It does work however in the custom windows mobile rom. I dont understand why its occuring and APN settings are correct in the O/s's. Please may some one if not able to fully help me atleast point me in the correct direction to resolve this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated....Thanks

I have a Euro/Asia HD2 on ATT. Stock ROM, 2.14.50 radio. Mine wouldnt work either until I went to settings, network, and selected GSM only. I am using MDJ's Froyo Revolution 1.5 and it works fine.

First of all, wrong section. I'll move to General where it belongs.
Secondly, does your rom support net filtering? If you don't know then at least tell us what kind of rom you're using.
i apologize, i did not change rom. its stock i only rooted to access a minor overclock and tether features. last time i rooted my phone i used a different method and had a caynogen 6 something rom froyo lookalike . and the stock rom the root i did last time did it also. if i need to load a custom rom then please let me know which one is best for the features i need

Ask the developer of your rom if the kernel supports netfiltering. If it's pure stock then that's your problem.
Update! Just an fyi. I got it to work very nicely simply by adjusting the frequency in the application's settings.

You may need to update your apn.
Google your supplier your region and apn... Eg vodafone uk apn.
Then goto settings, wireless & networks, mobile networks, access point names.. Check that what you get from google is in there.

I have the same type of problem. epc.tmobile.com worked for me, except everytime I reboot the phone, or if I leave it on the charger overnight, I lose my network. Everytime I have to go back into the settings and manually find T-Mobile again, then register it on the network. Anyway to prevent this issue?
I never been able to use epc.tmobile.com because I have the web2go feature...i think tmobile know that we're both using HD2 but different build rom so they would kick us off the network...its kinda weird that i still can use internet2.voicestream.com with only the original android build like nexus2hd rom. Anything with Sense rom, I wont be able to use my internet until I change it to epc.tmobile.com inwhich i cant use. Is there a way to work around to make internet2.voicestream.com with other build rom besides regular ole nexus2hd rom. I would love to use the sense roms. thanks
OK I got my hd2 at a place that would install android and also get my hd2 working on simple mobile at the same time, and so far it has been great but I'm having some issues with the battery life report (it never resets how long it has been unplugged) and also a newer version of my the Tom that I am on has been released. Be I want to move to either that or cyanogen mod 7. My issue is how exactly do I flash a different ron and after I do it how do I get it working right again on simple mobile?
Kinda a noob but I have rooted and installed custom roms on all of my families devices including a evolution, a Droid global and a Samsung intercept?

Well first off, if you payed someone to install android I suggest you do and demand your money back as its free software. Secondly, to install a new rom you have to either use the DAT.exe that comes with your rom, or if you have a ZIP file, put that on your SD card and boot into clockwork recovery and flash it that way. Simple mobile is just a network provider so your phone should still work perfectly. However, as im not american (and where I live all providers use the same signals) I dont really know.
who says he paid for android? he paid for the persons time to install android by the sounds of it
you should read the guides on how to flash etc plenty of information there
Well my isssue was making sure it would work properly on simple ( although they do use T-Mobiles network)
So nobody here knows what to do?
Shouldn't it just be having the right similar and changing a few settings?

...thats what they are saying, read the stickies and use the search function. All you need todo is boot into MAGDLR and flash a new ROM from the DAT.exe file that most NAND builds of Android come with. Simple Mobile is just your carrier, and you will need to enter in their APN settings once you flash a new ROM in order to get data but other than that your phone should work fine.
I somehow lost my 3g flashing custom roms i eas wondering how or what can i do to get it back

if the phone was flashed before going to a different rom then the qpst settings dont need to be changed, if the rom you changed to is aosp then you need the data fix for cm7/miui but if not and your data isnt working then you need to set your proxy settings again, thats iff your on a proxy plan. but if not on a proxy plan then somehow the qpst settings did get messed up and you need to double check them on a touchwiz based roms.
dangit, sry mods i didnt realize this was a old thread resurrected.

Same problem here. I'm rooted and have an unlocked bootloader, on Paranoid Android 3.10 with Motley Kernel and Radio : radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1700.48 .
I'm getting very frequent call drops and it's very annoying. Can someone recommend a stable radio that I could use?

I'm using Virgin/T-Mobile in the UK, i've gone back to .33 to test it out for a while, calls are working, data looks good so far

I'm in India on Vodafone. I'm considering flashing another radio.
Strange.. Try a 4.2.2 factory reset and then re install recovery, and re flash the Parandroid rom..
