I think if we were to get a froyo and sense rom it would more than likely be the espresso version vs the traditional sense just simply because the traditional sense would have issues with landscape and such.

They need to make a full working hero/legend/froyo-sense rom :] w/og hero icons im using the hero to slide right now i love it but the problem is the rosie/htc sense is transparent which through me off a bit if i had more experiance in rom building i would try lol but sadly im not ;[

this would totally rock I wonder who would step in and build ROMS now that Eugene would most likely be busy with his family and everything. Hopefully this happens and we get FROYO+SENSE that would be awesome .. I cant live without SENSE lol;/..

Stoney, understand where R0man is coming from. It has been mentioned before that Sense UI is proprietary, so including it in any Froyo rom would be dubious at best.
Not only that, what you're asking for is *EXACTLY* what will be offered by T-Mobile in August. The OTA update tentatively scheduled for next month will bring Froyo with Sense to your Slide so there is really no reason to inquire about this.
These questions would best be directed via private message or tweet to a rom developer rather than posted in its own thread on XDA.

That doesn't change anything, really. Froyo is barely functional on Slide, porting 2.2 from Desire would be extremely difficult and time consuming. If YOU want to do the work and have something to show us, THEN make a thread about it. Don't make a thread asking for a ROM just to suit your needs because no one is going to spend 15+ hours getting every little thing working for 1 or 2 people.
Please, I'm begging you, read the rules before you create a thread again.

Makes no sense posting a link to a Chinese website asking a question whether those guys uploaded android 3 in February. I am pretty sure the devs here will know way earlier than you all the details about the upcoming android 3 OS without having you post every single link you can find using google that contains the words "android 3".
Now, now guys, let's not get into an argument here. The OP clearly was just curious and wanted to share it with the XDA members. This is in the wrong section, no doubt, but I'm sure a moderator will sort you out soon.

I am starting this thread in hopes of learning more about the epic and how make my own roms and kernels and all storts of goodies my hope is that all the new people like myself can read this thread and learn what they need to know in order to become great developers
So my first question is how do you make your own rom?
(please if you are a new developer stay in this thread with your questions)

first of all get a dedicated irc client, they tend to be soo much better then the all in ones.
second i dont know much about development but i am fairly knowledgeable able all around android

Hey all, I have been updating my NIghtlies as soon as one comes up, but I have always had the problem that my E-mail takes a while for it to update or it keeps notifying me that I have a New e-mail when in reality I do not...
Its getting me frustrated that I get emails sent to me and I cannot read them, I have to go on the Actual Site and look at them there...
Is there a fix to that? or an alternative way to get my e-mails?? E.G a App??

I'm on 32 and have no such problem...you can try full wipe and reflash rom see if that fixes your problem.
Please post CM questions in the CM thread. If everyone with a question about CM posted a new thread, we would have hundreds of new threads a day...

Yeah, I dont think development will be that big for jelly bean because its expected to be a minor update and honestly, there arent many devs left

if you are on windows google mIRC it is straight forward and you'll be up and running in minutes
