I am using the wired headset provided with the wildfire a lot.
I have noticed that when it is connected to the phone the ringer volume coming out of the devices speaker is lowering.
Is there a way to prevent that behavior?
Thank you

Hmm.. I tried on mine but didn't notice any lowering. Check if you accidentally enabled the lift to mute function, it could be a.possible reason. Hope it helps.

I just tried it again without the lift to mute function and I am positive that the rigntone volume is lowering. Maybe the headset is draining power or something because the sound comes out the headset aswell.
Thanks for the reply.

Shouldn't be that much of a power drain.. and it sounds loud and clear on mine.. in both the earpiece and the phone itself.. how weird.

sound volume during the call too low!
using AXL3.
yes, i brought all volume setups to the max!
there is a patch, a registry tweak, something???
damn, 43 views not a single answer!!!
Did you set the volume during a call? Without call you can set only the volume of the device and the ringer...
I too am using the AXL3 but have had no sound problems. On the first call I just used the wheel on the side to turn up the volume.

I too am using that ROM and don't have sound issues. The only issue I have is that sometimes when I answer the phone, I need to use the wheel and turn up the volume because it defaults on a lower setting.

I am considering buying the HTC Aria (I can get it for free) but have read on several Android forums about the problems with the Aria's lack of ringtone volume. Has anyone here suffered from this or is this just a few upset customers. Also if you've had this problem were you able to fix it if so how? Did rooting the phone help at all? Thanks for the help.

Um...depends on what you mean by ringtone volume. Everytime I have my volume all the way up it rings and I can hear it. I've never had an issue where I had my volume up and it sounded like it was at anything less than full...hope that answers your question

I've had low volume problems when using songs for Ringtones. Used MP3 Gain pc software to increase the volume of the file. Search for "MP3 Gain" on the internet

MY ringtone is way way too loud. thats not an issue for me.
There are however volume problems with speaker phone or even the regular phone depending on your locations noise level.
Same here,I usually turn on the speaker and. Hold the phone close to my ear so I can hear people.there is a louder volume hack,I just haven't been able to test it.

I encountered a problem: When the head phones are connected and I get called, the ringtone is played only in the headphones. This an annoying problem, because I got used to my old phone ringing via the headphones and the speaker at the same time.
Has anybody else encountered this problem? Is there any fix?
Oh, and please don`t give any "advices" like "unplug the headphones while you`re not using them" because it`s silly to plug/unplug your headphones every time you take your earbuds out of your ears (maybe i`m not even listening to music, but I want to talk using the hands free device).
"It's not a bug, its a feature!" ;-)
But to be seriously, that's the way it's meant to be.
Well, mine doesn't have this problem and both the earphones and speaker sound the ringtone.. are you using the original HTC earphones that came with your phone?

Interesting, the problem appears even when I use the HTC headphones, not only my other headphones.
Maybe i`ll try a hard reset next weekend.
I say good, handsfree private calling should be through headphones or carkit ala nokia operation.
After turning off and back on again, it seems that the problem has disappeared.
I don`t know why, but it works as intended now.
Thanks for the help, guys!
Anyone else having issues with the earpiece volume being really low? I used to have an HTC Eris and that was loud and could hear anyone even with the phone sitting next to me on high but this phone i have to push the phone basically into my ear to hear some people.
I was wondering if there is any program that will work with an unrooted Xperia (since I have the R800x) ... I have tried countless things on the market but none of it helps.
Stereo speakers on the side of the phone are loud as hell, it is just the earpiece.

I have a sony bluetooth headset, and have to turn the incall voulme down to 50%, to stop my head getting blown off
Same here man I have to shove it down my ear to hear but like you said the stereo speakers are great.

Same problem happened to me until they just died on me .

The earphones are pretty ****. When I switch it to my senheissers it seems to be fine.
I am still having this issue.. the phones earpeice speaker is like 25% the volume of the speaker phone speakers. in a silent room I have trouble hearing people. I have no other option but use a blue tooth headset which ends up being 50% louder then the speaker phone speakers.
Anyone found a way to boost the headset speaker yet?
Hi, i am using wildfire with cm7 installed on it. I have a little problem- headset volume is really low. Yes, i have tried to push volume up, and it is on maximum. Tried different headset- same. Phone speaker is really loud. I can`t say when this happened because i got my headset only on this week(borrowed to sister).
I am looking for solution, can anyone help?
check the media volume in settings. else buy a good in ear like sony mdr ex85. or try equalizer app, volume+ app etc. mine is so loud. i use sonys in ear.

Checked every volume levels which i can found. If it helps to now how quiet it is, if i level volume down to about level 5, it is almost unhearable.
One more question. Coud it be hardware problem? I don`t know, if phone is using the same amplifier circuit to headphones and phone speaker.
Thanks.
I had the same problem a couple of months ago, so I bought Volume Boost. You can try it for free first, and there are a few other software options I haven't tried. Volume Boost works OK for me.
Go to Android Market (sorry, I can't give you the direct link here, since it's not allowed).

Thanks, it makes it a bit louder(i can listen to it now) but still silent.
dude you have done something wrong. also i think that earphone and speakers do not share same hardware.

So thats hardware problem? If so, probably new phone will be cheaper.
