Can anyone pull the "Look at me" SMS ringtone from their g1? I used to have it and miss it dearly on my vibrant.

Why not just pull it from a ROM?

With Handcent you can. I do not believe you can do it with the stock messaging service.

Ok. I did a search and found nothing inrefrence to this issue. I have made the custom ringtones aswell as the custom notifications and placed them on my phone under meia/audio/notifications. I only get a second of play when I place the custom notification tone for an email alert. They are .mp3 files and are at most 3 seconds long. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks in advance
How r u getting custom ringtones to play on vibrant?

download a ringtone from zedge, move it to /system/media/audio/<what you want to use it for>, then reboot.
so say i downloaded "mytone.mp3" and i want to use it as a email notification, i use rootexplorer to move it from /sdcard/zedge/ringtones to /system/media/audio/notifications then reboot. then i can go into the email app and select my ringtone as "mytone"
Thanks ill give that a shot

Anyone know of a way to turn off the 'Quick Reply' dialog that opens for incoming sms? I use Handcent, so I never use it.
There's a quick reply dialog? Damn how do toy turn it on? That would be handy lol

It turns out that the quick reply dialog is part of handcent, and can be turned of in settings.

I'm a handcent fan, but the froyo stock app is pretty decent.

did this just start happening out of the blue? or did it happen after you installed or changed something?
also, are you refering to the sd card notification sound? turn off the sd card notification in the Sound settings and see if your phone still does the annoying tone
I have no idea...I updated mp3 music download and then I noticed that this happened... but I don't know if that did anything... I don't know what the sd notification sound is... but it's the default ringtone that goes on instead of the droid sound

are you rooted?
i think the sound file responsible for this is in /system/customize/resource/
see if it's in there. you must be rooted and using Root Explorer
I'm not rooted... running stock rom

Hi there,
Does anyone know how to make the atrix vibrate on call connect and call end?
My old Nexus S did and I like the feature.

"Callend Vibrate" is one choice.
Joe
Touch pro 2 had it too, liked it it also.

Try callVibrate (novaeye) from the market, is the best one for me so far, vibration on answer and end call.

Thanks guys...
I found that callvibrate worked best for me.

You're welcome.

I use Vibralert, its a root app, and offers customizable vibrations on: outgoing answered, incoming answered, outgoing failed & active ended. as well as an in call alerts option.
