Adobe flash in T-Mobile G2 - G2 and Desire Z General

How can I play farmville on my G2? Using web webrowser?
I try but it says it isn't currently available on this device, there is no app so the web is the only way but its also declining the game on browser even with flash.
Is there any browsers I could use that will allow me I already tried dolphin browser and still nothing

It's probably recognizing that you're on a mobile device and disabling it. If you download the Dolphin HD browser (from the Market) it has a setting that will allow it to fool the site into thinking you are on a desktop. If that's what your problem is, then this will fix it.
Why you would actually want to play Farmville is another subject all by itself...

Open Android browser on URL type about:debug (nothing will happen), then go to browser settings scroll to the last option which i belieave is UAstring and it from Androd to Desktop.
I dont play Farmville either in fact i dont even know what it does but I did try to sign and play but it is not optimized for this browser since it wont go to full screen

adobe flash FAIL!!AARGH!!!

i have searched like an SOB to no avail...
i cannot watch youtube via web..WTF!?!?!
or even on my facebook app, i cannot watch videos..
however the youtube app works fine...
and the games i have that require flash are fine as well...WTF!!!!!!????????????
What browser are you using? Some browsers like Firefox don't support flash yet. The default Browser, Dolphin HD, and others do support flash.
This might not apply to you, but sometimes when it seems like my flash plug-in isn't started, or maybe it's crashed (ie. a website says "Please install flash"), I run Adobe Showcase which seems to reload it. When I go back into my browser, whatever flash website I was trying to view always seems to work after that.
phaaawk!!! i cant run flash on FF? i LOVE ff!! AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!! is THT waht my problem has been? i need to use a different browser?

[Q] A way to download from Rapidshare or FileSonic?

I download alot of movies on my phone and so far megaupload, hotfile, duckload, letibit, depositfiles, fileserve and oron work.
Though there is tricks to downloading from some of these sites, like depositfiles wont download but it will say "download couldt start and will take you to another page and if you push "try again" then it will take you to another page and if you hold down "try download again" and "save files as" then download will start. There is few more tricks like that for other sites.
Does anyone know if there is a trick on how to download from rapidshare or filesonic?
I use Dolphin HD,maybe other browsers work with these sites, any help is appriciated.

Where does he say that he is downloading illegal movies? There are many free movies also
I'd really be surprised if there isn't an app that is designed to do this. If ones can be made for full scale computers why not our phones? Time to go look...

Thanx,it worked!
I tryed using regular Opera before but it rendered pages like stock browser. But today I finaly tryed Firefox and bam Rapidshare and Filesonic work!
I should have tryed Firefox earlier but I didnt because of bad reviews.Firefox is a beast for early versions,i can already tell that it will be the best browser once they improve speed and make it look better, and make the file smaller-smaller file=faster speed.
Oh sht,i can even use firefox personas(skins) wih it!
Thanx again, now my laptop is almost useless.

In FireFox's case I hear the use the EXACT same rendering engine as the desktop version...so any site that renders on your Desktop on FireFox will render exactly the same on your phone minus Flash..I hear its also easy to port firefox add-ons to it..

Disable Incognito mode in stock browser?

Hey guys, I know this is random, but I need to know. You see my brother has Kaspersky Parental Controls on his Nexus 7 and he has to use the stock browser so the internet filter works. He found out if he uses the incognito tab, he can get around it. Is there a way to disable incognito mode on the stock browser(NOT Chrome)? Or is there an older version of the stock browser without incognito?
He cant use any other 3rd party browser either(such as Chrome, Firefox, Dolphin, etc), otherwise the internet filter doesn't work.
Thanks

I hardly think that's an appropriate punishment. Wouldn't she be better off banning him from using it?
An option could be some sort of parental lock requiring a password to open apps, and locking the browser down. That way he'll only have access to other non internet apps. And if the parental controls you're probably paying money for have such a big flaw, then you should be asking for your money back and finding another.
Another option (albeit quite extreme) would be decompliling the browser apk, finding some part of the code that has to do with enabling incognito and having a tinker. This might not work, but it's probably the only way
EDIT: And it's your responsibility as the older sibling to have a chat with him about either hiding what he's doing a lot better, or finding another source. If his mother has caught him then he's doing it wrong

Best Web Browser?

lol, these threads are usually annoying, but I'm desperate!
Tried Ocean browser but it's fugly with that grey color scheme (couldn't find a way to change it). It matters to me since I'll be browsing the net a lot.
Dolphin is the one I'm settled with at the moment and so far it's nice.
Will give Opera Beta a try.

Definitely the best browser. Its android browser. Yes you need root. Once you do its very simple to install. Its the smoothest and does flash full screen videos without issues.
If you don't want to root, naked browser is also very good.
so far I'm loving firefox, it has adblock and it's smoother in flash videos. =D

Works fast (after the V8 Javascript update), and I haven't had it crash yet that I can recall (I do wonder what people are doing to have it crash "repeatedly" though since I haven't had any issues).
AOSP Browser comes in second for me. Anything else isn't an option for me unless it syncs with Google.

Chrome for almost everything. I use the "other devices" feature several times a day. It's great being able to instantly pull up any tab open on the desktop, laptop, tablet, or other phone.
Firefox Beta or Dolphin Beta for stuff that requires flash. Don't really use AOSP browser anymore.

How do you get Dolphin Beta to actually play Flash? for me whenever I try and enable it, Dolphin tells me it's naughty and refuses to let me force-enable it!

I think you have to change some parameter to Ipad, it's on Android I think, sorry but forgot which option is it. Say if it worked!

The search for a decent browser....

I really like Dolphin and UC browser but both of them leave stuff running even after you've closed the app. If you look in settings, apps, running apps, you'll find that there are services and processes that are still running long after you've finished using the app. UC browser actually runs even after you've chosen 'quit' from the menu!
Boat browser is far better behaved and so is Chrome but Chrome has no full screen mode and Boat a little clunky to use.
Am I right in thinking that these running processes are using my battery?
I've emailed support for both UC and Dolphin about this and while they're quick to reply about other issues, they are both strangely silent about these running processes..
Can anyone suggest a browser that runs full screen and doesn't pound the battery?

Maybe you can try “lightning browser”, its fast. However, in my own experience, i dont like the little options for me to choose and the full screen mode of it, coz in full screen mode I must scroll to the top and overscroll to bring-out the tabs which is not so convience in my view, but i think you might give a try.
P.S. The free version of this browser supports only 5 tabs and 5 bookmarks, plus version dont have the restriction

You can always get the current version of Naked Browser from the web site here: http://nakedbrowser.com/android/
Dolphin had been phoning home all visited URLs to their server, even unencrypted https URLs which is a serious blunder. They're not the only ones pulling crap like this. Most Android browsers are spying on users in some way.
In response to this situation, I made Naked Browser. It will never spy or monitor in any way. There aren't even ads. It does not run on boot, does not phone home data, etc. It is just a web browser. If you use the exit button, it actually exits. If you return to your home screen, it goes to sleep and does not wake up unless you go back to it. Here's the XDA thread for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1929663

android.permission.READ_CONTACTS
It is not widely known but apps can query contact data without requiring the READ_CONTACTS permission in the manifest. Why would a web browser need to read your contact data?
android.permission.GET_ACCOUNTS
android.permission.USE_CREDENTIALS
These could potentially be used by the browser to auto-login to Google but they could also be used for really evil purposes.
android.permission.READ_LOGS
Basically no app should have this privilege. All kinds of data can be gathered this way.
Execution of external commands
This is scary because it means the app may be extending its tentacles almost anywhere, especially if you are rooted.
Cipher(AES/CBC/PKCS5Padding)
They're encrypting data, presumably to phone it home. WebView-based browsers do not need to do this as the WebView component handles all encrypted traffic. This is something extra added by this app which may have a legitimate use but may also be phoning home data about users.
