OK I may be going crazy. I've been sorting out all kinds of stuff on this phone, and I just happen to take closer notice to the address bar loading color on the default browser. I could have bet that it was a light blue. Am I wrong? It is now a light green for me. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's when you load a web page, or click a link, and the address bar shows a colored bar going across it until the page fully loads. After the page loads, it goes back to white. The only thing I changed from when I thought it was blue was the wi-fi setting. I checked the box "Best Wi-Fi Performance" option under the advanced setting for wi-fi. I unchecked it to test, but it's still green. Can someone confirm what color their default browser loading color is please?

it has always been light green for me
when you change the skin for sense, it changes the color of that loading bar. Maybe you changed your skin? Slate is blue, regular sense is green.
Yep, with my current skin its yellow I think

I'll just add that Metal uses a darker blue and that alone had made me use it as my permanent skin. Mostly the skins use that light blue (blackboard, slate, music lover), wood uses a rusty brown-red and Sense of course is green.

That's it! I was using Slate for a while. Now using default. Thanks. I guess I'm not crazy!

I'm using the HTC_black theme. IN SBP mobile shell, in TF3D it's looks black as it should, but the today screen has green background.
I am with the original ROM (1.19), and it's annoying, I just want it BLACK.
An ideas how to black that today screen background?
Amir.
In SPB Mobile shell go to settings -> Themes and select "Use a based color theme". Then select the black color
The thing is that I wish to use the black theme on the today screen, SPB mobile shell was just an example.
Still can't get simple black color on my today screen.
HTC Black
Go to Start then setting then click on today. Hope you will see there HTC Black & Windows default. If so select HTC Black press ok and you r done. If HTC Black not avialable you have to search for it.
The point is that the htc black is not black but blue_green. To see it you need to deactivate touchflo 3d.
I would like too a black background.
Exactly!
The theme I currently use is HTC-Black.
On the HTC Diamond when TF3D was disabled, I got simple black today screen. Using the same method even the same file, bringing to different results on the Touch HD.
I even created a simple jpg file using MS Paint, which contains pure & simple black rectangle. Even that doesn't looks black but light Grey.
TF3D does looks completely black, so it's not the screen but some dumb setting somewhere.
Any ideas?
it seems (but i'm guessing) that this issue has something to do with background transparency ? i mean it's like the background picture was "blended" with a totally white layer...
Its the highlighted items that are in green even if you select HTC black.
Try it, open a menu and the send sms or mms will be in green.
Terrible!
Well it's something with the Orange UK (the origin of my device) configuration.
I just installed new ROM, and the problem was gone (others just drop in.... but that's another story )
Amir.
A little off-topic, but can someone post that HTC_Black.tsk file? I recently flashed a new ROM and no longer have it.
I have the T-Mobile TP2 and the main color (tap, background and start menu drop) is navy blue. I want to change the color or put a background image that would make those the same image or color. Is their anyway to do this? I change the background color black, but the only thing that changed black is the home screen. The background for programs, bottom tabs and start menu drop is still navy blue. Looks really ugly.
This is probably what you're looking for. If you search for tmobile, there's a bunch of threads dedicated to debranding.

Thanks for the link vardig, I checked it out but I don't like the slider bar.
Everyone is making tons of black top bars for their froyo Tom's. But what I really want to see is a white top bar and maybe the stock icons too made for sense 2.1 roms.
Can anyone help?
Am i the only one who wants this? I like sense but i really would like a white top bar!
I too would like to have white status bar with stock icons, hope someone cares to share it.
White top bar = more power usage no one want's that
we have amoled displays. why would we worry about battery usage of the display.
i want it too.

Very true!
I'd also like a white status bar.
Don't understand why everyone wants & makes black ones.
Other then lookin better with most setups... the white bar has a burn in effect on the top of the screen that's why mist people change it

then you have to change services.jar to change text colour to something but white, or you won't be seeing a thing
I'd be willing to do it if i knew how. I guess it's just me interested in doing this then?
? do you want only the status bar at the top or do you want the icons in settings to? shud it be like an unrooted desire? i think i can fix it.

hmm all roms i found have icons for the black status bar the only one i found is froy they are for the white. shud i use them? hmm i can't take the icons from froyo beacuse they have another name, do anyone know a rom that is 2.1 that have white icons
Yes I think I prefer froyo icons please. Looks great otherwise!
Just got the S7 edge yesterday, everything is going fine except one thing.
I set a black wallpaper to take advantage of this beautiful AMOLED screen.
But when I set it, I get very faint white horizontal bars on top of the screen. It's not that my screen is broken, it's completely black when I see that image in the gallery, but when I set it as a wallpaper, I get the faint white bars. I tried it on the stock launcher as well as Nova & Apex. It's persistent in all the launchers.
I thought it might be because of the "shadow effect" many browsers have, but I turned the shadow off & yet it was there.
Anyone else have this issue? How do I fix it?
Thank you.
Edit:
I'm including 2 screenshots of the home screen. One of them is edited to make the bars more prominent.

It's normal and part of the stock framework and would need editing to remove. Doesn't bother me.
You could use a launcher like Nova and work on the transparency of the notification bar, or use a gesture to hide it entirely. I believe it's done so that you can see the notification bar in a black on black situation.

Won't make a difference, it's not part of the status bar.
I had same issue I tried the material black theme and gone now. Nice theme too

Huh... Weird. That's a bummer. Anyway, hopefully I'll get used to it & not notice it as much.
Thanks.

I downloaded the trial for that theme. Agreed it's a beautiful theme, but it doesn't solve the problem for me.
Yeah, I noticed that too as I actually have the same exact wallpaper haha.

Found a temporary fix.
Setting the wallpaper using KLWP.
It falls under the "live wallpapers", even if you just set a static wallpaper & the white bars don't show up on a live wallpaper.
Forgive me if this has already been asked.
Is there a way to change the green in-call background color to another color?
The stock green isn't appealing. All I really want is black.
I ended up using Google dialler. The green is horrible
How to disable stock green dialer and use Google instead?
I have tried everything in the user interface. Does not seem to work. I choose different themes - the platinum and the black one, but then these have wrapped icons which are horrible as well. Any solution welcome.

Settings-Pograms-setup-dafaults-set google dialer as default
you can find a good amount of themes on the Play Store by searching LG G6 theme, many of them have different dialer colors.

I use the black theme. I didn't like the borders around the icons either. I read that is an option in the display settings but I don't have it on mine -- maybe it is dependent on the theme. At any rate I installed Nova so I can be rid of those icon borders.
So if your main objection to the other themes is the icon borders, try an alternative launcher.
