Hi,
I am using my Hero with the ChocolateEclair 2.0 ROM + AP2SD. I have a /sdcard/backup folder with most of my apk's backed up there. The latest apk was copied there today I am definitely not doing these backups manually.
I wonder which application does this for me? Is it a Market or is is the ROM itself?
Thanks
Alex

Hey thats it. But you can also create an folder @ SD card with your preferred apps. Youse apk extractor or anything else which let's you extract an apk file... Fx can do it also. Nice tools get from fdroid repo..
You must extract apk from running system or unzipped....
Hi Team,
I have installed the ICS Beta ROM in Xperia ARC S.
I am able to make Wifi+Bluetooth and Root but now I am stucked at Android Market.
I have tried few of the steps for copy and paste the Vending.apk in /system/apps and changing its permissions but this doesnt help much.
Whenever I am trying to launch Market, its running in the backend but interface doesnt comes up.
Any one who can help me to fix my Android Market in ICS Beta ROM??
Thanks
Guys its sorted now problem was with sdcard
Sent from my LT18i using XDA
just try other moded ics rom, like ka06 ics rom, my current rom
I had the same issue with you and couldn't find solution, so i returned to stock 2.3.4.
I will be following this topic and hope you will find solution.
Hi the problem was with Sdcard.
After installing the ICS Beta, I took backup of each file and folder from my sdcard into a folder on my computer.
Format the SDCARD using the option available in the ROM.
Copy the required ZIP files back to Sdcard. Then you will be able to install any ZIP or New ROM from the SDcard.
Dear all,
Yesterday I updated my P7510 to ICS using the UK ICS release and rooted the thing properly. I managed to delete some of the preinstalled apps using RootExplorer in the \system\app folder, but for example I cannot find the apk to get rid of Pulse (what is the name of the apk in this case). Is it located somewhere else or is there another folder in which apps are stored as well? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Although I can help you with the location, manually deleting the apps from /system/app seems like to much "work". Just get Titanium Backup and uninstall (and probably backup first) Pulse and all the other via the app.
Thanks for your reply. In the mean time I kicked out all unwanred preinstalled apps manually, so I am only looking for the apk name of pulse
I found that some apps were just "Installed" have you tried to just uninstall them?

Not all apps are installed to /system/apps when you ODIN flash, check /data/app for the Pulse.
Ok,I have app in one rom that I want to transfer to another rom (installed on hd2),how can I do that?
I tried this-on my PC pulled apk file from rom, then connected hd2 via usb and copy that apk file to sd.Then with root explorer transfered apk to system/apps and after that tryed to install apk by clicking on it and all I get is Aplication not installed.
Help?
Try Titanium Backup (from google play/market)
Install Titanium Backup on both Roms, back up the app(s) from ROM 1, restore to Rom 2.
I use "android assistant" for that purpose But f it came default with the ROM it will not make a backup of it.
give the link a try
- How not to Google Play when using diffrent roms so as not to always go to Google Play or if data/ wifi is not available.
Maybe this is something for you:

Hi,
Since upgrading to Lollipop I noticed that Titanium Backup no longer backs up the APK file. Looking into this I found that in Lollipop apps seem to install as "base.apk" inside a folder by the "com.xxx" name of the application inside "/data/app" along with a folder called lib.
Is there a fix/workaround for this to allow Titanium Backup to backup the APK files as well. Has anyone else noticed this.
Thanks in advance
