[Q] htc aria roms and flash player - HTC Aria General

How can i get a working flash player in my htc aria browser? i dont care about changing roms but atm i am running cm6.1... i remember with the stock rom i was able to watch some videos online but not all and will do that if necessary.
thanx

You're referring to flash lite plugin with is a part od Sense. Aria doesn't support flash because of it's hardware. If you want flash video in your browser give skyfire browser a shot.

It's actually pretty good, skyfire that is...obviously this only works for flash videos, as he said, and if you're trying to view interactive flash websites and things like that (I.e. HBO.com) its not gonna do you any good...that being said, I don't know how much better flash lite is at accomplishing this...

[QUESTION] HTC Flash Player

I've flashed my 32A Magic with Fatal1ty's 1.4 Hero Rom ... and I noticed that there was HTC Flash Player installed when i go inside the Application Manager, however i don't know how to actually access it ... or does that only mean that I can access flash based sites through the browser?
Or can i open *.swf files through astro or something like ... if i can, please inform me how i can
cheers
yes. as fas as I know, you can access flash based sites through the browser with that
Did you try opening the browser and visiting a flash based website yet?
That is true. I was able to show my friends a stupid .swf using my phone. It played surprisingly smooth!

Flash 10.1 Fake or real?

This is what I spotted on the HTC Legend Facebook page:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-install-flash-10-1-on-android-2-1-eclair-devices/
I would say it's just flash lite so just a fake
What do you guys think about it?
i think its real... i have installed Flash 10.1 to my Legend 2.1 Eclair
Tried to install it on recent Dark Azure... it installs without problems, but browser crashes all the time, so still no flash, even flash lite, for legend and FroYo...
It's real I installed and then tried Adobe flash test website and flash is indeed installed
Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App
well it installs for me, but i didn't notice any difference in performance when trying to play games or viewing videos straight from webpages =/
Seems to be working just fine.
V nice tyvm
edit
I was on cleanenclair and the standard browser
dr.dk/nu -player doesnt work (but this does? -> link
eve-online.com -weee! looks like on me comp
Seems to able to play some flash movies in browser but had mixed results, it deffinatly can play acctual flash movies.
Im impressed so far ;-)
Here the browser open but closes itself right away... = Not working

working here, i tried a flashgame and also the adobe flash website... it said that flash 10.1.something is installed
performance is not that good, but i didnt expect it to be super fast
It's works on android 2.1 only, when you install flash 10.1 on froyo the browser will force close.
Yes it's real. Just install'd it, and ran some test pages. So far so good

Are you sure it replaced the flash lite from htc?
what happens if you use it on a rom NOT based on stock (like cyanogen 5) ?
I bet it works on stock based roms only, because they already have htc's flash lite.

[Q] adobe flash player 10.1 cannot install into cyanogenmod 6.0.2.1

i cannot install the adobe flash player 10.1 into my phone
some body can help me?

Q. I can't get flash to work. What's going on?
A. Flash 10 is not supported by this CPU and AOSP Android does not support flash lite. Even if a hack allows installation of Flash 10, it's doubtful it will run very well.
Sent From My HTC Aria Using XDA App
then is it have any flash player to support?
No I took that from the first page of attns thread for cm6. Its not supported. If you're trying to watch flash videos simply download skyfire beta its in the market...if you're trying to do anything else (such as view flash sites like HBO.com then I'm sorry to tell you but regarding flash your phone is stuck on stupid)

[Q] Playing flash on CM7

Sorry for this noob question. I would like to know how to play a flash on the CM7 rom. After I flash the CM7, I can;t watch some flash which i can do it before on the sense rom. Is there any method to import a htc flash lite into the CM7 or any apk to install on to the rom?
Unfortunately not, flash lite requires some proprietary HTC stuff that we don't have access to. The full version requires a processor we don't have
Sorry
omg... thx ur reply
how about if we use skyfire browser? It is renowned as a one which could play flash. I try it but nothing goes on.

Depends on how skyfire does it. If it deals with the flash content server side, then ye. It should work. It it tries to load the flash plugin client side then you have the same problem as with stock browser
So which browser r u using ?

There's plenty of ways to get Flash working
As for me, I do absolutely nothing on my Nexus 10 that requires flash.

and the default android browser that comes with gomez's ROM
Nothing. I hope the developers are using HTML5.

I installed the newest/last flash apk and load whatever sites in firefox that require flash I've found it to work the best so far.
A few sites I visit still refuse to move over to html5 and a few want you to purchase their app/subscribe to the site for mobile. This works as a good enough solution in the meantime.
Backup the apk from my Bionic still on 4.0.4, upload to Drive, install on N10. Then I use Firefox when need to watch flash vids.

Avoiding flash all together.
I have other computers for that.
This is how you get it to work. You just need a browser that supports flash. I use Boat Browser whenever I load a site with Flash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gunFYgj-au8
there are so many ways to get flash working on nexus 10...boat, ocean browsers r good but for me Aosp browser is the fastest and the smoothest... Never had any problems with Aosp... just use search to get Aosp browser working on nexus 10 stock rom... all AosP roms comes with Aosp. browser hope it helps.
I did nothing.. Never needed flash on my mobile devices.. Ever
Good riddance to that horrible piece of code

You guys clearly don't want as much porn as I do.
AOSP browser with the latest flash apk (available from the "archived versions" section of the adobe flash website) is my solution. :good:
Puffin browser works for me well, but its 3 bucks. I didn't mind paying for it because its works great. You get a free 14 day trial
Latest version of Flash downloaded from the Adobe site, and Dolphin Browser.. I have both frozen via Titanium unless I need them.. I'm all for not using Flash, but I don't want to not be able to access a site just because it uses flash.
