I have the MDJ's Revolution v1.5 Android build for my HD2!
Can i change this lockscreen:

to this lockscreen?
When i was playing around alittle i noticed that if you delete the HtcLockScreen.apk from /system/app, it will rollback to the default one. Atleast it did that for me.

On what build did you try that?
Edit: I can't find the system/apps...Maybe because my phone it's not an Android based? I have hd2 and i boot Android from sd card...
Is there any .apk to install it for me?
edithhh! I get it...i must have a rooted Android version and with the use of root explorer i can do it! I will give it a try!
I used "Linda-manager" to go into "my phone", there you'll get a warning if you're sure to go into that folder. There you'll find the system/apps folder. Rename or delete the lockscreen.apk.
It works fine, but the Windows-button of the HD2 overrules the lockscreen so you'll always be able to enter the phone with that button.
I'm still finding a way to solve that "problem".

I've been searching the forums for this, and can only find info on T-Mobile, and changing the skin to the WM5...
when making a call or using the dialer, or in a call, that ugly off-color CINGULAR logo is in the upper left. Any way to remove this, or at least change it?
thanks
create a replacement dialer logo .gif that is
size: 105px x 23px
name: "Carrierlogo"
place in location: /windows folder and replace existing .gif file named "Carrierlogo"
after replacing: soft reset
you may want to save a copy of the oem "Carrierlogo" file... or not
i created a blank/transparent .gif because i don't need it to say anything but any image will appear so have fun
Dude..I can't copy it..because the image is in use...
I have attached the file I use. (I take NO credit for making the file, as I found it elsewhere).
Use the instructions above and copy it over the existing one in the \windows folder ... then soft reset.
larsjeparsje - make sure you don't have the phone dial pad window open.

Does this go for the "T-Mobile" logo as well?
thanx
OR
Just delete the file and it will display the text of the carrier you are on.
The K-Jam doesn't have that file...

interesting... i totally removed "Carrierlogo.gif" from \windows and:
1) no adverse affect. phone works fine with no image at all.
2) i do not see the carrier displayed as you state.
The problem is, I can't delete the Carrierlogo.gif...
i read in another post that it may related to rom version... search is your friend... sorry

Name : htc programs
Size : 150kb
Info : 3X FASTER than the original program folder

so now i need your help to change the original programs folder path to this EXE
YOU NEED TO TRY IT
installing: unzip it and copy it anywhere in your diamond and make shortcut to startmenu
Very smooth indeed. Nice one mate.
Got a question though. How do you create a shortcut in the start menu to a program like this that hasn't been installed?
look at this - Link Creator 1.3 ... it should do the job... (if u are using english rom)
Wonderful
Is there the settings.exe?
I think this is the same as something that should already be on your phone. Check in \Windows for a file called folderview.exe (it's on my Fuze and I presume it's in Diamond's as well). I've seen this in the past since the tweak to get 4 columns in the programs directory will not work for this file. What I've done n the past is set this as a soft key to make it quicker to get to.

Renaming this file to folderview.exe and cooking it in the ROM overwriting the existing file wont help?

use resco explorer
1-hold on the file you want to make shortcut for
2-a screen will popup
3-press send/send to startmenu
wow thanks for this! makes such a big difference
Where did you get the background from?
Thanks guys for the solving my shortcut program. It was really bugging me that I didnt have a shortcut to the TomTom 7.9.
I created a clean looking HTC animated splash based on the HTC "YOU" commercials. It's only about 4 seconds long to avoid a long startup sequence. Just unzip and use a file namager like Total Commander to copy the files into your /windows/ folder.
If someone would volunteer to make this a cab, I'd appreciate it.
Update: Sept 1st, 2010 - Installable CAB version for those who don't want to have to copy the files to their windows folder. (thanks Brent372). Look a few posts down for the link.

Cab installed to device, no go.
Stock ROM/ radio...themes all custom cozy.
In which folder do u put the zip file in windows???
On Acer Neotouch S200 with a stock ROM is NOT working....
I've installed a cab on a main mamory, but nothing!
alright i found this app which changes icons but it also contains a "bonus feature"
that allows you to change either the animated boot screen,and or microsoft boot screen just copy your "gifs",and "pngs" to your sd card find them with the app
Save,close,then use the "reset device" option and enjoy.
(the preview option is broken)
Using this now on my Sprint Touch Pro 2. If you have Sprint, you have to copy over the "SPCS_480x800.gif" file in the Windows folder.
Thanks for the great work!
P.S. Where's the thanks button on your post? Would like to have used it...
Went ahead and made my own animation with sound and all. For more info on how to change and edit all this go to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=732311

Install instructions (must be rooted):
Place contents of shutdown.zip in directory: /system/media/video/shutdown
Place contents of shutdown_128.zip in directory: /system/media/audio/ui
easiest way to do it is through root explorer. Try this animation out and let me know what you think, I'm also working on a few more
wrong section.. this belongs in the Theme & Apps forum but this looks pretty good.

thanks, I did a serach for shutdown animation and all the posts were on general so I put it here
Hey I like it. Better than that pink flying around the screen crap.
Didn't work for me. Contents where they belong but the phone just shuts down normally, no new sound or animation
Didn't work for me either...
It looks like it should, but like the previous post, it just shuts down with no animation and no sound.
how are you guys getting the files in the directory?
More detailed explanation please
Hello,
I would like to put this shutdown on my vibrant. I am running Bionix 1.3.1.
I have changed boot animations many times but never shutdown animations.
Can someone give more detailed instructions please? Do I replace these entire folders with the new folders? These are zip files so should I flash through recovery?
Confused at the moment.
Or, does anyone have any great shutdown animations for Bionixx 1.3.1?
Thanks for your help.
You will also need a kerel that supports bootanimations and shutdown ones too. I found that out just recently myself as I was throwing some metroid icons and animations onto my phone.
Kernel?
I know that I can change my bootanimation, never tried to change the shutdown one.
Follow the op's instructions ...if you copy the folder then you will need to make it lower case.....also if running a custom kernel you wont get sound
Got it working I much prefer it over original bionix 1.3.1 shutdown

Hello
My girlfriend borrowed her dads HD2, and now it stopped working. She talked to him and most likely it requires an update of Android.
I'm usually pretty tech-savvy, but the language spoken on this forum is beyond my comprehension.
So, I have a HD2 with both win & Android installed. To boot into Android i need to go into windows and press two files on the SD-card: "CLRCAD" & "HARET".
The files look like this in Windows (pc):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Her dad mentioned Boxmax 6.5, so I found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1100560
The files I downloaded from there looks pretty similar, aside from a few additions on the phone.
Downloaded the SD-one, but now i'm lost.
How do I update the phone? Just overwrite the files with the new ones or clean install? If it's a clean install, how do i do it? Do i need to backup something?
Backup all files on the SD card to a safe place (pc).
Delete folder Android on the card.
Copy the Android folder from the archive you downloaded.
Pop the SD card back into HD2, and start Android from winMo (clrcad, haret) or better yet install the exceller autoboot.
Thanks alot, sounds easy enough
When i pop the things back on the SD-card from the backup-folder, I still need to install all the apps and widgets again right?
Edit: Oh, and what about all her messages? Are they stored on the phone?
