Picked up a mytouch today and all the local T-Mobile stores only had black and plum available and no shipment info on red and white. I wanted to check out red and black, so for now i got the black and when the red comes in I will take alook at it and see which one I want, the black looks beautiful but I want to make sure its the color I want. Do the stores around you have all the colors?
I just got my phone a couple hours ago. They told me the same thing. But they did tell me of I want to come back in a few days they would swap it out and wave the restocking fee. Looking at the red floor model they had there wasn't much red anyway. I think I'll stick with black. So far the phone is awesome.

I was able to pick up a white one this morning from my local TMOBILE store. Miami, Fl.
I ordered online this morning and was told that in order to upgrade my acct and get the full discount I had to take white. I discussed this with them but they would not budge. Have no idea why. I went ahead and placed the order. Called back about an hour later and was told sure we can give you red but we must cancel the order and it must be cleared from the system before we can reorder it might take extra 3 to 5 days. I said never mind. Hard to figure why I had to take White. Perhaps they have limited quantities of certain colors and maybe white is considered to be a least popular color and they figure they will run short on the other colors so they push the white.
I ordered a white one via 611 - didnt inquire about other colors. Will be here Friday.
No Whites or Reds in Houston,TX went to 4 different stores... and no luck... those are my first choices dag nabbit
Wow I'm glad I'm not the only one..no stores in the Cincinnati tri state area have white or red in stock either. I'm going to call customer service and see what they have to say, if not I guess I'll pick up the black and hopefully white will be in stock within 14 days.
Very frustrating. I thought we were on tmobile and buying an HTC Android device, not an iPhone on AT&T?
First T-Mobile store I went to had only Plum.
I had to go across town to get a black one here in Dallas, TX.

Does anyone here work at Best Buy? Curious if the white Evo has arrived in stores. What are the chances that this phone will ship with OTA already applied? Also, how early does Best Buy get to turn one on as a demo unit? I have one pre-ordered for the 11th and hope to get some info on it now.

My store has 2 white demo's, one functional, the other not. It's just a white battery cover, nothing special, the rest of the phone is the same, black bezel, etc.
Stock won't truely come in untill the 11th afaik.
Can you check to see what hardware version your demo is 02 or 03. Also is it an Epson Or Nova screen?
I saw the dummy phone at my best buy and it looks like more than the battery cover is white. It seems like the whole back bezel is also white so the phone looks half white half black from the side view. Pretty cool looking IMO.

Best Buy's new sales ad starts Sunday, Shipments come in alot on saturday night to prepare for Sunday.

I got my white one today. Does not have the OTA update. it was built on 6/25/10, rev 003, epson screen. i swapped my old one, and i could not believe how different
the screen looks. my 002 nova was super purple. looks fine if you have nothing to compare it to though. your best buy should probably have them today too.. they got the go ahead to start selling them early.

as soon as mine was powered on and enabled to my account it instantly asked me to download the new update. i declined.
My local Best Buy has the new White Evos in stock, so I'm assuming it's been released across the country. [US]
I'm hoping to get one soon.

I work at Best Buy Mobile and we had an Employee News article go through our systems about a week or two ago that literally read "White Evos Lost In Bermuda Triangle." The article went on to say that they weren't really lost in the Bermuda Triangle, but to not expect any replenishment on White Evo stocks for the foreseeable future. Don't wait around for one, they aren't coming any time soon.

I work at Best Buy, and I cannot even get one. The whole state of Florida is pretty much out of them, and they are discontinued.
So don't bother expecting to get one with an upgrade. It's better to just buy one on eBay.
Let your co worker know white evo isn't too far from black one.
Screen and frame portion is black just like the regular black evo.
Only white portion is the battery cover and the small portion of plastic on the back.
It's far from white iPhone and black one.

Actually sprint is going to resell the white evo in November. Probably after the galaxy tab goes on sale which is on the 14.

[UPDATE] Samsung Benelux PR Manager confirms delay of Pebble Blue to the Dutch market, reported by tweakers.net. Several other markets now reporting delays in Pebble Blue, at present UK still looks to be receiving stock of the Pebble Blue. Apparently problems in production of the rear-casing as speculated - tweakers.net say Samsung have destroyed 600,000 of the rear-cases and made changes to production!
Its probably due to demand from what are considered premium markets, namely Europe. Its also possible Samsung underestimated the popularity of the blue unit.
Quite why people would not buy one just because of a slight delay i don't know, nothing else is coming out by the end of June. Its just posturing, they will still buy one of the want one.
here in middle east so far only whites are available no blue..
it also might be because they've detected some flaw with the blue ones, and if that's the case samsung is doing the right thing with pulling those back. I'd rather wait a few weeks than have another One X experience, though I've pre-ordered the white one.

Sure, maybe more people prefer the blue but I have seen virtually no comments that the white is a bad colour and a lot of people on XDA have chosen the white over the blue - not just me .
I have heard rumours about this too. An employee in a local store said to my friend that they might not have the blue color available in 29th May. I ordered the white one.

I've just called the nice people at Clove.co.uk with whom I have my pre-order for a blue unit. They are currently not aware of any delays and are expecting to receive their first batch (including pebble blue ones) on Tuesday. Though obviously things can change between now and next week! But fingers crossed...

Samsung Nordic has said that there will be no blue at launch without really giving a reason more than to say they were just more popular. Although they said this to a number of retailers in Sweden, they have said it is true of all the Nordic countries. One of the retailers got them to offer a "hopefully maybe" later in the same week, but other retailers are now backtracking on the blue, pushing dates back to 15-19 June.
This story from NZ sounds more likely than their failing to get the mix right as I'm sure the operator pre-orders should have given them solid data as to what to expect.
My only qualms with the white one is the risk of glare from the white frame around the screen outdoors. I have a Samsung Media Player 5.0 that's white and I quite like it, but the frame around the screen itself is actually black.
Still, faced with deciding between a white early next week or a blue 2-3 weeks down the line, I'll go with the white.

Maybe Sammy should just release it in three colors: marble white and low-rider bondo multi-color at launch, followed by pebble blue next quarter.
Blue, white, it's still a great phone, if they don't have blue when I go to pick mine up and offer me white, then I will just go with white.

Maybe you're being a little over-sensitive? I only made that comment to stir the pot a little, and also because here in NZ I don't know of a single person who wanted the white (going of a few different NZ tech forums), everyone wants blue (I think we're fairly conservative in our handset selection here in NZ quite frankly).

As mentioned hopefully higher priority markets like the UK will be unaffected by this.
Not sure it's the wrong ordering mix here, since the Warehouse Stationary pre-ordered for both colours but have only now learnt they cannot get the white yet. There is also now confirmation from Malaysian and Thai buyers that only white is available to them...
i have a blue siii on pre order from play.com - they havent stated anything about lack of blue handsets on website - emailed them as well - dont seem to have any issues

Not sure how affected all markets will be, but it seems certain that NZ will only have the white available (updated article to reflect that even JB HiFI, who were saying they are getting blue ones as recently as this afternoon are now also stating white only).
EDIT: Now seeing buyers in Finland, Sweden, and Austria reporting their enquiries about delivery of the blue units are in doubt...

I am one of the people that tried to buy a nexus 6 just 4(!) minutes after it was up for pre-order and found the dreaded "We are out of inventory. Please check back soon." message...
Since then, every so often I went on the play store and jumped from midnight blue to white from 32 to 64... A few times more as a nervous twitch waiting for the day I would find the message "Ships in 2 to 3 weeks"... I knew they restocked on Wednesday, nonetheless I tried...
All this for telling you guys that today after a few refresh the midnight blue became available... I couldn't believe it and stupidly I clicked on the white (as that's what I wanted) and found it out of stock.. I went back to blue and that one too was out of stock again! Darn it... After a few desperate refreshes however it became available again and I managed to snag it... So... I'm not sure what kind of game google is playing but I would just give it a try every day just refresh for 5 mins... You might "hit the lottery"!
The next lottery is when will it ship. Glad to hear your gettin one.

Well I called my local t-mobile and they told me that 1) they sold it but they had none in stock... 2) the phone was locked to them as far as they knew (I'm with at)... I didn't want to chance it and go through the hassle.. I just wanted an unbranded, unlocked version.. 32 GB was plenty for me.. My N5 is 32 and I've never gotten close to fill it up!

The phone is definitely not locked to them. But you have to be a tmo subscriber to purchase one. In other words you can't go in to buy one as an att customer without switching over

Even if you wanted it at full retail. It's always been this way. I'm sure there is some loophole. But they don't make money on hardware..... It's their service
I was just randomly checking yesterday and also got a midnight blue one in 32gb. I was hoping for white, but I cannot complain since I wanted this phone so badly (I'm on Verizon). The email I got said it leaves the warehouse on December 17th so still a little ways off, but I don't mind at all since I was finally able to order it!

Agreed. I found my Cloud White 64 on Monday November 3, in between Wednesdays.
I went to sprint to pay cash and they had a few in stock, he said they never sell any of the nexus 6 and always have a stock. He let me pay cash because i said it was a holiday gift .

Have you tried Best Buy?
At this point I have exhausted all options. I have contacted every possible department with Sprint to try and confirm if they will be carrying the Carbon Grey. I do not understand how a company has no idea if they will be carrying a specific color. I want to grab the phone, and have been holding out on ordering as I want to see if the Carbon Grey is coming. If it isn't, I would just go and get the glacier silver, but if the carbon grey is on the way then I will wait. Anyone have any information if they will in fact have it eventually?
Probably will be in a few months after sales start to decline for the glacial silver. No source, just thinking from their perspective

Well that stinks! If that is the case I may just run out and grab it then. So disappointed that this cannot be confirmed by anyone at Sprint. I will be so mad if I buy this phone and 2 days later they announce carbon grey!!!

TMo will only have silver as well, so the only way to get a carbon gray in the US in the foreseeable future is to buy the unlocked one from HTC.

I chatted with HTC and t-mobile. T-mobile said they will be carrying all 3 colors when it launches tomorrow on May 18th. Take it with a grain of salt though as I am sure no one has any idea. HTC said when more stock is available of the gray, they will open it up to more sales locations. As you can see on HTC's website, the unlocked gray is backordered.
One thing you may want to consider if you're going to use a case for your phone, you won't be able to see the color of the phone for as long as you have the case on unless you get a clear case. I waited to get the Harman kardon edition of the m8 and for the first months it was cool but after that I never took it out of the case so color really didn't matter. Just my experience, you don't have to agree.

That's all I am waiting for as well. As soon as the carbon gray comes out on Sprint, I will be upgrading.
