I have 2 SMT5600s one works fine and i have a good r2sd all image from it to a 1 gig SD card that was written with all 0's before the r2sd all.
I have another 5600 that I need to reimage with the SD card. when I put it in the phone and boot it with the photo button held it asks to run the restore from SD I hit vol down and it starts. it gets past the CRC check and then stops on "downloading splash failed" and will go no further
Any ideas?
I flashed Windows Phone 7 earlier and decided to go back to NAND Android but like others thought my SD Card was ruined. But it is not I figured out how to see the SD Card and Reformat it.... I will gladly post step by step TUT if this hasnt been figured out yet or if there's enough interest. Atleast this is what worked for me. This you will lose WP7 using this guide but your SD Card will be usable once again and you'll be back to the start line. This will only work if your SD Card is atleast visible to your PC.
KEEP PHONE PLUGGED INTO YOUR PC THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE PROCESS.
1. Reboot Phone and HOLD VOLUME DOWN KEY to enter BootLoader Screen (multicolor screen).
2. Download and flash MAGLDR 1.12. Reboot Phone. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7S80S74D
3. When phone is rebooting HOLD POWER BUTTON to enter MAGLDR Screen.
4. Go to OPTION 4. USB MassStg in MAGLDR.
5. Now Download SD Formatter 3.0 Beta from here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K8502IMN and install it.
*If your PC is not recognizing your SD Card go back to MAGLDR Main Menu by pressing the Power Button once and go to OPTION 10. RESET with phone still plugged in, and hold Power Button down while rebooting to get back to MAGLDR screen and select option 4. USB MassStg again. It should recognize it.
6. Open SD Formatter 3 and make sure your SD Card is being shown in the Drive Dropdown Box.
7. You can enter whatever Volume Label you like. Then click the OPTION BOX.
8. Select Format Type - Full Erase, and select Format Size Adjustment - On.
9. Then click Format and your SD Card should be reformatted and ready for use again.
It worked for me and I hope it works for others.

Fire away !! I've got a useless 2gb here
Yeah, please share!
I've ruined my sdcard
Just format the card in a photo camera.
Or do it like me, and format it in Windows Mobile 6.5.3.
Simple.
dude post the tut already.
Many people would appreciate this and not just HD2 users.
GG
I inserted my card in an external card reader and formatted it with SD formatter.
Worked perfectly.
Ok cool. Glad it worked. To each his own I guess lol...I myself do not own a digital card reader nor a digital camera or any apparatus to read Micro SD CARDs so this guide is what worked for me and I posted it to help people who may find themselves in my shoes.

I used Gpart and booting via MAGLDR --> USB Storage --> partitioned SD into a FAT32 and EXT3, so you're directly ready for Android NAND ROM

Genius! worked great! Thanks!
question: what do you mean by "ruined"? Other devices not recognizing the card or something else??
I have a 4GB card but my PC and Android read it as it has 200mb memory total... is that what happens???
I have WP7 now, so it means that its using the rest of my memory rite??
EDIT: Zune software says that i have 2gb free, so im guessing yea
it works!!
Genius, it works!!! thanks man.
To those who reflash back to an android nand
If you go back to an Android Nand build, and you have reflashed android back onto your phone, all you have to do to reformat your card is:
1) Make sure card is inserted in the phone
2) Go to SD card and phone storage under settings
3) Erase SD card data
I had a 32G card. After flashing WP7 all other devices could only read 200megs.
After following steps above, the SD card was reformatted back to 32G being readable by all devices.
No need to download any software, or use a Nokia. Anyway this worked for me, hope this helps
just worked perfect, thanks a lot!!
thank you, worked on both my micro sdhc cards
Is this a solution for a HTC HD2 Windows pHone 7 .... ? to get it work
works perfectly!!!! thanx a million
It just reorganize partitions in SDcard.
Alternativly you can just use any partitioning tool to fix the problem.
Fortunately, one of my SD cards came with a small Lexar card reader so i just used that in my usb port. I did notice that WP7 had used up just about all my memory on the card but the reader actually has an option to format,so i did that and now i have a clean 16GB card again. I saw a tutorial explaining how to put WP7 (well, the memory it uses on SD anyway) and Android from SD on the same card and i really want to try that but...with WP7,it keeps resetting itself after it recovers from sleep mode. if they can fix that, imma try it !!
Sweet! SD formatter is much faster than any Partition Manager! Thanks.
Exactly, I just get to the bootscreen, installed a new rom. Bye bye WP7, then in phone extra's SD Format and ready
I am using the original class 2 16gb card that came with my HD2, and WP7 is running fine. And I have this class 10 4gb card from PNY, wondering if that would give a boost in overall WP7 performance.
I know one way to do this is to refresh back to wm6.5 and then back to wp7. But I was also wondering if I could just insert the new sd card and do a hardset. Will this work?
Changing SD cards and doing a hard reset worked for me.

Same here. Powered off the phone, replaced card, at 1234 Vol up and Vol down pressed, Vol down to hard reset. After this Wp7 didn't boot just rebooting 2 times and 3'd reboot all ok.
I just went into settings -> about -> reset your phone. Worked fine, but also reset twice before finally booting up.
Thank you guys
please help. i have installed WP7 on my HD2 but cant get to my sd card (photos, music etc.). anyone know what the problem is? thank you
What make is your SD card? Was it in the phone when you flashed WP7?
its a kingston 8gb sd card. and card wasnt been in phone whenever i flashed WP7.
wp7 was never designed to support ejectable memory like sd cards. Of course there is a internal (beacaus you have to open the back cover) sd card. So you have to insert the sd card at the first reboot or make a hard reset. wp7 will integrate the sd card to its memory. If you change the card, you have to do the same procedure.
you need to put SD card in BEFORE you flash it or plug in the SD card and do a hard reset
also copy everything of your SD card as windows will format it
to be clear
Installing Windows phone 7 WILL delete everything on that card so back it up before!!
thank you all guys. that was very helpful

turn off the device, hold down the buttons - vol up and vol down, then tap the power button, keep holding the vol up and down and you will get the a message to reset your phone. i believe its vol down to clear and vol down again once its finished.
The phone will reboot, and should install windows again, if it doesnt the go in to magldr and reflash the ROM
oh and keep the SD card in this time!
Hi guys
I think my SD card is not compatible, tho, the installation went trough fine.
When i check device free space, it only provides the ROM space, ie 178MB, altho my card is 2 GB.
I want to buy a new 4GB card.
Can i just then run MADLR again, and reflash the same ROM?
I dont want to brick my device.
Thanks alot!
This is normal, WP7 creates a partition on the SD card which uses all the card except approx. 200mb. If you go to "Settings" and "About" you will see the Memory Card size reported, which should be approx. 1.8GB
To insert a new SD card:
1. With old SD card inserted "reset" the device and boot into MAGLDR by holding down the "END" key as soon as your device starts to reboot
2. When MAGDLR has loaded insert the new SD card
3. Select "Boot WPH" from the MAGLDR menu and the device will reset itself up using the new mem. card.
