I read somewhere that the camera records at 30 fps, is there any way to up it to 60?

I believe there are kernels available that unlock the fps and allow higher rates.

Is anyone else experiencing a reduced frame rate or slower CPU? Is there any way to fix that or is mine just a fluke? I used a Lag Test .apk to check and my avg. frame rate was about 38 fps as opposed to 60ish before. Please help?
p.s. I used Astro to get rid of my extra unused files and that helped a bit, but still wondering if there is a better fix.

Yeah, it shouldnt be considering she has the same gpu in her phone as ours.
Seemed to me like Dead Trigger was a little laggy on high settings. I don't have anything to compare it to but with a lot of zombies it seemed slower than without. Of course it was still very playable.
Anyone noticed scroll speed substantially slower than compared to using a Note 3 phone or an iPad? Seems to be consistently worse in all browsers and most apps. Wonder if this is just the price of the high res display or if driver updates may help? Haven't used one, but wondering if the Nexus 10 has the same problem?
Yes
Not sure.
No.

I know the hardware is capable of it.
How can it be done?
I don't mind if it has to be 720p.
*one and only bump*
I would like to know this too. So yeah ERM... Bump lol

60 fps isn't slow. In fact, it won't change the speed of the video.
However, it mean you can slow it down to 30 fps (so people etc. move slow motion) and since it's still 30 fps, it will still be smooth.
I've heard that you can increase FPS with build.prop editing but I haven't gotten around to toying with it.
I have been searching for a while too.
Just curious, would a custom ROM like cyanogenmod be able to make the s4 i9505 record at 60fps 720p? Or maybe an s6 port that doesn't have the limit?

I had this idea a while ago, just when I got my Nexus 4. I tried to find any success in achieving 30+ FPS in the videos, to no avail. Does anybody around here know if it is even POSSIBLE to get from this guy 60 FPS or so?
Dunno boss, did u check some alternative camera apps
