[Q] Parsing Error On Installing Apps in Android - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I am trying to install apps I found on the web, but I am getting a Parse Error "There is a problem parsing the package," each time I try to install it.
I have tried different file explorers, restarting my phone with no luck.
Anybody know how to fix this?

Download the files again using a different browser. Parsing error = file did not download properly.

[Q] Parse Error When Installing APK

I get the following error when attempting to install some (not all) apps:
Code:
parse error "there is a problem parsing the package."
If I then try and install the same app via ADB, I get the following error:
Code:
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK]
Suggestions on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance!
make sure the apk that is downloaded hasn't been corrupted. Check md5 checksum if that's available. If not, redownload it and try again.
Still getting this error, including when attempting to install the new Google Market.
Any additional ideas as this is very frustrating!
Thanks in advance.
Same here, did anyone else having the same issue?

[Q] package file is invalid

Hello
I am able to download all the apps from the market. But there is only one app I can't download. Adobe Flash Player. Since this app in unavailable in my country, I'm using Market Enabler in order to download it. I used market enabler for other app which is not available in my country, and it has been installed successfully. When I try to get the flash player, my device (MT3G 32B) downloads it, and when it starts installing it suddenly stops, and I get a notification says the installation was unsuccessful. I touch this notification, and I get 2 messages: "Installation error: Package file is invalid", and "Not found: The requested item could not be found". I am sure the reason is not related to the restrection in my country, since I am able to download other unavailable apps with market enabler. I think the reason is loftover files from the apk installation of The flash player. I installed it few times from apk files, but I was not able to use the browser after the installation so I uninstalled it and tried again, and again. I should find a way to remove ALL the leftover files of this app.
May you help me finding and removing these files please?
Thank you!
same problem with my hd2 on android..
every single app i download from the android market gives a "package file is invalid" error..
anyone has a solution to this problem?

Application installation Error

Hello,
Since yesterday I am facing a new problem on HD2 while updating applications and also to install new applications. After downloading the application from the Google Play Store the application does not installed and give an error saying "Package file invalid". Same error comes while updating an application.
My phone's rom is MIUI.us.ICS-Leo-2.6.15
I would be grateful for help on this issue.
Many thanks
Some of them doesn't support some kernel or some lib in your HD2. And sometimes it needs original rom. I sent you a PM.

[HELP] "There was an error parsing the package"

Hi:
I have a Redmi 4 Prime v6.0.1 MMB29M!
I wanted to install an app from the Google Play, but in the webpage it says that the "app is not compatible with my device"!
Then, I downloaded the .apk of the app, and when I try to install the app, in the smartphone, and I got the message "There was an error parsing the package"!
I tried to use Apk Parser, and Apk Editor, to try to change the sdkMin version of the app, but these Apps dont work well in the phone, give some errors, or simple crasches!
There is any solution to install new apps in old phones!
Thank you for support!
