[Q] Modifying screen contrast / gamma / hue - Android Software Development

Hi,
Do you know if there is any way to hack the screen global contrast / colour settings on Android devices? I know there exists an API for brightness, but I would like to induce whacked colour modes (change R to G, etc.) which correspond the drug usage.
This would be a very low level operation, so I assume this would be device specific and go to display driver settings.

Different Displays ? Change Color Settings

when i compare my "o2 xda mini s" with a friends "t-mobil mda vario" i can see different contrast and brightness in color. both had same konfiguration.
Is there a controlpanel icon to set color adjustment or any thing else ?
thanks
There's only the baclight brightness control panel applet, afaik. There's several tweak apps available that change the colors of your UI, however. They can all be done through the registry as well:

[Q] FauxDisplay unusual problem ?

Just changed my kernel to Faux from Trinity just for the sake of colour (RGB) and gamma customization which Trinity's TKT doesn't offer..
Anyway, after tweaking the RGB bar in FauxDisplay I am asked to On/Off my display to update my settings but the weird thing is after doing so, the RGB value just changes back to default (255,255,255) and I'm pretty sure its the same with Gamma Settings ... what could be the problem ??

[GUIDE] Night Internet Browsing (4 steps)

The goal of this guide is to have very low screen brightness with high contrast. Also the battery consumption is lowered. This guide was made for Slim Bean 4.3, however should work mostly in other roms also:
A) Use Screen Filter https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.haxor
B) Use black background, gray color for text and dark red color for links http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45710930#post45710930 This tactic is better than invert rendering, because images are not inverted.
C) Shorten the timeout of soft key leds by modifying file "datadata/com.cyanogenmod.settings.device/shared_prefs/com.cyanogenmod.settings.device_preferences.xml". Change value "backlight_timeout" to 1. Unfortunately disabling the light seems impossible (as far as I know), but making the light duration short helps.
D) This I did not manage to do, but I have a faint idea how to do it. The goal is to decrease the minimum brightness to 0, which has been actually implemented in some roms. The following thread has discussion about this, however I was unable to rebuild the framework-res.apk http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42281805&postcount=2
Help with D) would be appreciated.

Color and Contrast adjustment

I remember this thread with the G3, http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/themes-apps/super-amoled-contrast-g3-display-t2817248, and noticed the setting exists for the G4 as well. It's under Accessibility > Vision > Screen Color Adjustment.
Has anyone played with it to improve color and contrast of the G4 screen?
I gave it more contrast by dragging the circle from the middle of the top down over the first blue candy. Tried to keep the same colors, but more contrasty. It's hard to adjust accurately.

As per the link above, already discussed.
Not worth it, ruins the display clarity and accuracy. it's not a true enhancement.

Samsung SM-T500 color temperature

Hello, is there any way to change the screen temperature of my device after rooting it? The blue filter of this tablet is very bad, as it does not change the relative values of the colors, but overlays a layer of color over the entire screen, thus spoiling the contrast and making the black colors horrible.
If you can provide any information about this, I would really appreciate it.
