HTC Sense Flashlight - Android Software Development

Hey, has anybody extracted the HTC Sense flashlight app? I really liked it and haven't found anything equal to it since I rooted. Are there any solid replacements I don't know about? I've been using the Xperia flashlight. Thanks.

Sorry, I don't think that it's currently working with AOSP roms like CM6 and MIUI, but I can offer that I have been using TeslaLED, a freebie, and have had good luck with it. It seems to be as bright as the HTC one. The cool thing is there are nice widgets too, which allow you to strobe the LED('s) or put it on a timed light.

Sense Camera on CM7?

Is this possible? I really like the sense camera for the edit effects. A good photo effect app would be just as appreciated
Edit: another problem I'm having with the CM7 camera is that the picture doesn't fill the screen like with sense

probably not. Everything is different from sense to cm7
Sent from my HTC Glacier Sense 3.0 using xda premium
No. Every main Sense app is tied to framework blah blah blah, anyway HTC has it fixed so the apps depend on Sense as a whole...There's no picking this or that out, none of that, on touch wiz people have hacked the apps but that's different. Just use another camera app like fx, lg, etc...
Any idea where to find a good alternative?

Set the CM7 camera to 4MP wide if that's what you really want. All it's doing is slightly zooming in, so you're actually getting slightly worse picture quality.

Camara from htc evo 3D?

Hi all, any one know how I can install the htc 3d app on a stock-rooted htc evo 4g? Or any app that has the 360° effect?

hahahahaha..this is funny!
360 degree? Are you talking of panorama? My EVO 4g does panorama. My 3devo doesn't. At least not now with ICS installed.

Im assuming your talking about the carousel effect, in order to have that you need flash a sense 3.0 or a sense 3.5 Rom
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA
Don't think it can be done
It seems the only way to get something specifically ripped from a newer device is to use a full ROM built from that device's software. Individual pieces, such as camera or visual features, are difficult (if not impossible) to rip by themselves, since the details are unique to each piece of hardware, even within a specific manufacturer. If it was that simple, I'm sure we'd have a front-facing camera on the ICS ROMs by now
Seriously though, I'm certain it can't be done, at least, not easily.

I'm using Sense 2.1 on my Evo 4g. It has the 360 Panorama effect. It's either the Synergy_signed_070411_161953.zip or Senergy-R2-supersonic.zip. I can't remember which. But it has the "360 deg" mode.
The Sense "carousel" isn't a camera effect.

I think he may have misunderstood what TC was talking about. When he mentioned "any app with a 360° effect", it seemed like he was talking about the "carousel" (360, carousel...you know?) effect on the homescreen.
But I'm certain, as you are, that he meant Panorama. Sense 2.1 incorporated Panorama into its camera app framework, and most ROMs based off of 2.1 and above have it, including the ICS ROMs since that's a standard feature of the default ICS camera.
Anyone have the apk for the 360 camera; I have the panarama apk already installed?

I found that using Cyanogen Mod 7 + the high quality audio patch gave really good video results. If you don't like the standard camera app then I'd go for a Sense rom.
But if your going to be filming and taking pictures in low light then the camera on this phone will not cut it.

Tbh take your pick from anything not ICS, Virtuous's roms, Insert Coin's rom? Up to you really, aslong as they are gingerbread they shouldn't be slow.
I wonder y sense 2.1 camera is not as good as sense 3/3.5?

Drivers, I suppose, or the Camera app isn't optimized for it. That's just me guessing. I do agree though that the image quality from GB/2.1 Sense ROMs are much better compared to 3/3.5 or even ICS ROMs. I'd go for Virtuous Sense 2.0. Tried that back then. It wasn't perfect, but with a few tweaks here and there (Supercharger Script etc.) I got it running smooth and stable.

I briefly tried to replace my camera /system app a while back but never go it to work, then when I put the old camera app back in pressing the camera button to launch it wont work anymore. Eventually reinstalled the rom (cm7).
I'm talking abt sense based rom..

You'd have to use a launcher like go or adw and use a sense theme. Try the play store. Nexus is pure android with no overlays, for most people that's why it's so great
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
yeah i tried that, nothing comes even close
If you're using a cyanogen or aokp rom you can apply the sense theme. I thinks its just what you're looking for. It's not included nor free, but out there and working even though it gives you the error when applying.

Good flashlight app like the stock HTC flashlight

I came from the htc 3d and it had a great stock flashlight app. Does Samsung make a good flashlight app?
Dunno what more you need but under wigets the first page there's a wiget called assistive light. Works like a charm. ( wish it was a app also) the on/off time for the led light is extremely fast compared to all phones previous to the S4

yeah I wish we had the HTC sense 5 flashlight app modded to work for the S4, but for the time being I am using Galaxy Nexus (GN) Flashlight...its pretty good and has a decent widget.
Try that one ,you can light it up on the lockscreen by shaking your phone ,you can adjust the sensivity!!

I like Droid light by Motorola. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.dlight No options, just a 174k flashlight app. I never understood why some flashlight apps were megabytes in size when all it's meant to do was turn on a led.
