Rubix 1.9.7

Ok so Im a little new at all this. Im currently on incredibly re-engineeredv1.00 and says im on version 2.2.1. Can I just wipe and install or do I have to load
2.3.340 OTA first and then install rubix? Thanks for the help
Ok loaded and all figured out. Ok since I cant post in the other forum is it best to use the rubix overclocker or can another be used ?

Use the Rubix one
Definitely use the one it comes with. It pushes your phone to the max of your specific phone. Mine can only go to 1.2 ghz . Oh well, good luck! And enjoy rubix!

Well I tried tranquility rom and didnt like it. Once on I had a hard time getting it off LOL. The best so far are rubix or liberty. Im currently back on rubix.

may be a dumb questions, but can another ROM be flashed over the updated GB ROM? for instance, if i flashed the GB ROM, can I flash MikShift over it? or will that just take me back to 2.2 with MikShift?

It will take you back to Froyo 2.2.
Mikshift is a 2.2 Sense based rom.
And This is 2.3.3 Gingerbread

Dumb question: Why not ask this in the thread dedicated to the very same topic where all the people who are actually using it are idling?

i installed the new leaked rom and it worked great for me, i haven't had any problems with it and yes i also flashed the new radio........did anyone notice the kingdom port is almost done, i can't wait its gonna be a sweet rom

Never mind... DUH! lol the HTC codename for the Evo 3d

are there any kernels available for the gb leak?? and i saw some people got the lockscreen 3.0 installed. Could some one post some instructions on how to do that! thanks!

To install the 3.0 Lockscreen you need to be on MikShifted G (http://www.themikmik.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=178&t=940)
After you are on that rom and have it all set up how you like it, have Titanium Backup installed and then follow the instructions on this post (from me) (http://www.themikmik.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=11143#p11143)

Im looking for an original CM7 rom if there is one for the hd2.I know there is hyperdroid and typhoon but im in need for an original CM7 if there is one. Please point me in the direction of a link and i have tried the search and it only comes up with two threads.

lol, accidently hit the "thanks" button.. ^^
Our hd2 is not a native android device and so there is also no offical cm7 rom.
Why dont you want to use hyperdroid or typhoon?

Hi guys, i just installed the new version of CM7. After play with it a little i decided to flahs faux´s kernel. After that my phone is hangin on cm7 boot screen. How can i solve it?

You can solve it by not using Faux's Kernel. If you look in the dev thread, you'll find that it's not working.
Apparently it'll be updated "soon".

faux updated his thread now btw.

If you're using the new CM7 release from yesterday, that is not the right one.
It should be Atrix-CM7-Kernel-stop-ext4-1.45GHz.zip.

Need advise on 3.2 ROM

Hi there,
I am new to the iconia forums but not new to android. I already have a heavily customized Xperia X10.
What I am looking for is a pre rooted stock 3.2 ROM. CWM is installed and works.
I have read so many threads but I am still not sure wich file to use.
It's a A500 with Acer_A500_4.017.07_EMEA_CUS7 ROM. The new one should work in Germany.
Can anyone help me? Many thanks in advance.

I am running taboonay 2.2 using the latest Thor kernel and am very happy. It is rock solid even overcooked.
Vache has removed most of the bloat, and but offers a kitchen to add back anything you want.
If you are looking for total stock for your locale, and someone else will need to chime in.

Have a look at the DEV section of this forum, read about each ROM, and then decide which one best meets your individual needs, and desires.

He's asking for a STOCK ROM, only that it's pre-rooted. He isn't asking for taboonay or such. Work on reading-comprehension.

well in the dev section there are some rooted stock, you will have to dig a few pages back
heres one one the second page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1265847 not sure if you will get any conflict with u being in germany
if u feel adventurous taboonay has always been solid, its built of a acers' rom just adds some goodies for drive mounts and stuff(usefully for plugging in external hard drives

Thanks buddy. But as WereCatf pointed out, I am looking for a stock ROM. But I missed that Kitchen-thingy when I first read that thread. Seems promising. But it requires registering so I didn't look any further in to it so far.

Also Thanks to you! I glanced through the dev section. But most of the ROMs have been cleaned by creators in some way. I would like to decide myself. But as there doesn't seem to be such a ROM that I am looking for, I will probably test one or the other custom ROMs.

You can always grab a completely stock ROM, install SU, and busybox before installing the ROM on your tab, and you'll have exactly what you want

Is it really that easy? OMG! My brain is so twistet that I think too complicated (more or less). I thought rooting will be gone with every update.

Karl, you still have to root and install a recovery (the best method). How else are you gonna be able to flash that rooted stock rom?

I guess I needed to be a bit more explicit with my response. I had no idea he'd take it that way!

I have been lurking the forums for a few weeks now and I have tried a few of the rom in the
Development area. The honeylicus rom is nice just installed kjy2010 version this morning.

thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if the GEN1 ROM was apllicable for german region.
What I am going to do next is to receive the OTA 3.2 Update without installing it. Guess it will be placed in the download folder. If it is not a GEN1 or GEN2 ROM, I will root it myself following the instructions in this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1290318
