Ringtone problems with cyanogen rc1 - Legend General

Jusy installed cyanogen rc1.
Having problems with ringtone.
Sometimes it sounds, sometimes it doesn't.
Rebooting doesn't seem to help.
Before I was using rc1, was using 6.0, but the ringtone problem wasn't severe then.
At the moment, playing them from settings-sounds, is not a problem, but when a call comes in, it goes dead silent. Sms seems to work fine. Media plays with no issues as well..
Can someone advice?
Thanks.

I'm having the same problem, but with notification sounds as well. it works fine for a day or so, then all sounds stop working and rebooting doesn't help at all.

Hi. i'm the original person who started this post.
Try reflashing a fresh ROM.
I think it would be ok after that.
I've also started using the vodaphone ROM. it's free of notification/sound problems.

2.1 Dropped audio! Only fix is reboot...

I've tried Fresh 2.0/b/b2 DamageControl v.9999 and all of them have randomly dropped ALL audio. Ringtone, Voice, Notifications, and media all go silent. The only thing I've found to fix it is to reboot. This has happend 3 times to me today and my good friend has had the same issue for 3 days or so. I think it may be related to the .29 kernel?
Any ideas?
yes. it sux. happens alot to me. just live with it. im about to test darchlegend and see how that goes tom.

Sound not working. Ive searched and tried fixes!

Hello all. Im using Chuckdroid rom with the new radio 2.15 (although the problem still existed with 2.14) and Mdeejay Froyo revolution android.
I had this issue spring up unexpectedly. I had been using Mdeejay's previous version for a day or two with no issues. Then all of a sudden the audio stopped working. I tried updating the radio first to 2.15 from 2.14. Then I tried rebooting after initial launch because it was Froyo. Then I tried updating the Android version to the newer one Mdeejay had. Still nothing.
When it first boots there is sound if I press volume up. Then nothing.
Any thoughts? Is this because of Froyo? Am I missing something?
I jsut changed out the Android version again to: CMYLXGOs.Droid.RedTopia.v1.0.1. It is still not working. I have no idea where I messed up here. Im still searching! Anybody?
Bump. Still having issues guys.

Im at a loss. Ive never had an issue I couldnt figure out until now. Next thing Im going to do when I get home is change the kernel. If that doesnt work then a different rom. If that doesnt work, I guess change the radio to 2.12 or before. Other than that I dont know what to do. Maybe format and start over.
I wish somebody would weigh in with this.
blah blah blah

sound randomly off?

Hey guys, so I've been having s slight issue latley. When someone calls or texts me, there isn't any ring tone playing and the volume is set to 100% and mostly the only way to get the sound back is reboot the device.
Any fixes?
Also, today I had a call from my dad and I accepted the call and I couldn't hear anything. When I called back I didn't hear any beeping either. I rebooted my phone and then it worked. What's up with that?
Should I switch Roms? Or is there something else I could do? Thanks!

I had the same problem. Kept happening intermittently. Tried different roms...didn't seem to fix it. Tried several fixes I found in the forum but no success.
Finished up reflashing the standard htc wm6.5 rom back on and tried boyppc's gingerbread rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970542 and haven't had the problem since.
I did try another android rom before this one....the first call I got coming in didn't ring, so I don't think the 6.5 rom was the issue. Why boyppc rom works when some of the others didn't I don't understand...but it did....so I'm happy.

hmm..that's weird. i'm gonna try CM7 and then i'll see if i have any problems, thanks for a reply though!
I'd be interested to know how you get on. I'm very reluctant to try any others now that mine is working so well.....
I have found that I don't use windows much any more so I might try a nand sd build later on......

Can't hear people on the headset

I've been having this problem where I can't hear anyone on the handset. When the person answers the call, I can hear maybe two or three seconds worth, but it's completely garbled and broken up, as though I'm in a bad reception area, and then it goes silent. But I can hear them perfectly fine if I switch to speakerphone or use the handsfree headset! The people on the other side can hear me too.
It all started a few days ago. I had just installed the Phoenix kernel for MIUI. It was working fine for a while, and then all of a sudden this started happening. At first I thought maybe it was something to do with the Phoenix kernel, so I just reflashed MIUI. No factory reset yet. Just wanted the original kernel back. Still the same. So then I thought maybe I'll try a different ROM altogether and went to CM7. Same problem. Finally, I put in a stock recovery and went to stock 407. Same problem there as well!! DSC v1.0, same problem!! Now I'm back to CM7, and yes, same problem! Not sure what else I can try. I seriously hope it's not some hardware issue. Any suggestions as to what to try next would be appreciated!

[Resolved] No Audio in calls

Ok I'm not a complete newb but I can't figure this out and its been driving me nuts for over a week now...
SGH-1337M (Rogers)
Up until last week I'd been running the nightly builds of CyanogenMod and loving it, the phone was fast had lots of functionality then I did a nightly upgrade and my phone stopped working. Incoming calls would ring but when I picked up the call I couldn't hear the caller and they couldn't hear me. After much frustration I ended up flashing back to stock. This fixed the problem but the phone was useless as far as I was concerned for everything but making phone calls. It was laggy, I couldn't listen to music (it was staticy) and just generally full of all of the extraneous crud that Rogers seemed to think I should have on my phone. (I honestly couldn't suggest the phone to anyone who was going to run it as a stock device if this was how it came out of the box!)
Now On Sunday I decided to try again and after setting everything back to defaults I reloaded Cyanogen and at first it seemed that things were working properly... until last night. Again I got a call and when I answered it there was no audio.
I can't figure it out, I'm running the correct radio now after flashing to stock (I337MVLUAMG1) but I just can't seem to get it to work and stay working. Besides Cyanogen I'm only running two other "root" apps Fantastic audio installer and AdAway.
Any suggestions would be great, I just can't go back to stock on this phone...
Any ideas?
I think I have the problem figured out...
Seems like it was a combination of a bad build of CM and the "Fantastic Audio Installer"
Beware of compatibility issues with apps like this...
