Data indicator in wifi

Any way to get back the data transfer arrows while using wifi? Maybe an app or method?

That's the situation. Leave the network for wifi and the data up/down indicator disappears. It's a small price to pay, but I sure would like a solution..
Anyone ??

3g connection problem

Hi all
I just got my galaxy tab, but i cant access the mobile network connection. Can anyone tell me what should i do?

Did you put a sim card in? You need a data plan too.

Are you in airplane mode? Did you verify your network settings? Is your sim card in the correct direction, fully seated?

Yes i check all this, but i still can't get anything.

3G connectivity problem

Hello everyone, I just have a quick question about the internet.
I have an unlimited data plan for my atrix, but I have a tiny Wi-Fi signal in my room which means it won't select the 3g internet connection, but I want it to because The signal is stronger. Please Help !

Did you think to turn of the WIFI?
I know it is really a high-tech solution but I think it might work.....

Yeah I turned off the wifi but it turns on by itself and connects to.my AP

hm. weird. if it's off it should stay off. I don't see any auto-connect option.
is this the same as yours?

Yeah its mostly the same except I don't have the Auto Connect option

The only thing I can think of is that this may have something to do with setting WiFi to never sleep.

International WiFi

Hello All,
I will be out of the country in the near future. The place will have free WiFi. How do I ensure I won't be billed for international data but still use the WiFi?

Test right now if you can turn on airplane mode and wifi at the same time on the ROM your using

Wouldn't he get charged if he gets calls or texts? More so the latter since you can ignore calls

Yes I can.... Airplane mode and wifi as we speak! So this is all I have to do to not be billed?

but if you need gps it may not work in airplane mode.
just tried this om cm9 and while in airplane mode it will not lock any sats for me. but if i take it out of airplane mode while it's trying to get a lock it will get one as soon as it finds a tower and keep it after i turn airplane mode back on. something to think about if you were going to get around with google maps in a foreign land. and i had my home wifi on for this quick, unscientific test.
on the plus side this should get you excellent battery life with the radios off.

Heeey, I just tried it. I got GPS with Airplane mode. GPS Status showed them all as normal.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you are in a country where you do not have Sprint affiliates, you shouldn't be charged anything for using your phone for merely the wireless or the GPS functionality. Sprint has to know you will be using the phone internationally, and only then, will your connection be activated in that new country - not automatically. Isn't this true?

Wifi safe zone

Is my mind paying tricks on me or did Samsung say something about wifi safe zone where phone is unlocked automatically when connected to certain networks

I thought this too, you can add your wifi network to a home zone but I can't find any setting to disable my screen lock when attached to that network?
