I notice under settings -> running services i have the following services:
HTC Checkin Service
HTC Message Uploader
What are these things? I thought with psuedo-"Stock" android we would at least be rid of the HTC sense/espresso bs and I'm not sure what these services are doing.

Does anyone know of a list of apps that can be removed/frozen safely with Titanium on the i9505 please?
There are some items I want to keep but most of the gimmicks I can get rid of.

It will remove most of what you do not need.
I found that my phone run out of Mobile usage quota by the very first day of month, which GoogleServices took the most of them.

....wtf? I just use Google's Talk and Gmail. And no email and about 10 text Gtalk message took 1.63GB background Data flow?
Any way, I don't want to stop using Gtalk nor Gmail, but definitely want to found out the culprit that robbed my Data quota. How can I find out which app or service did that ?
Anyone has any issue with Google Contact Sync? It says "sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly".
Several methods I've tried before:
1. Delete the Google account and add again
2. Clear data from "Contacts Storage"
3. Enable all google related services that I have disabled before (Google Newstand, Google Book and etc)
It seems that I can only download the contacts the first time I add the account, but any edit I make on the phone won't sync back to Google.
Can't find any other new method from Google result...

Go to contacts (not with phone but contact app) go to settings then account and see if Google is there
Yes it is there, along with other stuff like Whatsapp, Samsung, Facebook etc. I have tried removing Google, re-add again, and then tweak one contact on my phone, and then go back to the setting > account > google to check, and there it is, "sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" on the Contact part..
I was wondering if you got anywhere on this when you had the issue? I am having a similar problem.
Not not for nothing but turning off google location reporting in "Accounts & sync" turned my phone from a one day phone to a two day phone. Anyone else try this?
I already disable google play location reporting with android tuner. BTW, I did the same for google analytics and ads.

i received my mate 8 (NXT-AL-10) with google play store installed. everything seem to be working well but i noticed in the phone settings/Apps that some google service apps are missing (google services framework, google account manager, google backup transport , google partner set up and many more...).
so my questions are:
- what is google services framework for? do i need it?
- what is google account manager for? do i need it too?
and what about the others? backup transport, partner set up.. are they all needed ?
can someone provide a list of all google apps and services that are installed and needed as it is on the international version?

I think all these things are marshmallow permission issues
Go into settings, permission manager, select apps and add permissions to contact sync and calendar

thanks for that.. i did all this but the problem persist. it looks like the problem is the doze as it is for notifications. it doesn't sync automatically every time. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
