Hi, I got a single crack at the corner of the screen... will it actually spread after a long period time of use? please note that there will be a screen protector stuck on it. Thanks!

Its very possible that it will get worse over time, can you have it replaced?

Doubt it. The crack has already found the edge of the glass at both ends.

My first phone had a very similar crack but mine went across the whold screen 3/4 of three way down. It comes from a tiny flaw where the earpiece speaker hole was cut out of the glass. I got mine replaced but it was not easy.
Good news is this is not a 'spider' crack and likely NOT to spread IMO.
also it is more difficult for moisture and crap too get into the crack and under the screen as samoled screens have no air gap (hence the awesome lack of reflectivity)

I'd rather go all black. If I could figure out how to get rid of "Sprint" and "SAMSUNG" and force the touch buttons to stay dark, that would be the direction I would go.
so doing this! thanks for the post.
I should try this since Im already a pro at sctratching the cheese off my nutz... But Im a fan of it being black,so I guess its time to scratch off the gorilla glass to get to Sprint and Samsung, time to wipe those names right off this phone for good.

Sounds like a stuck pixel. Do you have any pics of it?
No, I don't have a camera.
I don't think it's a stuck pixel though. The blotches cover nearly 1/5 Of the screen

Same thing happened to my gf's T-Bolt after she spilled liquid on the screen....
Wha but the thing has been in a cover the whole time. Never gotten wet damn.
I don't suppose there's any way of fixing it short of buying a new screen

Small crack on back of my wi-fi 10.1 tab

Sorry if it's a repost, I'm on tapatalk and search sucks on it.
The crack is on the back of the tab, about an inch above the charging port, almost right in the middle of the tab.
Anybody else have this? It's like a raised area under there, like a component pushing against the case, bowing it out to the point where it cracked.
I will try and get a decent picture, so far no luck getting one that really shows the crack.
I have never dropped it or sat on it, there are no scratches or dents anywhere else on the tab....

I don't see how this could be a repost... Anyway, do you still have warranty? That's seems like a manufacturing flaw to me.

There won't be an easy fix as digitizer is glued to screen and if it's under the screen you might need to take the screen apart which will not only viod the warranty but also might cause more bad than good as in you might break it.
Dust or dead pixels?
How do you get dust in when everything is so tight? Did you bury it in the ground and try to grow a Nexus tree?
Seriously though, if it was delivered like that, return it, otherwise have fun voiding your warranty.

Cracked screen and a bad replacement

So I ordered a replacement screen finally, as i have been with a cracked screen for awhile now. New screen came in and i begin to disassemble my phone, and remove the old screen no problem. I get to install the new one, and fit it in, its a little tight and I put a slight amount of pressure and the new one cracks in the corner. I was pretty pissed. So I then noticed that there is no gap at all between the digitizer and the hole for the optical joystick.
It was a screen from Chuanbo Zhang on amazon, which has plenty of reviews.

Did i just get a badly made screen? or is this normal for most screens or is there some version of the Droid Inc that has no gap between those parts?
Should I still try and repair this phone after ive had it for so long? Or is it time to retire and go for something new.
