[Q] FM Radio CM6 - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I have noticed some new CM6 builds with FM Radio. I thought that sense was required. Can someone post the apk or version information for the radio that works with CM6.1

FM works on cm6 builds now thanks to miui team. They worked with cyanogen to port it to cm. The FM needs some work on the framework and kernel. I don't think you can do much with the apk. You need the latest cm6 to get to work.

[CONFIRMED]Leaked 3.14 T-Mobile test ROM works with Android

I just flashed to the leaked 3.14 update, and it does indeed work with Android. I'm booting the ShugCRAFT 1.5 distro, and i've got 3G data, working voice and MMS. Seems that the quest for a stock ROM with working drivers is close to over. The leaked test ROM seems to be fairly stable aswell. I will report back if I run into anything strange. You can get this new leaked ROM from here:

About 5 or 6 pages in, there is a multi-mirror link for people who have issues with RapidShare (like me).
I just installed this new stock and it does not support the darkstone froyo 2.1 that I already had installed on my SD card. I do get 3g and WiFi, but I also get the robot voice when calling, so it's useless to me. I'm gonna give a couple of other builds a shot, just in case and report back.
Wow, talk about fast! The new 3.14 seems to blow away the 2.15 in terms of speed. EVERYTHING seems faster. It also has some new stuff included such as Shazam and a new HTC Music client...
As a geek, I gotta say that having 3.14 as a release version is uber cool
So I downloaded and installed the new darkstone Desire HD Beta-2 build and it runs flawlessly. Err... well other than the already known issues such as camera, ringtone, etc.
I hate the bloatware, but being back to stock is awesome as well
--Edit--
So yeah, it was cool, but I decided I really wanted to go back to AthineOS to get away from the bloatware.
I had installed the new stock via microSD, which over-writes everything including SPL. This meant that, because HSPL3 is iffy with newer versions, I went ahead and downloaded the current official ROM from T-Mobile and flashed it via usb first. Then I was able to safely HSPL3 and then flash my fav ROM.
Overall, the new stock is very rocking and I can't wait for someone to cook a stripped-down ROM based on it

Thank you so much. I talked with a T-Mobile customer support person today and he told me that the official ROM 3.14 was going to be released tomorrow!
I'm using the leaked rom, probably not necessary but I'll load the official rom when it's released. It's working great with Android and I haven't unlocked, used hard spl or any other custom roms yet

So far only mdeejay's Android build with hastarin's is compatible with this new Rom.
You can try my combination in my signature. Runs perfect.

Looking for a Fully Working ROM

I am looking for a Fully Working ROM of Tattoo.. no matter what ver...
I think in ver 2.x camera & FM are still not able to work.. and in 1.6 bluetooth has problem.. but there was a AOSP ... is everything working on that ROM???
kindly guide me..
There is no perfect ROM. The 1.6 AOSP ROMs have the camera problem as well. The most usable ROM is HDCR's (in my opinion), which is practically stock. Only thing not working is bluetooth file transfer.
Very disappointing! I was using a Windows phone and a Motorola Linux phone, in both cases a lot of costume roms with many features are available much better than stock ones.
I thought similar things are happening for this model. I am wondering how it become so hard to make a fully working Rom.

Does bluetooth file transfer really works on CthulhuROM? What version (1.7 or 2.0) do you speak about?

I don't think BT file transfer works on CthulhuROM, though I personally not tried. Working BT is a great achievement on Tattoo, so if it works it must be written in bold.
@MrSerbia1 : I think on 'android 2.2 for htc tattoo.Fyodor-froyo tattoo v0.7.1' there is still issues on Camera & FM as do on all 2.x ROMs. If is fully working kindly confirm me.

[Q] darkstone SuperRAM FroYo v1.5 prerequisites?

I'm still running my original stock ROM 2.10.53.1.1 and Radio 2.08.50.08_2 and would like to install darkstone SuperRAM FroYo v1.5. I didn't see any mention of the
necessary ROM/Radio combos.
Can I install with my present setup or do I need to update to the latest ROM first? I think the Radio I'm using is cool but not quite sure of the ROM. never really felt the need to update it but would like to be sure before any installation attempts. Thanks.
Your ROM is irrelevant. All Android needs is a suitable radio, which you have, so download the build and enjoy

[Q] Senseless NAND Roms? (Not gingerbread)

I've been searching the nand section for a while now for a senseless rom but i couldnt find any. The only senseless roms i could find are gingerbread (im using gingerbread atm, having some issues from time to time. want to test a lower version) or senseless SD roms.
Anyone know a reliable, stable/fast senseless rom that isn't Gingerbread and if possible not discontinued?

FM Radio with ICS

Are there any?
I've tried spirit FM free but never worked properly and would cause random reboots while using it.
Why not use the stock ics fm radio. It works perfectly.
I didn't know there was one yet. My search didn't show anything for the glacier.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA
Are you on ics rom?
Not atm. I use the radio everyday so I went back to GB when I discovered there wasn't an FM radio on ICS. Which was right after zips started working on creamed glacier.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA
That's weird. I'm on ics and I had radio. I just deleted since I don't use it. Gb radio and ics Radisson are the same I believe.
Which ROM did you use that had the FM radio?
Hmmm I think I might know why now. I didn't realize you've tried aosp ics. I've tried all sense ics Roma in the dev section and they all have fm radio.
I have been through most of the non-Sense ICS ROMS and some have the FM radio as a ROM app, some do not, but it does not work on any of them. Like you, I'd love to have this as a working feature on these ROMs! Has anyone been able to make Spirit FM work? I tried as well with no luck.
