I thought g2 had 4gb of space? - G2 and Desire Z General

The most I ever had was about 1.3 free. I was hoping for something like the galaxy where the onboard mem could be used for whatever. Where is the extra 2.xxgb of space?

Can't search through xda app. Would be a great feature though. Figured if someone would spend the time to tell me to search they would just give the update. Maybe I will turn on my computer and check it out. Not that important though, have plenty of sd space still.

From the main screen hit the"more" tab on the far right and the search option is in there.
People have discussed the issue until blue in the face. If you do a search you'll see thousands of posts about it. The general consensus is that the space is there, just not partitioned. It is being reserved for future updates, etc. There's more detail but that's the gist of it.

A quick look through the topic titles in the development subforum (or even in this one) would've told you that yes, there is. Including stickied guides, etc.
*Kicks the XDA dog* Damn search bar must be hidden again.
Judging from your linguistic skills, I'm not sure you'll be able to acomplish anything as far as electronic items.

New vibrant directory

Im thinking about starting a new thread in development section. With every ROM KERNEL and MODEM. All always up to date. Im on xda everyday, so wouldnt be hard. I will update everyday when I get home from work. And try to make it well organized. Does anyone support this? Or should I not?

that would be awesome. I'm sure many people will be grateful.

I wish you would do this in the Wiki instead. And by doing that you could also get help because anyone could update the wiki. I tried but it takes alot of effort and time is limited.

Yes, the "WIKI" right below the xdadevelopers logo in the upper left hand corner of this webpage. It's there I promise. Check it out it is pretty cool.
I too would like what you suggest.
Yeah I would love to see an updated directory. Wiki is cool, too.

Camera and force stops with the sports option

Not sure what happened to my last thread, but I was given really detailed info on how to fix my camera and it was gone before I had the time to take advantage of it Nothing like wasting the time of those willing to help you. Hopefully I just couldn't find it, but I checked my subscribed threads and nothing was there.
If you have recovery installed, you can install one of the kernels in the development forum. They have the camera fixes built in.

I don't know squat about any of this, which is why I didn't just use the instructions people had already given in other threads. They use terminology I don't understand and assume you know what they are talking about when they say use this kernel or that one (or whatever). I just checked and somehow I'm not subscribed to this thread as well. Maybe the other one is still here... I have never been on a forum where you weren't automatically subscribed to your own threads.
Ah.. well I found your thread lol. I'm using xda app so don't know if it'll link right, if not just copy and paste.
your thread

In the future you might notice as you are actually typing the subject out it will auto-guess other topics that are similar to yours. Additionally, you might spend more than 5 seconds looking at the general section
also if it helps there's a bug thread here http://code.google.com/p/android/is...rd&colspec=ID Type Status Owner Summary Stars for sdcard issues being read only etc.

The main thing it's done for mine is just made it far smoother and less lag ridden. Couldn't really give a crap about new features, it's just better at what it was already good at.

Xoom development

I bought a Motorola xoom cause it seemed full of potential but there does,nt seem to be much in the way of custom development for this device, anyone else noticed it seems to be a little slow compared to other devices,

While I love a good discussion, I.thought it might be helpful for you to read and digest this very recent thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1230867
If you have something to add after reading this one, why not add to the original thread, which will put it back on the front page.
