[Q] Voice search doesn't work on 2.2

i just got my htc wildfire for 1 day and when i started it for the first time it automaticly asked for update so i did that update and now i'm on 2.2
then at once (don't ask me how) i had a search widget with the voice icon
i was like WOOOOT VOICE!!! but when i clicked it, it brought me to the market and market said that it couldn't be found. so i downloaded the google voice from somewhere, installed it and now when i try to use it it always gives me an error, (in dutch so i'll use google translate to translate it) : Alas! The voice search application (process com.google.android.voicesearch) stopped unexpectedly. try again
or what i get in dutch:
Helaas!
De applicatie Voice Search (proces com.google.android.voicesearch) is onverwachts gestopt. probeer het opnieuw.

Voice Commands Not Working (Focus)

So I've got a Focus running Mango, and I try to hold the Start button to open the Voice Commands, but it never works. Going into a text message and clicking the "microphone" icon doesn't open a voice input box either! Same as going to Bing and clicking the voice search button, it just doesn't work!
How the hell could that just not work? This is the official Mango update. Is anyone else experiencing this?????
And yes, I have the "Enable speeh recognition over the network" option enabled.
You need to have an active data connection for that to work.

Click to collapse
I do have an active data connection. It's as if the Mango update forgot to install the Voice Command section of the software... it's like it doesn't exist! I'm simply wondering if anyone else is getting this problem.
Hi,
I am facing the same issue!
I have an unlocked Samsung Focus HW Rev 1.4 on OS ver 7392 (Mango update is not out for this device yet) and this feature was working for some time before it stopped. Now it just freezes briefly when I long-press the Win key and then it's back to normal. I can't access the voice feature even through the mic icon on Bing search. I have tried soft-reset, hard-reset, etc, nothing has worked so far!

If you get Google Keep error "Voice recording not available" when you tap on the microphone icon (either widget or in Keep app), you need the Google Search app enabled.

[Q] Android service restarts, but application does not

I am a complete newbie in Android.
I am developing an application that sends over a webservice information about the last dialed number, call status, and duration of the call.
The application works perfectly fine, but when the device closes the application the android service does restart but the activity does not.
The way I am sure about that is that I have Toasts when the service is started: "Servicio TRUCKA iniciado" and "Servicio TRUCKA creado" tell me that the service has been created and started.
And when the information is sent to the webservice I have toasts saying: "Enviando informaciĆ³n..." and "InformaciĆ³n enviada."
But when the application is closed (via the android task manager that automatically closes apps) the messages from the service "Servicio TRUCKA iniciado" and "Servicio TRUCKA creado" do appear, but the toasts from the information sent part do not.
I hope someone can help me and tell what am I doing wrong?
Really really thanks a lot!
I can not add code to the post, so I am adding the project hoping someone can help me

My actions where not in the service
