Just picked up focus and can't locate microsoft myphone!!!
Windows Phone 7 no longer uses MyPhone. You need to go to devices<dot>live<dot>com. Sign in with the same live account on your phone and it's right there.

Hi guys,
I'm hoping someone can help me here.....
I've been trying out different ROMs with few issues, and have settled on using udK's 8.0 R1.
I had been saving my Windows Mobile contacts to Windows Live, which worked well for me, allowing me to edit all contacts - including those which were only phone numbers - in Windows Live Mail. However, a couple of days ago, I noticed a few contacts seemed to be missing - not a problem as I'd backed them using PIMbackup a couple of weeks ago. However, on restoration, I synced with Windows Live, which caused all of my Windows Live contacts to disappear. Note that all the contacts details are still available in my Windows Mobile contact list.
Can somebody help me restore my Windows Live contacts, so I can use Messenger again!
Hmm... try this:
Launch the "Windows Live" icon. Select Menu > Account options > 2 Switch Windows Live ID which will ask you if you want to replace the current Windows Live account on the device. Answer yes.
Then try to re-register your account on your device. This should re-sync the whole Windows Live story to your device.
Please report back if this solved your problem.
Thanks for that Schaggo, but I think I didn't make myself very clear. I got desperate in the end and made every single Windows Mobile contact a Windows Live contact by hand! Painful for my 170-odd contacts, could be a lot worse for someone else!
I think somewhere in the PIMbackup/restore process, all my Live contacts got overwritten by themselves as Windows Mobile contacts, therefore next time I did a sync, Live thought I'd deleted them all. I think next time I should restore my contacts from Live, don't you......
My HTC HD Mini has stopped syncing Outlook notes for unknown reasons!
I am running Windows 7 / Windows Mobile Device Center, and Outlook 2007.
Everything used to work fine, and then one day when I connected my phone, I get the following error:
Window Title: Windows Mobile Device Center
Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able to log on to the network and access information. Restart your desktop computer and synchronize again. If the problem persists, contact your network administrator.
If I go into the WMDC "change content sync settings' and remove Notes from the list, I don't get the error.
Everything else seems to sync fine, it's just notes that causes the problem.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it, as I rely on my notes like I rely on my fingers, i.e. I use them ALL the time!
I've resorted to using a spare PC to sync my notes for now, but it's not ideal.
maybe you can delete partnership at all, then re-creeate new partnership ?
But.. make back-up to contacts and data first..
brgds.
Yeah, I tried that already, but thanks for trying to help anyway.
I'm about to wipe the device, and then install the three updates from the HTC website. But I have a feeling it wont fix the issue....
I just installed Windows Phone 7 on my HD2
I rang microsoft for a activation code, and got one,
Everything works, ut i cant use xbox live to download apps - they have to be manually installed.
But my problem is i cant get my contacts on it.
they are backed up in mobile device center from the last sync with WM6.5 and it cant find a windows phone 7 Driver..
How can i sync and get my contacts???
If you have them backed up on Outlook or Google email then go to your email on the phone and sync... Restart the device and you will see them their!

Yes, you can. Except for Tasks.

Not directly, only if you have an Exchange account. Otherwise it's through Google or Outlook and Hotmail connector.
I believe schapps is working on a 'WP7 Device Centre' which will mimic many of the old style Device Centre functionality. Not sure even then that it will allow direct sync with Outlook though.
Everything works fine except when I try to sync my phone with Zune it disconnects the internet. Anyone?
Are you running as admin on the machine?

Are you running on a restricted account or you are running as admin?
Also things worth rechecking....
Did you run XBMODD? and you copied the file into the Windows root ? Thereafter did you run connection setup ?
Make sure that this is being identified as a T9292 in the about section of your mobile...
Then go to Zune ... with your phone disconnected.. opt to "Forget the Phone " and reconnect your HD2 ... here you should be asked to name your phone ... click next ... finish ....
One last thing to recheck is to make sure that the regional settings of your machine and the regional settings on your HD2 (WP7) and your Windows Live account (for which you used to activate) are all the same. Also make sure that the time / date on the machine is synchronized. I ran into issues when I had some of the above wrong...
Hope this helps.

Hi,
My HD2 is on WM 6.5.
I want to install a W7 rom on it but i have some questions before doing it.
How can i migrate my contacts ?my sms, my appointements?
The microsoft activation is obliged ?
Thanks
(sorry for my bad english)
First of all, its Windows Phone 7 and not Windows Mobile 7.
Your contacts can be imported from your SIM card if you have backed it up onto that, or Windows Phone also has the options to sync with your Gmail contacts and Windows Live Client and even Facebook contacts. SMS cannot be backed up but appointment's can likewise be synced with Outlook or from your Gmail account.
You only need the Microsoft activation if you want live services to be activated i.e, Marketplace, Zune and probably other stuff. I don't see the problem of going to Microsoft chat and politely asking for an activation code ... it takes probably 5 minutes at the most.
Give it a shot, Windows Phone is pretty fantastic and with the upcoming Mango update it'll be even better
I can second the Microsoft Chat for activation. It takes about 5min. Just tell them you have an HD7 that is asking for activation, your name, and number. You will have yourself a fully functional WP7 device. If you don't have it already, you might as well download ZUNE for pc (much easier to download apps and music).
So the new update brought link to windows to the s10 but I can't see my notifications or contacts in the windows app and from time to time it will say disconnected on my pc but not on the phone.
The only thing that is working is screen mirroring.
The pics/notifications &messages don't show up, I can send text messages but it doesn't sync my contacts so I have to manually put in the number to who I am sending. Any solutions to these problems because I can't delete the phone in the windows app I did try deleting data from both apps but it always knows that my phone was connected on the windows side. I granted it all permissions and I gave it notification permission but it doesn't ask for anymore which it did for the screen mirroring thing.
Are there any additional permissions that I need to give to the app that it failed to ask? Anyone got it to work properly? If so please help :good:
The problem is that the Microsoft program (I'm assuming that you are talking about Microsoft's Your Phone Companion) doesn't work very well. I had similar problems using it on 3 different phones (Xiaomi MI 9, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Essential PH-1) and finally decided it was too much trouble.
You can't delete your phone in Windows. You need to go to the Microsoft website and sign in with the same Microsoft account you used in the app. On your Microsoft account page you will see devices linked to Windows. You need to delete your S10+ from there.
If you want to be able to text from your computer an alternative option is to use Microsoft Messenger instead of the Samsung Text app. Microsoft Messenger includes a built-in option in settings to text from a computer or tablet.
Samsung also has its own app called Samsung Flow that's available in the Play Store and Windows Store that has similar functionality as the Microsoft app.
Unless you are talking about Samsung DeX. That's not available on the Snapdragon models yet so I have no experience using it.

Thanks for letting me know I can delete the phone via their site. It is stupid I can't do it somewhere in setting in windows but hey atleast I managed to delete my phone. I still couldn't get it to run properly which is terrible because that was one of their big selling points for the note 10 which is pretty simular to our s10. I might try it again in a few update they might fix it...
