station. The guy there showed me that the small strip of Litmus paper on battery and phone has turned reddish. For normal phone it should be white. This indicates that phone was in contact with something acidic in nature. I tried swapping batteries with my friends and colleagues, but no luck. I have replaced the power button strip of my phone which seems to be trouble some as per the discussions here.
I have tried CM7.x, RCADS, MM super hybrid, eVil's desire port and of course stock 2.3.x ROMs. All seem to have similar issue one or another time. I have also tried Amon_RA's 2.2.0 and 2.2.1. Somebody told me to try with CM6.1 which I will try now if I am able to boot it in recovery.
My warranty is long gone, BTW. Also I bought my phone from US and it is not possible for me to go there again in near future. This issue cropped up approximately 3/4 weeks back. I have default radio.
Having said that, does anybody know what could be the issue with my phone? Has anyone faced such an issue?

Hi Moderators,
Apologies for posting this thread in this sub-forum. I forgot that question threads should be in Q&A section. Having said that, if its not too much to ask, can you please move this thread to Nexus One's Q&A sub-forum?
Just update d firmware wit any of the ones which r available here...m pretty sure this ll solve yor issue as I think its related to software not hardware...

Firmware update lol seriously ...try updating your radio to the 5.08 or 5.12 then flashing a stock rom and go from there

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I somehow manage to put my Nexus one in recovery mode by pressing power + volume down buttons multiple times. Then flashed the radio 5.08 on it. I already have CM 7.x ROM.
With this combination, my phone is working good so far. The power down issue would have reoccured by now. So it looks like my issue is resolved. I will use it for 24 more hours and come back if I am able to hit the power down issue again.
Once again thanks for the suggestions. As usual, XDA rocks. Had been experiencing this since good old Windows Mobile + HTC Touch days :-D.

I tested my Nexus one for past approx ~36 hours. In this time, I was hit by the issue mentioned in this thread twice.
Out of those 2, 1 was probably caused due to a soft reboot as I was able to get some output from cat /proc/last_kmsg but could not save it for sharing. The other one did not had last_kmsg entry so I am not sure what caused the phone to go haywire. The battery charge was ~30% when I booted it next time.
Now, I am on CM 7.x stable + 5.08 radio + Amon_Ra' 2.0.0 recovery and I explicitly have wiped the cache and Dalvik-cache via recovery. Since then, phone seems to be working OK. I will keep this thread updated if I am again able to get into the "Not able to power-on with power button" issue.

Xoom randomly shutting off @ ICS?

So I flashed my new Xoom using "[ROM][Nightly][ICS] Team Eos European 3G (GSM) Nightlies", everything seemed ok without any 3G problems and so on.
But, after 2-3 days, the device seems to randomly shut off itself after being in normal sleep for about 10-30min and needed the soft reset using upper volume + power button to start again.
I reflashed and unrooted so Im back to stock firmware 3.2 now, and I havent seen any random shut downs yet (only been 1 day though). Im wondering whether this could be because of the ICS rom or just a faulty device? I didnt install many apps after I flashed ICS, only facebook, cpu spy & quick reboot, so I dont think these where the culprits?
Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing with the Xoom?
Edit: Crap, I thought I where in Q&A-forum. Nice first post... Would someone please care to move this to the right place?
