I want to get an app from the uk market via scanning barcode online but the market doesnt recognize the link. Anyway to get apps only available in international markets?
thanks in advanced.
Not sure, it depends on the app itself if it is available for 2.1.
You can try Market Enabler which fakes your code to show all marketplace apps.
MarketEnabler
Haven't tried it myself, and some people were reporting issues with Galaxy phones. You can give it a try though!

The same thing is happening to me since yesterday, I'm from Puerto Rico.
You can see the details on my original post regarding this issue, HERE
However, I am able to download all apps from the website version of the market:
https://market.android.com/
When you select an app and hit install, a pop-up appear asking what device (registered to your Google account) want to install it, if your country is not compatible, it will not allow installation.
Try using Market Enabler (you can download it from the Android Market for free) in order to "fool" the market into thinking you are from a different country. It might help.
About a month ago I flashed my Canadian Xoom to US firmware so that I would be able to receive OTA updates in a more timely fashion. Since that time, I have been unable to purchase apps for my device from the android market. I had no problem doing so when my device was running Canadian firmware. Anyone know how to remedy this?
There are many apps on the market to let you change the default region for the market.
I use Any Locale on mine to get the UK market... Give one if those apps a try...
Any locale is not really a solution to the above problem as it is only a language alteration app. Thanks for trying but this wont help
I flashed mine to GED US as well.. It was original a German Xoom, but I use it in Denmark
I purchased apps yesterday from the Google Play sale. Works fine!
Only problem with the Marked are the comments which are all american.
Maybe do a hard reset or clear the marked app cache..
I am currently using the T989 model of Samsung Galaxy S 2. I have been running CM10 Nightlies without issue. Since CM10 is Jellybean, it obviously comes with Google Now. I live in Canada, and from my experience, when you first load up a CM10 ROM and select the country as Canada and then use Google Now, you will not receive voice talkback.
However, if I choose that I am located in the United States I will get a female voice talking back. Alternatively, if I select UK I get an English male voice talking back to me.
When I upgrade to the Nexus 4 and sign in for the first time, do I have to select that I am from the United States or UK to get the Google Now talkback? Or would I be ok to choose Canada (the actual country in which I am located)? I would prefer to select my actual location, but don't want to lose voice talkback. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
As far as i know it has nothing to do with your location, but rather the system language (Must be English (UK) or English (US).
There are some that have modded the APK to speak back in english regardless of your locale, but it hasn't been updated for the 4.2 version yet.
Good afternoon,
I am writing because I have a bothering problem with my new Galaxy S5.
I bought it in China (this is where I live), and I didn’t consider the option of having so many differences between the version here and the one in the European market (I am from Italy). First of all, the choice of language is limited to Chinese, Korean and English, but this is not an issue at all. The biggest problem is the absence of any service provided by google, such as the play store; plus, the SamsungApp store allows me to download just apps in Chinese, or at least the 99% of them is like that. Therefore, to download basic apps such as Shazam, Wordreference, Wikipedia and so on I have to rely on alternative markets. Of course Facebook doesn’t work; the strange thing is that it doesn’t work with a VPN either, which happened on my old Galaxy Nexus… well, maybe this is just a temporary network problem.
Anyway, my question is: is there any way to format the device and re-install the OS “making it believe it is an Italian smartphone”? or at least European…
I inserted *#1234#, and what I received is as follows:
AP: G9006VZNU1AND1
CP: G9006VZNU1AND1
CSC: G9006VCHU1AND1
Thanks for your help!

Yeah, I honestly ignore why I haven't thought about the HK version before buying it...
Anyway right now I found a way to use the VPN, and a person I know in Italy told me there is the chance to format the phone and install the Italian OS... do you think it's possible?

Yeah, actually as I already said I don't really care about the language of the OS, as long as I can manage to download all the apps I need and use my device without the limitations that the Chinese version has!

You can install this app Phone INFO ★Samsung★
Go to menu --> 'CSC Changer' and see how many CSC in your phone. If it supports multi-CSC, you can change to another CSC if you are lucky.

Tried to, it won't work!
By clicking the link it makes me log in to google play, and the account I have is still linked to my old device, while I can't download it without logging in.
The result has been that I downloaded it from my S5 on my old Galaxy Nexus
Thanks, though!
