[Q] Lighter ROM for Tattoo? - Click General

Hi all, I have an HTC Tattoo with Cyanogen Mod SPQR 0.5. My friend's HTC G1 Dream had too.
It's a little bit heavy for me (a huge rock for G1 Dream).
My friend now is using the Ruyman Reload 2.2.1 mod and I see that it's very fast (and very light, with about 50MB of ram free instead of 10MB of SPQR Rom).
There is a Ruyman mod or a similar light Froyo mod for Tattoo?
Thanks for replies and sorry for my bad english
EDIT: I need Android version 2.2 so i don't want any 1.6 optimized rom. Thanks.

From my experience of trying many of the Roms, Ive found the SPQRom-0.6 based on 2.2 ,Very fast, Smooth and lots of customization its the best 2.2 Custom Rom Ive used

LoL, it's true that it has a lots of customizations but I found it quite slow...
CPU overclock needed?

Best Legend rom!!

Hi!
Just a quick question please. I've got a Nexus one on CM6 and all happy with it. My mate's got a Legend though and has got loads of niggly problems and issues with it and wants me to root it, wipe it, and put a new rom on in for him to give him a fresh start.
So obviously not being so familiar with all the rom options on the legend, could anyone advise which rom is the best and most stable to flash? From looking around it seems the indigo bean rom looks like the best all rounder. what about the cyanogen one though?
Thanks a lot!
I'm using azure (0.5 version, don't wont to update just yet) (Froyo, Cynogenmod6.0)
Well, I really love HTC sense, just for most of the apps (mail, keyboard, browser), but now I'm on this CM6.0 mod for quite a while and I am starting to like it.
It's a bit faster (noticeable) and its quite stable, haven't noticed many issues.
I would definitely recommend this ROM.
(I've got the jonas htc 1.5 keyboard installed, just can't live without this one)
If you stick to sense, just make sure he gets the latest radio and version 2.... versions before 2. where noticeable SLOWER ...
Well there is no best in anything actually. Depends on what he's looking for in a rom. If its for speed go for Kyosa's CM, its the fastest rom so far on the Legend. Have some issues on it though, so not really practical for everyday use. Azure's CM on the other hand it stable, but a bit slower. I personally use the Azure's rom from ali ba, so I would recommend that one.

Good, fast and complete ROM for Hero

Hi, i feel like my original Hero ROM is slow as hell.. freezing for 5-10 sec when i write an SMS.. So i'd like some tips on the "best, fastest and less buggy (Completed)" ROM out there for Hero.. There will probably be different tips from different people.. but the most popular ones perhaps?
Thx
EDIT:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=721551
Noticed this thread..
So pretty much...
Best Sense-ROM -> ChocolateEclair
Best Non-Sense-ROM -> FroydVillain or VanillaEclair?

That graph is a fair bit outdated, and most of the ROMs have since been updated maybe 5 or so times...
Just take a look in the ROM forums, read what people say, and pick one, give it a go, and move from there. Remember Froyo ROMs will be a fair bit faster than an eclair one, since they use JIT properly, and froyo is a newer version of android anyway (2.2 instead of 2.1)
hello there
I'm using villainrom 12, it's 2.1 sense rom, and it's ok
I heard some great things about robomix, kimera (all 2.1 sense).
If You are a fan of vanilla, I think that You should invest in 2.2 - froyd, elelinux (hope I spelled that correctly).
cheers
brat.haneq
So, Froyo is the new name of the new version of Android?
What is Froyo in depth?
Just installed VanillaEclair and i got problem already
Which Froyo would you recommend? A stable one that is
The first and only ROM ive used was elelinux.. i loved it.. now i see there's a Froyo elelinux
swedroid.se/forum/showthread.php?t=16471&highlight=elelinux
Any good?
I think that there are no bad roms here
all Froyo (2.2) roms are similar, or at least I see them liek that, some have issues, that are promptly fixed.
Froyo is faster. simple as that. Some apps require froyo.
Also - there are some gadgets as "chrome2android".
native app2sd option is also nice.
automatic updates in market.
So quite nice features

Im a dedicated elelinux-user.. Love all his work so far.. AND he's swedish! makes everything so much better !

[Q] Fastest Wildfire ROM on Froyo 2.2.1?

Wildfire is my 1st Android phone and I was unable to tell if it is considered at fastest performance or swiftest response, until I was shown one of my friends' Magic on Cupcake with Sense (non-OC). I should say it's a real Magic when compared to my Wildfire OC @ 710MHz (coz 768M is buggy n slower at times). I almost poped-out my eyes when I see its performance.
So, I wanna know if it's got anything to do with the ROMs, or just WF is really a 3rd-rated @#%^&*; or does my WF think I'm so stupid that I'll nvr find out that it is slacking. (pardon my bad words)
Well, let's find out. Pls vote in the poll which you think is fastest for you.
REmember: Here I am finding out which ROM is fastest; not necessarily best with Extra app or launcher or settings. I am more interested in things like split-second response to swipe-answering incoming calls and non-stop-motion swiping across screen. Thanks for everyone in advance.
If you want freaking performance, you must get rid of HTCSense. I recommend using OpenFire. More responsive and faster than CM for me..
You can answer and reject the call with swipe in htc sense, actually . The fastest is the one ROM, with very difficult name, author says, its an absolutely bare android 2.2, extremely stable and fast.
Sunaabh ROM
Well yeah, it's hard to compare Sense-based and AOSP-based ROMS. IMO, SunAabh is the fastest ROM between Sense-based ROMs. But not enough fast for me, cause all the Sense "Loading boxes" pisses me off seriously.
Openfire is fastest. Even after having installed bunch of files: dosctogo, Skype, tango, and other heavy apps, Openfire is still fastest. Do not see logic behind HTC putting own apps over aosp making system less responsive. With non-overclocked CPU and running livewallpapers get 2.4 Mflops.

OpenFire is the fastest, u have to mod it like u want.
Wildpuzzle is slow because it is with HTC Sense. CyanogenMod is faster, but OpenFire is the fastest because it is a NAKED ROM without any extensions.
But Openfire with Jit on and ovefclocked cpu is not stable, CM ROM is pretty stable overclocked+jit

It is stable, just setcpu min 245 and 691 Max and it is fine.

I know what you mean I was using wildpuzzle (newest one) it was fast.
But when you quit a game it restarts the whole sense.
It was battery byebye.
So I'm using openfire for a long time ( a week ) ((again xD)) and it is still the fastest one so sense just sucks and non sense = more CPU ( sense does use a lot )
Just a question!!!
Since there is no chance to root a device using Froyo 2.2 or 2.2.1, how can people still overclock and flash custom roms??

Only official Froyo OTA can't be rooted. The ones available in Custom ROM's are "Safe" versions having their HBOOT removed, which enables them to remain rootable.
Great news! Finally now it Can be S-OFF and rooted!

[Q] What is the better custom ROM based on Sense ?

Hi !
As you know, there are many ROMs for the WF, and I'm a bit lost in front of all those choices.
So, according to you, what is the better (faster and smoother) custom ROM based on Sense ?
Thanks a lot !
Easyest way is just to try them for a few days n c which is better

if you are just looking for a custom SENSE rom ... WildPuzzle is the best ... ) ... its stable ... by d way you still gotta overclock ... it smoothes everything ...
it all depends what you want, each rom has little things others don't, and thats part of the deal, finding which rom suits you best, i use wildpuzzle which i love and i've had a quick play with daddy spuds rom which is impressive too.
horses for courses, as the old saying goes
and remember nandroid backups are your friends
I have used leaf r3 and its prettty good. But wildpuzzle is definitely recommended.

Well as you can see from my sig i use SUnAaBh rom its very fast and smooth whether you overclock or not its nice and simple and it has an improved battery life is you ask me especially over the stock roms
But it you want a slightly more customizable rom wildpuzzle is good but i would go for v0.7 over v0.8 unless you want a transparent lock screen.
SUnAaBh link im my sig it includes the latest radio in it aswell which is a good thing

Best Sense Rom?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new Hero rom, would prefer it being Froyo or Gingerbread. Hopefully I can get a sense rom because I like the syncing options and the sense clock. Are there any roms out there that would suit my need, I know the camera is a bit of a PITA with Sense but I can live without a working cam. Running one of the CM7 betas still on my phone at the moment and I'm kinda getting bored with it. Hope you can help
TIA
Well VR13 is the best IMO but it's 2.1.
SalsaSense is the best 2.3 Sense ROM but it's a bit slow at times. Hopefully that will improve over time since it is beta.
Thanks for the reply, I was running SalsaSense for a few hours but was a bit laggy for me at times, If it weren't for push notifications I'd love to go back to Eclair
2.3 sense was too unstable for me, though I have to say I was impressed of SalsaSense. Erasmux HeroLatte has got some real potential if the work continues, it's still way faster than SalsaSense. The fastest sense rom is probably VR13/ Elelinux 2.1 reloaded, but my favorite is the Tegro Sense rom. It's espresso sense (=good looking) and supports landscape
I decided to go ahead and flash tegro so far its easily my favourite Rom I've used. Minimum amount of bugs , sense and froyo, all together I'm happy thanks for the suggestions guys

hey man if you like sense you can try VillainROM-v13 it's awesome and very fast and camera also work in it but i adore salsasense so i have solve the problem of laggy by flashing (salsasense laite version ) it's awesome and fast
Where did you download salsasense laite version?
In the SalsaSense thread.

I've been using SalsaSense for a few day, and really enjoying it. It needs a big improvement in speed though...
fr speed stick to 2.1 sense roms like elilinux reloaded http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003381
i believe erasmux released a new update to his herolatte,0.5 version was really fast n check out the 0.9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1026699
During my plenty of test, this is the one i finally stated at :
[ROM]Elelinux-Hero-2.1-update1-Reloaded * WWE *2011-05-26
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003381
it's done by elelinux, which is obvious, 2.1 ROM, as world wide stock, plenty of languages no CHinese. Official alike, just rooted and with app2sd which is essential for Hero to install more.
VillainROM-v13 KERNEL?
What kernel should I use for VillainROM-v13?
FlyKernel or stock one IMO.
Can you post link to kernels? Thanks!
SalsaSense
Now testing SalsaSence RC1 with kernel LV 0.4.6. The developers have released version RC2, I don`t want to firm it, waiting for all of bugs would be corrected.
RC1 in conjunction with the kernel LV pleasantly surprised by his fast work,
and of course there`re some minuses.
When you upload content from the Market, downloading status is lost. The same thing happens when booting from HTC Hub. The truth is not always the case.
In general, I will hope that the developers will bring work to the end and make a decent and reliable firmware-based Salsa
SalsaSence RC2.5 with kernel LV 0.4.7!!
I test the last RC2 and it works fine (for me...)
The greatest sense ROM i have tested!!
And sense 2.1 is Awesome! (for my Hero!)
i agree salsa sense is good but it still has its problems, the sense 2.1 roms are much more usable
I also prefer salsa 2.3
