Since upgrading to Froyo today on O2 my phone keeps defaulting to TWlauncher.
I have homeswitcher and can click set default on launcherpro and then click launch but as soon as I press the middle button at the bottom of the phone it goes back to tw launcher, can anyone help?
Think home switcher has issues with 2.2.
I've ripped tw out completely using titanium backup.
Or you will need to clear defaults on touchwiz in your app settings, next time you press home it should prompt you for what you want to launch.

That. I had the same issue when I upgraded, cleared the default, hit home and set LauncherPro as the default and haven't looked back

Stopped using touch wiz and switched to launcherpro as my default home app, reduced lag by a lot
I first installed this program and deleted it. Well now I decided I want it back but it doesn't show up in my apps drawer. It shows up in settings under manage apps but still no way to set it as my default. I sent the dev an email but never got a response. What do I do?

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Apps. Then press Menu > List all apps. Fine "twlauncher" and clear defaults for it.

Go to Settings - Applications - Manage applications - Press menu button (left bottom) - select filter -select running - go down to the bottom TwLauncher - Click clear defaults - press home buttom.
It will ask you what you want to use as your default.
Delete and reinstall it and it should ask to set as default when you press home

Yeah, TouchWiz is quite lagly at the moment.
I use home switcher app to switch from touch wiz, launcher pro or ADW. Its a great app to switch home replacements quick.

I use Launcherpro and I think it is the best home replacement... better than Open Home which I used in the past...

I'm rooted running the latest Quantum rom with ext4 support dk28.
I've noticed that my home launcher default won't stick. To replicate the issue...if I press my home button for several seconds to bring up my most recent app pop up, then close that and hit the home key I will get the pop up asking me what I would like my home defaul launcher to be. Anyone else having this issue?

Try home switcher in the market. Its free. It lets you pick which launcher you want as default.maybe that'll work.

Occasionally I have this problem too, but not recently.
You can also go into menu > settings > applications and up top hit "all" and find all of the launchers (one at a time) and click them, then clear defaults.. once you've completed this, pick the launcher you want to use as a default and see if you have better luck.
I use zeam and haven't had this problem in a week or two.

Ill try this. I only cleared the defaults of the launcher I switched from via this method. Ill try clearing them all.

I've tried unistalling and re-installing Launcher pro but I don't get the option to select TW or LP when i hit the home key. I forced TW to stop and cleared data but is still goes back to TW when pressing home.
Any ideas?

Key word: should. The whole point of this thread is that hitting the home key didn't give the option like it should have.
You could also go into app setting under default launcher and turn tw asus default off.

This is probably a dumb question (I'm likely overlooking an obvious setting), but I've been running LP for a while on Froyo. I've now downloaded the ota GB, and would like to check out the stock home screen, but can't figure out how to temporarily turn off LP.
In my experience the only way is to uninstall it or freeze in TB.

Home switcher app in the market. You can set your stock one as default if you wish and still keep LP on.

I can't get the home switcher app to make the home my default. It just force closes everytime I try. If I uninstall LP can I reinstall it without buying it?
i got home switcher and no issues, i think there is 2 versions of search home switcher

You sure can. Backup your settings in it first, or use titanium backup to back the whole thing up. You could also try homesmack to change the default launcher.

Yes, you can re-download and install from Market!
Answer to your first question: Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Launcher Pro -> Clear Defaults!
Hey guys. Just wanted to bring up an issue I have had with my phone. Anytime I install a new launcher I have the same issue. When pressing the "Home" button my phone constantly (80% of the time) asks me which launcher I want to use, Touchwiz or (currently) Aviate. Eventhough I select Aviate > Always. It still does this to me. Even if I uninstall the app it still pops up and asks "TouchWiz or TouchWiz Easy" and it continues to do this until I factory reset my phone. Which is a pain. Has anyone else had this issue?
Tried rebooting after selecting Always?

Are you downloading a launcher from the play store? You should be able to go into settings and set new as default or go to factory app manager and find Touchwiz home app in list and click it there u can clear defaults on it

I went into the Default Applications and set Aviate as default, hit home button, and the same issue... And yes I did get this from Play Store. But again, it's happened with any launcher I tried on JB and KK.
Seems to be working atm. I'll update you if it changes.
