hi, does anyone know how to install dsp manager to hd2 android? people with native android phones install it via recovery mode, but I don't know how to do this with hd2. here's one thread about it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773449
thanks
You put the apk in the root/system/app folder and you put the libaudioflinger.so in the root/system/lib folder and full reboot android and it should work
*if non of the folders exist then create them and if libaudioflinger.so allready exists then overwrite it
I've tried replacing it.. but it does not allow me to replace the file
Use ES File Explorer to mount system data as writable. its free from the market.
open es file explorer, go to settings and pick root options.
I'm currently using ES file explorer.. but i cant check the Mount File System

Hey TheiPhoneKiller!
Where can I find these files? I´ve downloaded this zip file, but I can´t find a libaudioflinger.so in there...
here we go,ive uploaded it for you
thank you, man
Thanks... its working on normal builds, i think this doesn't work with ram edition builds.
ok, i finally tried installing this as instructed and after reboot the phone just stalls at htc logo. i rebooted once more and still the same. so i did a fresh install
edit: apparently my build (jdms) already has dsp manager built in.
I am trying to take a keyboard that somebody made into a flashable .zip file, and implement it into a rom that I am working on. What I did was flash the .zip through cwm, then found the apk, backed it up, and then placed it in the /system/app folder on the new rom. The problem is as soon as the rom boots, I get a force close error. So I took a look at the .zip file, there are two folders meta-inf and system. inside system there is an app folder and lib folder. My question is can I just take the apk and lib file out and place them directly into /system/app and system/lib on the new rom? and if so do i need to do anything with the META-INF folder? any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
thanks
the META-INF folder may have some script that does some other manipulation of the filesystem or runs helper apps during installation. See what's in META-INF/com/google/android/update-script.
I'm trying to find where all the .apk files are located on the Nexus 4. I'm rooted and I can see the system .apk files under /system/app. Where would the .apk files be located that I have downloaded from the Play Store?
I beleeve in data/app at least for the free ones you downloaded
question is,if i want to remove lib files from system apk,how should i know what lib is from removed apk? i know to find lib files from regular apk(unpack apk file and look path of lib.so files),but system apk does not contain lib files when i unpack them, and there are no all lib files start with lib(name of apk).so
Hi
I have a question because I don't know how to install cereberus.apk as a system file.
I have single .apk file but in system\app I have some folders with apk files inside.
Do I need to make folder for my apk file or only copy this and change permissions (644)?
And which is the best place for this apk:
*system\app
or
*data\app?
Thanks a lot
If you are rooted you can use titanium backup to change it from a normal app to a system app.
^This
Alternatively you can drop the apk into system/priv-app, fix its permissions and then reboot.
