Market Madness????

Hi guys,
Not too sure if this is the correct section to post this, but i'm not too sure what would be the best place..
For the last 3 nights my phone has been doing something very strange...
Without any confirmation from me ALL applications I have ever downloaded from the market are being redownloaded, all at once, and filling up my app memory, im talking like 80 apps..
Even if I delete the apps (one-by-one, anyone who has done it knows its sooo slow), sure enough I wake up the next morning and there are 70+ notifications of apps downloading and they are all there again..
I just don't get why its doing it, and its bl--dy annoying.
I have asked 2 of my friends if they are having this issue and they say they are not.
am I alone, anyone else's phone seem to be possessed by a night ghost?

No, you are not alone!
I, too, had this strange behaviour 3 days ago. My G1 was hibernating, I unlocked the screen and saw the notifications with all the applications I ever installed from the market beeing installed (and some still installing). I uninstalled all from "My Downloads" with the option "I need more space ...", did a hard reset, re-configured the G1, and installed all my "must have" APKs with a file manager (downloaded via market).
And luckily today I only see the file manager which I've installed via the market, and the rest of the "My Downloads" history is gone (what a pity ).
So, I can't tell you why the phone was installing all the software again without my permission, and I also can't tell you how or why the "My Downloads" history is clean now.

thats freaky man, ive only had items randomy start downloading if i went to update it, and it got stuck on downloading and i forgot about it, the next time i turn on my phone ill have 3 or 4 updates downloading at once lol

How to kill background apps from auto-starting

So for example I download ebay app off the market (and others like it) and I notice that it starts up each time my device is started. I get on ebay maybe once a week but do not need this app taking up memory as an autostart. I know how to do it on a WM device but how do I stop them on a DINC...newbie?
Please advise...

Search "Autostarts" in the app market. It is not free but seems to work well.

App disappeared from market

I know extacly what u mean i mean one day they were there like Current Widget but now im forced to type in this CurrentWidget everytime i want to download this application and IMDB also....... Something weirdd..

no what i must do?

Look for "Market Enabler" apk on google, download and install on your phone (requires root)
Launch MarketEnabler and go to "settings list" tab, tap and hold on [us] T-mobile and choose "fake this provider now". Then, click on "allow" if Super user asked. Finally, go to the market and you'll see all the apps.

Is there anyone tried this out before?

I just tried it, didnt seem to work for me. Rebooting now to see if it helps.

Need help with App Drawer Crashing

Hello everyone. Im looking for some help for my cousin.
My cousin got a Iconia A501 (AT&T Model) for Christmas. Whenever he opens up the app drawer it force closes and he is kicked to the homescreen. An error message comes up stating that the Market App has stopped responding when this happens. He cleared the Market cache but it made no difference.
Can anyone think why this might happen and how to correct it?

Try doing a factory reset on the device which will reset it back to factory.

That was going to be the next thing I have him do, I just didnt want him to lose all apps and settings he already added/changed. But it looks like it might be the only option.
He's new to android and its not really a good start for him. Hope it doesnt happen again.

Deleting the market app cach doesn't effect anything. Deleting the user cach, should only make him do the login process again. The apps will stay on the system.
Sometimes, the market app need to be replaced. And the only true way to do that, is to root the tablet.
You may want to install a "launcher app" from the market. You can get it via the tablet, or by pc (market.android.com) This may bypass the apps error.
I think launcher ex is free.

Solution to android process acore stopped unexpectedly

While creating any new contact or editing them have you got acore process stopped unexpectedly error?
There are two solutions to it
(First solution will delete all your contacts. Please make a backup that is done by hitting menu key on contacts n export it to sim or sd card)
1. Go to settings-applications-all-contacts and contact storage n clear the data of both of them.
If the problem still exists then
2. It may b sum app that is causing the force close. Usually apps which deal with your contacts may cause d problem
(in my case it was the recent update of whatsapp that was causing the problem. After uninstalling i never got any force close)
So try to figure out which app u downloaded or updated which deals with your phonebook.
If the first solution doesnt work its definitly some app that is causing force close. I have tried n got success wid the second method
