Hello, i am running mdeejay eVo Sense rEVOlution.
And i want to set a custom background, but when i am trying to change the
background, i am forced to crop the image, and i cant find any way to get the full
image on my background..
Is there anyway around this, or how can i get the full image in my background?
thanks!!
use a picture editer to resize to native dimensions..

I've recently been playing around with my today backgrounds, however, they are never as clear as the original picture.
I used someones .cab theme with a new background and the image was very clear, but when I just change the standard themes background to a different image, it loses it's clarity.
Whats up with this and is there a way to fix it?
Also, how do I get .exe programs to load on my unit. The only files I can get to install are cab files.
Thanks
Is the image the correct resolution?
If not, it will stretch or shrink it, and that's a quick and dirty operation on the today screen rather than being done with something like photoshop where it would calculate the pixel mapping of the resized image to give better quality.
actually..
I believe what he is talking about occurs only when selecting an individual image as the background wallpaper and it appears with what looks like a somewhat transparent "white haze". I have not figured out what causes this, and the only way to "fix" it would be to use a theme generator with the image you want as the background. If done this way, the image looks fine. This has nothing to do with aspect ratio distortion.
hey guys, im now using htc legend. i have a problem with their wallpaper function. when i try to set the wallpaper by using my own picture, it came out a green box for us to crop and select which part to display the image for wallpaper. can i ask what is the optimal / best resolution? the green box cant seem to stretch to the whole image, most of the time half of the picture only. i m looking forward to display the whole picture as my wallpaper.
sry for my bad english =[ any1 help plx
try getting pics with a resolution of 320*480.
market: wallpaper set & save
640*480 is the best resolution for your wallpapers, .png files will give the best result when using wallpaper set & save

Click to collapse
Wallpaper set&save doesn't work, or better...it works but not in the correct way. If you read the comments on the market you'll see. The guy that made it said (lot of time ago) that he is working to make it works with Android 2.1 & 2.2.
I've lost my faith in that, so I just resize by myself the wallpaper I want to 640x480.
it just works great for me on my stock legend with android 2.1
dunno what your talking about :S
Hey guys I am trying to make a custom wallpaper for my MT4G.
From what i understand, the phone is 800x480.
I have 5 "screens" (homescreens i think they are called?)
so each homescreen should be 800x96 right?
I am trying to make a wallpaper that will show a picture centered on each of the homescreens.
I can not seem to get it working.
I resized my initial picture to 800x96 and pasted it in a 800x480 new image 5 wide. It still does not look right on my mt4g.
can anyone offer any pointers?
The first picture is 500x500
The 2nd is 800x480 as described above.
the wallpaper does not scroll as much as the widgets and screens do
Hello,
I have some jpeg's downloaded via the Nexus browser. When I go to set the picture as wallpaper, I can never get the full image to be the wallpaper, instead I have to crop it or whatever its called.
Is there any way possible to get the full picture to be my background? If so, how?
Thank you,
Whiteice
I am wondering how to resize pictures so that I can get the full picture into my background instead of having to crop it. Anyone have any ideas?
nvm found an app called multipicture live wallpaper that does it perfectly.
I use Image Shrink Lite - thus I never used it to change the current size to a non-ratio one
