I am still cooking some Sense 2.1 ROMs featuring Manila 2.1.1920.xxx without HTC messaging (due to better speed). (WM build 21913)
But I can't enable the function to reply on a SMS via tapping in the manila SMS tab. I can reply via SMS tab pressing "menu" -> reply. But not by pressing on the SMS preview in the SMS tab? There is a little animation that the press is registered, but no action of opening the WM6.5 SMS window.
What could I be missing? thx guys!

I'm running a wm6.1 rom on my touch and love the threaded sms...the problem i have is both pocketcm and the default sms (outlook) seem to run simultaneously when i receive a text (i.e., i get 2 notices that i've received a text). is there a way to disable one or the other in the registry???

Same here. I've been looking for an answer to this question for awhile now.
donno if this is what you need, but in the Sounds and Notifications menu under 'Notifications' there is Event box. Selections include a 'Messaging: New Text Message', select that and uncheck the 'Display Message On Screen' box.. then you wont receive the default pop up box displaying the text message..only pocketcm will pop up...
I assume in pocketcm setting you turned its sms off and set it to use original sms program?
How to sort the sms by date?
I am using the generic UK rom
Open sms viewer
On the upper right corner , there should be a "pull down" arrow.
Tap on and select ,"Received"
If you tap on it again it again. It will toggle between
ascending or descending!!

A similar question: When using threaded sms, WinMob sorts the sms threads by date, BUT not by the date of the last received!!
Instead it uses the date of the FIRST message in thread!!!! That makes new messages appear somewhere down the list, which is not useful....
Is there a way to change that behaviour?

I have install XperiaTweak and i had select the disable conversation-style SMS. But after i disable this conversation-style SMS it won't sorting my SMS by date.
That is what I have exactly installed on my X1i
XperiaTweak V2.0
Turned off the conversation mode...
And I have no problem sorting ?!??!?

Anyone know of a threaded sms that uses the TF3d tab? I currently use smileysms and like it but it doesn't integrate with the TF3d tab. And if I delete a message from the TF3d tab it deletes that message from the conversation, so I end up with a bunch of 1 sided conversations...

Wondered if anyone knows how to permanently enable SMS reports in the threaded messaging interface? I have enabled it through the usual messaging options and this makes it permanent when sending a new SMS but not when replying through the threaded interface!
Any ideas?
It's a well-known bug here. You can't change this issue.

There will be a surprise after closing and reopening the contacts tab : The checked option is unchecked.

Well that's a heck of a bug !
Is there a reg hack to switch it on and stay on (I'd think not or someone would have noted it here).
Any of the cooked roms fix it then ?

Sorry all but I searched and tried all the tweaks and cabs such as "Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging 1.2" and other things but none of them works for me!
I wanna the classic mode which when I tap the messaging tab on sense, the window appears be the same when I click "All messages" and then tap on a message thread. Like which is in "Gen.Y_D2_R5.5_WWE" or Memo ROM when enabled Classic Message on Msg Tab tweak
