I bought a case for the tab but I keep taking it off. It feels so much better in my hand with out a leather case.
How many of you are running naked?
The original screen protector plastic that came with it out of the box actually. I have just cut off the peel back tab that sticks out from the corner and gently pushed out the air bubbles. Can't beat free.
The original screen protector lasted about 2days.
I looked at the official cases tmobile and samsung are pushing but i couldnt justify $60 for what looked and feeled like junk.
Long story shorr. I have been a wreck for days carrying around my tab scared to let it touch anything for fear it gets scratxhed.
Waiting om a high dollar case i found online.
Galaxy Tabs.....Worrh every penny!!
I actually picked up the in icipio case from t-mobile and I have to say, this case is by far one of the best cases i've ever had for any device i've ever owned. It's a soft gel/ hard case and it has a stand that pops out from back. I still have all the plastics that came on the sgt from the box, so my tab will still look like day one taken out of the box.

Same here. I just actually got my tab a few minutes ago. The lady that was helping me said they just got accessories in today. I picked the incipio case as well and a screen protector.
I wanted the leather book case but as soon as i took it out of the box it felt cheap.
I did see those hard cases and they are sturdy. I guess i just wanted the ultra cool leather and had my heart set on one.
On a side note.····just spent two hours in the rain·····you didnt think id go without my tab did ya?

Lol what a case!
I have the leather case from best buy. I eventually want to get a leather case with a snap. I tried to carry mind naked the day I got it but I dropped it and since then its been in a case. The incipio and the hard case didnt appeal to me.
You guys should look in the accesories forum.

I also got this case.. It works great and I don't fear dropping it (well not as much) and i know it will never get scratched up at all. I also left all the plastic on it right out of the box. I bought a screen protector too but have not put it on yet due to still using the one that was on it from the box (no scratches on it yet..but I know it will in time, its not very good quality I dont think but gets the job done for now.
Only regret is how bulky it make it. Later I may look at a skin type to get back to the more "naked" feel.
For those that have the Incipio case do you find it very hard to put the tab into it? Or am I doing it wrong...I always feel like I'm going to break the hard part of the case by bending it to far or damage the Tab.

its kinda tedious to put in. what i did after i put in the silicone part in then slide the tab left side (mic side) to the plastic then put the top right part, middle, then finally the bottom right plastic. now, the silicone will not match up to the opening designed for it on the plastic side but if you use your fingernails to try to pull the silicone in their respective openings they will eventually fit.
kinda the way I did it with mine. This type of case is not made for a lot of taking the tab in and out but its going to do the job of protecting it.

Belkin - Grip Vue Case for Samsung Galaxy Tablet - Clear
Leather
I bought the Samsung own one for £30 that has that patented shock protection stuff d3o (i think). It's a lovely case, don't really care about the price and it feel gorgeous to hold. THe one downside is that the way it's designed to slot the tab into the ring at the back when using it as a stand makes it slightly difficult to open and close quickly.

I saw the one from Verizon online and went into the store to place the order. It was $69.99. I'll know by Friday if its really an Otterbox. I found it funny that it wasn't even listed on the Otterbox website.

Summary
Seidio has long been known as one of the top providers of smartphone accessories.
I received the Ultimate Screen Guard - Crystal Clear, and I must say that it is very similar to my SGP Steinheil Crystal Clear for Moto Droid. Is there a difference? It's hard to say. It does feel like the Seidio protector drags your finger a tiny bit more. I put the protector on in my room. Don't need to do the shower trick if your room is dust-free. The Screen Guard feels like glass, is static cling instead of water+soup application, and doesn't affect image quality. In the future though, I will probably end up going with a Anti-glare/fingerprint screen protector, because fingerprints drive me crazy. Also note that this protector does not have cutouts for the front camera and sensors, unlike Clarivue.
Their main competitors in terms of cases include OtterBox and BodyGlove. OtterBox does not yet have a case announced for the Evo. BodyGlove cases are usually considered inferior to Seidio's, though cheaper. I must say I am VERY satisfied with the Seidio Innocase. I'm even starting to like the purple look! It doesn't add much to the phone, it protects the back camera, and there's so much potential for future accessory compatibility if you stick with Seidio. I loove the rubbery texture, much more than the back of the Evo itself. I often listen to Pandora while driving, and the Evo slides around like crazy on the tray. With the new case's grip, it stays in place and I feel a lot more secure about the Evo. Highly recommend this case!

What's up with Seidio and women looking upwards?
Ultimate Screen Guard - Crystal Clear
Very simple packaging. Booklet style holds everything.
Evo without screen protector.
Evo with Ultimate Screen Guard - Crystal Clear. No glare reduction.
Comes with 2 protectors, application card, and microfiber cloth.
Huge piece of microfiber cloth!
Comes with instructions on the card.
It's on! Can you see it? Neither can I.
1 millimeter of space left on top. I shouldn't have aimed it flush at the bottom edge of the Evo.
Looking great!
Innocase II Surface
Lots of leftover room in the packaging for such a thin case.
The two halves.
Closer inspection of the inside. Love the feeling of the felt!
Snap it on the Evo.
Kickstand works great! No weight redistribution so the Evo is rock steady.
Top and side cutouts.
Bottom cutouts for mic and ports.
Seidio screen protector + case = safe as can be.
Labbit says hi.
The Making Of
I didn't have a tripod, so I used the next best thing. A trashcan. Rigged with scotch tape.
Oh, thank goodness! I was hoping I wouldn't have to pour soup all over the soon-to-be mine Evo! Thanks for clearing that up!
All humor aside, thanks for the review. That Innocase looks really good. What is the outside made out of, some sort of metal or simply hard plastic?

great review both text and youtube-wise. I was wondering if you think this case will support the extended life batteries when they come out. As the brief product description mentions "It has 133% more capacity than the original battery and comes with a black replacement door featuring Seidio's signature soft touch coating". You mentioned the case being fairly snug, do you think this will be a problem or if it will work just fine as with the rest of their products? I may just email them if you are not sure.
Again great review!

Thanks! Seidio has both a Slim extended battery and a larger sized extended battery (not out yet). The slim will be the same size as the stock battery, and only the larger battery will need a back replacement door.
Yes the Innocase will work with the rest of their accessories.

sweeeeet this is good news. One more thing though, do you think that the added bulk from the 3500mAh battery will cause problems with the Innocase? I plan on getting both but want to make sure my Evo with big battery and new door will fit in the case without any issues from the added bulk.

I don't know for sure, but my GUESS is that there will be a separate Innocase that's compatible with the larger extended battery. Looking at the current Innocase, I don't see how the extra thickness can be compensated to still fit. But the good news is, the car dock and multimedia dock are both listed as compatible with the large 3500mAh extended battery.

This case is definitely my second choice. I guess I'm in the minority that actually likes the $15 silicone case at sprint. That being said I've had Seidio before on my Pre. I love the feel of their cases and they usually are the thinnest of the cases you'll find. I am getting their screen protectors though. The sprint one bothers me since it only covers the screen and that's a problem when you slide your finger from teh top or bottom edges.
whats the font for the time ? sorry that ****s hot lol and how do you apply it to beautiful widgets 2.9
I picked up my tablet this morning and noticed there is some scuffing on the back. I tried to rub it off but that didn't do anything. I use my Note for school and I occasionally spin it from landscape to portrait mode. I must say for a $500 tablet I am a little disappointed. I will be emailing Samsung about this. I just wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this with their Note 10.1? I haven't even had it for a month yet.
Yeah I think spinning anything on any kind of surface would leave scuff marks.

It doesn't matter whether a device is aluminum or plastic; drag it against a material that's harder than it is and it's going to scratch. If you don't like cases get it a skin. That'll probably hide your existing stuffs too. I never slide my devices against anything when their naked. I'll put it down and pick it as vertically as possible. I also get top dollar resale wise by taking care of them while I'm using them. So it's cool if you don't want to baby your toys but then expect wear and tear.
Its not like I am spinning it like a top. I will just place it on the desk and it to lanscape mode. The desk is not made of glass or metal it just a wooden desk so I don't understand how that would be harder then the case.
Tiny particles (to small to easily see) of grit, dirt, etc, trapped on the surace of the table, could scuff/scratch your note with ease. I learned my lesson many, many, devices ago. BUY A DECENT CASE! You'll make the money back on the re-sale.
No offense to the OP, but anyone who walks around carrying a $500 tablet without a case on it is just begging to have a broken, uninsured tablet.

Shortly after getting my Note, I went out and bought some inexpensive netbook skins and cut one to fit the back of the note. (Yeah, yeah - I know - kind of colourful.. but I was tired of everything always being solid black )
After just over a month - this is what the backing looks like. See the scuffing. The back takes a lot of stress. I have an Asus slipcase (ironically) that works beautifully for the Note (even has a loop to hold a full digital pen), but since I carry my Note in a Tucano vertical shoulder bag, puttng it in the slipcase then into the shoulder bag gets a bit tedious.
So yeah, I'd recommend either a slip case or putting a skin on the back. The skin also protects the back if you use their universal dock.
Sand is about 7 on the hardness scale. Diamond is 10. Plastic doesn't stand a chance. Buy a case that will absorb the punishment.
I purchased the Samsung Book Cover case which is working very well and adds hardly anything to the Galaxy Note 10.1. Here is quick video of the Book Cover.

Dont peel the plastic on the back when your first bought it and can have somewhat of a protection. I kept mine on and it still has a case.

And even diamond particles themselvs are sometimes part of sand and dust.
I got a small dent on the back of my note after a week.
I was really surprised as I thought it was made of some polycarbonate substance, so it must be metal.

Good grief. Listen, i love XDA but what i dislike entirely is when some poor SOB asks a simple question, which is NEVER answered, and everybody jumps on the bandwagon and shoots the guy down. I used the prime and tf700 without a case and didn't have a scratch on the prime (yeah it's aluminum) but seriously, the issue is not that it's plastic or a $500 device. I had the original galaxy tab 7 and yes, no scratches either on the back.
I'm going to predict that the OPs galaxy note is.......(drumroll) GRAY and is .....(drumroll) 16GB. Am i correct? Let me explain.
SO there are two problems here. One problem was discussed earlier in another thread about squeaking. I recently had a gray 16GB. Squeaked horribly on the right side. Left side screen slightly "popped" next to the back arrow button down below. REad the forums and only a few people complained about things in that thread - but it seemed to be with gray. I made a statement about the gray and white seeming different, i can't guarantee but i can almost assure you they are. Why? Because i've had them both.
My new white one is more solid. I can't explain it. More solid all around, it *actually* feels slightly heavier. Doesn't feel like a "toy" so many reviewers gave it (more to that in a minute).
The White S-pen that i have is DEFINITELY lighter than the gray S-pen that i had. Again, we are talking maybe a couple grams. But it's noticeable. No popping in the back of my white, no squeaking on the right under the right speaker and where the spen slot is hollowed. The reason i'm mentioning all of this is because to me, they really are different, the gray and white.
The gray one seems to dent in six areas. Let me draw. (Attachment #1)
Okay. I used my tablet and kept it in my old A500 case by Targus 99% of the time. When it came time to swap it out, it had these exact same "surface" scratches on it. What the deal? Keep in mind my gray tablet HAD THE PLASTIC coating still on the tablet. WHich indicates to me that their might not be a surface layer under the gray tablet and the innards are pushing too hard on the outside of the tablet (#2)
"You are crazy, you have no proof" you say. OK. Let me make another point.
GO over ALL of the reviews for this tablet, the 8013 wifi edition by all the websites. Verge, androidcentral, engadget, android police, mobiletech, etc.
Notice which websites gave the tablet a thumbs up for durability (albeit plastic) which model color they had....white!
Now look to see which websites gave awful reviews about the tablets.....they had GRAY.
Don't believe me? Lisa Grade from mobiletech (who i've been following for years since the treo 300/ppc6600 and i730 reviews came in) even postulated in one of her comments that she suspected the white version held up better than the gray and their may have been some manufacturing differences. I've thought this all along, from what i've read and what i've felt.
Now i can add this picture as well, (#3) although it doesn't prove anything except they changed the graphic. Later date? Better marketing? Makes sense. What does your box show and if it's different, is it GRAY?
Hey, if your white versions have the same areas, we need to definitely post things here.
I got the picture of the scuffs from http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...iew-an-embarrassing-lazy-arrogant-money-grab/
Scroll down to the pictures (after glancing at the horrible review)

I second this. It's a terrific case because it's so thin and light. It also works with the desktop dock. I leave my Note in it all the time so both the back and display are protected. It's really more like the phone book cover for the SGS3 which is meant to be left on continuously than a traditional tablet case.

Apparently you're the only one.
Every device can be scratched. Whether an individual device is scratched or not is based purely on what it's subjected to. If I carry my devices without a case and they get scratched I don't blame the manufacturer, I blame myself. That's why most of the time, especially outside my house, my devices are always in cases.
As for the six "dents." I'm guessing that they're dimples because on the reverse side of the case there are probable spacers molded to the cover to prevent the back from compressing.
Mines got scuffs and dings on it.
Yes its sad that it is no longer aesthetically perfect.
But it doesnt function any less perfect so i dont let it bother me
@sledgie
Maybe they are different, most likely just in your head.. unless you can weigh both on a scale then .....yeah. remember kimmers' iphone video where everyone said the iphone 4s (thinking it was the 5) was lighter and faster? ..
Apple pees on your leg and tells you that it's raining.
..95% iPhone users believe.
There are already cases listed on Amazon but beware as none are legit for this phone. Make sure to match up the cameras and fingerprint scanners to the back of the case.
First legit case

First legit case. Just a simple TPU one. Clear.
Hopefully there will be some portfolio style cases that be used as kickstands. I want to be able to put it on a desk or table to watch video or to use Skype.
That case might actually be the one that is going to be available on the Lenovo website (they say a clear case is coming). I am a bit OCD about my phones and want to have screen protectors and cases in hand when I open the phone box. I would have ordered the phone from Lowes.com yesterday but I really want those items - made specifically for this phone - in hand before opening the phone box. I am assuming that case on Amazon ships from China? I am hoping that in 2 weeks there will be more different options available (now that the phone is in hand for many customers)...

I heard that the screen protector type might be an issue because of the way the Pro's display is angled... That maybe the wet install "skin" type might be better? I like this type better - I only used the wet install on my earliest phone - have used this type ever since...
Do the holes on the case you got match up with all the ports, etc. on the phone?
I am actually thinking of waiting until the Black Friday time frame to get mine because I would prefer the Champagne Gold color and I figure by then there will be plenty of case and screen protector choices... But, if not, did your items ship from the USA? Thanks for your time!

Just waiting for someone to see if either of those wallet cases work. No hard otter type cases yet and no cases with a kickstand.

Thanks for your time!

i bought these, and the manufacturer screwed up the dimensions. the width is only the width to the edge of the screen (NOT the bezel), and the height is the OVERALL height (PAST the bezel, will not sit flat because of the raised lip around phone). not even close to fitting properly.
Thanks for the updates using your personal experiences!!!

I ordered the same one but my phone hasn't come in yet. Were you able to get a refund?
I ordered the only TPU case that was available on Amazon from Tektide. The case fits perfectly.

Here's a picture of the tempered glass on the phone. Take a look at the edges as they don't full stick properly.

Yeah... I see! Thanks for the pictures! I would worry about dust and dirt getting under those edges and sticking - it would look pretty gross... So I guess a thin, bendable or a wet install skin will be the way to go...

I've had a soft case ordered for a week & it still hasn't left China. My phone, ordered at the same time, arrived yesterday. I'm afraid to even pick it up without a case and, when the case gets here, I still won't take the phone out of the house until I get a rugged clam case/holster or Otterbox case for it. With the phone's Lowes Building Supply tie-in, someone should have anticipated the need for a rugged case. I've been a builder and contractor for decades, since "mobile" phones had to be permanently installed under the dashboard, and I know no one who would risk carrying something so delicate on a construction site without the heaviest protective case.
What about it, Lowes? Got a protective, rugged holster in the pipeline for this thing?
Even though I will always be carrying it around in a handbag I want a protective case, too... My fear is that there won't be enough interest in the phone for the "good" case manufacturers to even bother with it!!!

Last night I had my phone face down on a table, and accidentally bumped it off. I heard a thud and looked down to see my phone face down on the concrete floor. Either the Tektide case saved it or I may have just been incredibly lucky in how it landed, but fortunately it was undamaged. Lesson learned though: phone is slick when face down.
My el-cheapo ($0.99) soft case came in from China & it's great! It's clear (vinyl?), covers back & sides, and it's slightly sticky--perfect for anyone worried about dropping their slippery new phone. I'm waiting for a rugged clam case / holster before I take it out of the house but for those of you who don't mind carrying a $500 piece of glass in your pocket, this case will fit all your needs, providing you aren't in a hurry. I ordered mine on a Thursday & it arrived on Friday--a week later. Here's the link to buy:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/182204186118
Forgot to mention, do NOT open the soft envelope that this skin case arrives in with a razor knife ! ! ! ! ! This large phone's large soft case fills the vinyl bubble envelope. When I sliced the envelope open I scratched (sliced) the soft cover inside. Damn. Still works fine but...

You sound like ME! Not even wanting to take the phone out of the house without the proper protection! Lololol! I bought several of those cases... I hope that teenie package will get here before the phone does... Although I still haven't ordered the phone yet...I am still tempted by the Zenfone Ultra... And would rather buy this one from Lowe's. And don't want to order waiting for 3 week shipping... I will definitely get it while I still have a valid coupon code for 30% off a Drops & Spills warranty at Square Trade!!!

Black case now available on Amazon + Qi receivers
This case has the wrong photos, but comments say it fits the Phab 2 Pro perfectly and it's black - better for using with a universal Qi receiver than the clear case.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IN3MUR6
I have it on order and will report back, though my phone doesn't arrive for 2 weeks (shipping from Lenovo delayed twice now!)
I have a couple Qi receivers on order and will report back what works (or doesn't).
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L5WC8MY
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GQ3YIDE
These are both for "Type A" micro USB like the Phab 2 Pro (the narrow part of the micro USB is facing the screen).
Hi all,
I note a lot of folk like the chunkier cases like otterbox, I'm certainly not one of them as I hate the bulk, weight and hiding the phone aesthetics.
I am happy with the trade-off in protection, so prefer to go down the much more minimalistic ultra thin cases, often clear ones that show off the phone. I appreciate they only offer scratch protection, but I'm generally very careful with my phone's (haven't dropped one yet).
So with that in mind, can anyone recommend anything they've seen on Amazon, like a clear ultra thin case? Most of the kind you see there pickup fingerprints, stains and grease so easily. I know of the mnml and peel cases, but with postage they're about £25 to the UK, which is estortionate considering what you're getting.
If anyone is like me looking for similar, let's share some ideas. Something super thin, grippy, and preferably clear or matte would be epic.
Thanks!
I too prefer thinner and lighter cases. A go-to case I have purchased for all of my phones in the past years is the Nillkin Frosted Shield. You can find it on Amazon or Ebay. It is a hard case, but has excellent grip texture on the back and an all-around matte feel. It snaps in nice and always appears to be well built. I often buy at least 10 cases for each phone I have as I have trouble finding the right one, but this case always comes through. I have ordered one for my 9+ already but has not shown up yet. The only thing is I don't think they have a clear one that you would like, but I am just trying to offer my opinion to help you out.

Thanks mate, sounds like a goodun! I went onto Amazon looks like not in stock (UK) so won't be shipping til late march, but I'll definitely keep my eye on it. They look really nice, and aside from the clear thing, it's the type of case I'm looking for.

Ahhh good old Spigen. Unfortunately not on amazon yet, at least in UK, and on their website not available just yet.
If thinner is what you're looking for... Ringke Slim Series (No bulk at all - little protection) or Ringke Fusion Series - Hybrid (A little more protection) I used them both on my S7 edge.
My $9+, direct from Samsung Australia, came with this one in the box, packed with the manuals

I, too, like the thin fit cases with the soft matte feel.
These two stood out to me on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Colorful-Ultra-Thin-Anti-Drop-Material-Protection/dp/B079CC1PYD/
You can also find something similar on eBay by searching s9+ thin case, but most of them takes a long time to ship from China.
The Spigen Air Skin is available for S9+ on eBay:

Just got mine from PITAKA, stylish and sleek, I'm satisfied with it so far. it balances the protection and aesthetics in my opinion. I've also found this guy's review https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...dium=lily&utm_campaign=Magcase&utm_content=S9
I really like the Ringke Onyx. Not clear, though.
Picked up a Tech 21 Evo Max case for my S9+ and its still as strong as my griffon survivor but about half the bulk.
Hsbsb
I am using ringke fusion like it a lot it is not thin or thick I would say and the bumper is not the slimmest but quite protective, like the smoke black color with my blue s9+ but there is a clear version
https://www.ringkestore.com/collect...y-s9-plus-ringke-fusion?variant=6366003167259
Here is the case I use for every single smartphone.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07B...s=imak+s9+&dpPl=1&dpID=510MHKH9W7L&ref=plSrch
You should try it.
I am using the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle. I have the frost/black and frost/green, both of which look nice depending on the color of your device. I originally bought the frost/black to go on my Lilac S9 Plus but my mother ended up stealing my Lilac S9 Plus so I went and picked up the Titan Grey and ordered the frost/green for it because it looked too plain with the frost/black on the Titan Grey S9 Plus. .

I, too, have the Nillkin FS case and can confirm that the look, fit and feel are all awesome. Great case, great price. It offers more than scratch protection. I'm generally VERY careful with my phones but, last night, while on the treadmill, I dropped my S9+. It slammed into the steel post of my treadmill, hit the track, then I kicked it across the basement. It slammed into a wall and then bounced back, tumbling under the treadmill. My heart sunk. Much to my surprise, the phone was entirely unscathed, and I don't even use a screen protector. The case is still blemish-free. Unbelievable.

I've got this one too. Looks awesome in white. I switch to a slightly beefier case (Nillkin Frosted Shield) when I'm going out or using my phone in any type of environment or activity where the potential of dropping the phone could be foreseeable. The Elago is great, but it offers absolutely no protection to the display whatsoever.
Diztronic hands down.
I like the feel of the Anccer but it's very fragile. Just taking it off a few times resulted in cracks around the cutout for the headphone jack!
I buy from aliexpress. They are slim and don't lift the tempered glass cover which most of the others covers do. The brand is called msvii postage is good and comes within a week to uk.

I have this memumi 0.3mm case for my S9+.
The render's only for the S9, though. It's pretty good. I've had many kinds of these thin cases in the past (including for my S8+) and this one seems to be a bit stiffer than those, mainly because the sides are a bit reinforced, which is a good thing. You can't really see it on the render but it's a bit squared-off on the sides like it has a very slight built-in bumper.
I also like that it has a divider between the fingerprint scanner and the camera lenses. The others have just one big opening all the way through.
I've also got this Ringke case but I don't like that it's open in the area around the volume buttons. It's a very good hard case, though.
I just bought a Speck Presidio Grip. It looks nice but when I try to play game it messes up the game because part of case touches screen. I going naked.
Just got it! the case is nicely packed in a package for a premium experience.
The case is just as expected, very high quality, thin and executive styled. The S9+ has no camera bump so the thickness of the case is just nice to protect it when you sit the phone backwards on a table.
Cut out for the microphone, speaker, charging port is also nicely done.
Things to note:
1) very slim case, it only offers minimal protection although military grade material is used
2) the Pitaka wireless Qi charging car mount does not work well with the s9/s9+ case, I received info from pitaka that the s9+ position of the wireless charging coil of S9 therefore the position of the built-in metal plate is different from other cases, they are still testing there new wireless charging mount, it will come out later,

Someone should post a video of a drop test. I seriously doubt that a case not even 1mm thick can protect the phone from any drops.
Saw a vid on Youtube, was not a pretty sight... Problem is, cant find it anymore.
edit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHda4tSlRmQ 11.00 minutes
But seriously i feel drop test are overrated.. obviously you arent suppose to drop ur phone and theres always risk that phone can be damage cosmetically or internally from dropping..
Tbh i have the same case i used for my pixel 2xl and i drop it like couple of times on hard concrete by accident and luckily the phone did survive as it hit the corner on the case. Phone is still perfect.. but thats just me being lucky..
I wouldnt recommend this case if you are looking for good drop protection... This is for thin case lovers and i like the texture and quality of the case
i use either unicorn beetle case with front and back proper protection or when im not in a mood of a case. i don't put any .
In my opinion all thin profile cases are useless and waste of money.
Either you have full protection which helps saving your phone or you don't if you like to have better screen interaction and touch feel
i dropped an S6 Edge+ few years back on carpeted floor. It had a Spigen Rugged So Called 810G Mil Protection. Military grade my ass, and it just smashed.
So if you survive drops in such cases its a miracle you are really lucky. Its not the case which saved you , its the angle it hit and your sheer luck thats all
I have a Samsung OEM Rugged Case which i use when im going out formal as well

Cool story....
The other option is people who don't drop their phones like crazy but want some protection from scratches and scuffs since you know, this phone is glass. With out making an already large phone the size of a tank.

Everyone has their own opinions on cases whether it being thick or thin. Thats why so many cases are available in the market for us to choose right.
For me, i freaking hate cases and everytime when i upgrade to a newer phone, my used phones are often not in a favourable condition to negotiate for a better selling price. Thats when i really look into getting like the thinnest and quality cases so i wouldn't be disrupted by the feel(size of phone and texture) from everyday usage while looking sleek at the same time.
I didnt say the pitaka case saved my phone screen from cracking.. i was just really lucky and i agree it was sheer luck especially dropping it on a road.. but it did save me from the deep scratches that might have occured if i didnt have a case on.

Wish it would protect all the edges. Sides of the glass are exposed and will crack if landing onto a rock or something like that.

Would kind of defeat the purpose of having a camera on a phone if you had it in a case with no opening to allow it to be used, I would think.
